it was amazing

This is a great book.

Stella Stargirl is a super heroine, and a popular one at that. She is a celebrity, and the treated like a movie star. Her book is coming out, she has her own range of toys, she is super rich.

But her whole life is a lie. All the villains she defeated were acting. The group she works for is actually a terrorist group, aligned with the government, that has been secretly locking people up, and the some of the villains she fought were actually good people. Not only that, our heroine is actually a weak heroine, and she was made to look powerful because of her glamourous looks, so the media would not look too deep into the government's affairs.

The book starts with all the heroes being de-powered. Stella must now not only find who did it, but prove she is a real hero, and not just a shallow media attraction.

The book ends with the hint of a sequel, but sadly it seems the author has thrown in the towel. Sad, as I would liked to have read more.
