AMAZING storytelling. This is my second reading of this book and I loved it even more!!! My original thoughts stand but I feel the need to add a few more quotes and show my love for ♥Caleb and Kitten♥

I was curious, intrigued; I knew I HAD to read it because everyone else was raving about it and WOW I'm so glad I picked up this book!
To say I enjoyed it seems so very, very wrong – it’s dark, intense, uncomfortable, violent, disgusting in place but also compelling, gripping and heart wrenching. The author draws you in and makes you feel empathy for the characters of both Livvie and the ‘monster’ that is Caleb.
*Caleb is dark and dangerous with a tortured past that affects him in every single way.
*Livvie has her own demons and insecurities to deal with.
She is confused about her feelings for Caleb, ".....Caleb, at times so kind and gentle and at others, I feared him down to my soul."
As a reader I found myself caring about his character too? – Confusing to me because of who he is and what he's done! This is all down to the skill and fabulous writing of C J Roberts.

So, this is not a story with hearts and pretty flowers or knights in shining armour. It's NOT EASY reading; it's gritty and raw, and packed to the rafters with powerful emotions. And yes it was sexy too, VERY???

I know - it has to be done! Any minute where I can sneak a read without my hubby moaning or thinking I am slacking. Lol. Enjoy your day too! x
I need to work out how to iron and read - any tips?
do u have a cover for your kindle? I do and it props up...hands free. I have to hide out in the bathroom to get some reading done. LOL, leave momma alone :)
I do have a cover (a pretty fabric one with a heart on - I love it) I'll have to sort a make-shift prop Hmmm. Know what you mean about the bathroom - always taking my kindle in there!! Anywhere you can get 5 minutes peace! Lol!

Just wait till you start SITD- it starts you off -UGH, WTF and OMG!!!! Ladies, I have a silly question for you- I notice that most everyone has something other than their normal pic, which I do love and find it super fun, so do I need to change my pic for something fun, cute and male ;-).

I think it's good to use your own pic (a hot alpha male would also be cool! Lol. At some point I will get the guts to put on a pic of myself just to show I don't have 2 heads or anthing! ha ha x

I do want to read Consequences... after chatting with you and Juls about it :) I am going to wait though, until the other one is out. I am going positively crazy waiting for my next Gideon fix and I am not going to do that to myself again, lol. Finishing up Reckless now.... OMG!!!!
I haven't read Consequences yet, it's in my kindle ready but thought I would also read it near the time of the 3rd books release. Is it as gritty as these books Barb? Will we need councelling after? Lol I can't wait for Gideon either. Don't know why it is taking so long!! Are you loving Reckless Mammamia?

It won't take long if you read them!! They are so addicting that you can't put them down. I also felt the same way about Consequences and devoured those books as well. 2 very dark series but oh so wonderful ;-) ya gotta jump in!!!

I starting reading this book for the same reasons. Finished it last night and went right into book 2, Seduced In The Dark. I thought it would pick up right where we left off and it is all over the place with a lot of you characters to keep up with. However, I find myself unable to put it down.

It's not easy at times (infact it's sick and twisted) but honestly it's so worth it. Caleb is bad, I'd forgotten how bad, through my rose coloured glases!!! But he gets to you, he's really bad but then you get his inner thoughts & learn why he is bad. He's also a protector...if you can stick with it through th grit and rawness, the ending is so worth it. xo
