Broken Homes (Rivers of London, #4)

Kobna Holdbrook-Smith is a 5* audiobook voice actor and has added to my enjoyment of each book. OK now my thoughts on this book. I always love listening to and learning about London and the food, the streets and the description of life of the characters. I did not enjoy the plot...it felt disjointed and disconnected. Parts that never quite moved the plot forward. The book ends on a cliff hanger with a twist. I already have the next audiobook purchased so off to read it.

Mom always reminded me that the British use public school and private school completely opposite of what we mean! I try to keep this mind. Glad you noted it here.

I bet that is fascinating. I tried the first book in that series and was not able to read but not sure why now. It could have just been me. I notice that lots of friends like it.

I definitely can understand that. I am listening to the audio. If I was reading it I think I would pass. LOVE the reader here.
Good review, Merry. I truly believe a great narrator can turn a disappointing 2star story into an ok 3star story. Great narrators can make or break a story.
