Read 3 times. Last read January 14, 2023.
i’m actually lost for words? i was so scared this was going to disappoint me and for a second in the beginning i was kinda thinking it would but just when i needed it to leigh bardugo pulled through. i loved the found family vibes, i loved galaxy stern and i loved darlington naked with horns in his slut era this entire book. leigh bardugo better never make me wait 3 years again but this was definitely more than worth it.

Is it me or Leigh completely rewrite Alex’s personality? In the first book she was a cynical introverted, in Hell Bent she is a sarcastic assholes that always throws jokes when its most inappropriate.
I kinda take it as Alex feeling more comfortable and confident in her surroundings and abilities than in book 1 and therefore her personality is a bit different?
i agree meredith! alex felt the same to me but she has more friends to lean on and more things to care about so she came out of her shell a bit
Question: it's been awhile since I read the first one. Is there a good recap in this book or am I going to have to read ninth house all over again?
you’ll probably have to read it again, i didn’t but also i never reread books before the sequel comes out
@Katie There is a recap on bibliophile .com if you don't want to reread Ninth House. Leigh posted it shortly before Hell Bent released.
Yessssss, I'm so glad to see you loved it too, myonna. Darlington's slut era is his best yet! The next book better be set for no more than a year away...
I'm having a hard time getting into the book. Ninth House pulled me in from the get-go. It was atmospheric and unexpected, and I loved Alex unreservedly. Right now, she's just marking time, and it's got to pick up or I'll have to give up on it. It's too big of a book to read without awe and enjoyment. Tho it would help if I could remember more of the first book, since some of these characters are entirely unfamiliar. Usually Bardugo hooks me right away, and your review gives me some hope.
