really liked it

Sparse superb prose and a great story. And that’s coming from someone who doesn’t even likes horses that much 😊

I've been tempted by this one but I loathe horse racing just seems far too cruel, so not sure if I could handle a whole book focused on it.

I hate cruelty towards animals (one of the reasons why I mostly eat vegan), and whilst horse racing in my opinion is a loathsome ‘sport’ there isn’t much cruelty in this book. And if I remember correctly. never by the main character. Her love for horses is huge and she treats them very well so that they’ll be able to win races. I think you’ll like this Alwynne.
