it was amazing
bookshelves: 2012-reads

Can't remember when I've read and enjoyed a story as much as Victoria's. She stole my heart from the beginning and I only grew to admire and love her more with each page. There were times when I wanted to shake her and yell at her to wake up and get a grip. Just when I thought she wouldn't, she did just that. Amazing story of survival, love, and strength. The flowers add so much depth and feelings to this story that I was enthralled by it all. Just an amazing and wonderfully well written book with a full bouquet of heart touching moments to remember and treasure.

Kristen Wonderful review, Anne! I've missed seeing you like crazy these past few months. I hope all is going well for you. Hugs and smooches.

Elizabeth (Liz) Great review, Anne!! I've missed you, and I've been hoping all is well! So glad to see you here again:)

Anne OK Thanks a bunch! I've really missed my book buddies, too! I've had a wild summer. First the spider bites, then the wasp sting, and then a full-blown horrible infection throughout my body that put me in ICU for over a week and then three more weeks on a medical floor and then over a month in a Skilled Nursing Facility. I've been away from home in medical facilities for over 2 months and I'm so very glad to be home I don't even have the words to express it. Looking forward to reading your reviews and sharing continuing discussions.

Kristen Oh my gosh, Anne. I'm so sorry for what you've been through over the past few months. I wish I would have known so I could have sent you flowers to help cheer up your days. I'm so glad you're doing better and are home now. I'm glad you're back! If I can do anything please let me know.

((Hugs))

Elizabeth (Liz) Oh my Lord, Anne! I just had a feeling something wasn't quite right. I can't tell you how happy I am for you that you're home and doing well now!! I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that. As Kristen said, if I can do anything to help, please let me know. We've missed you, and we're glad to have you back:)

Ann You've been on my mind. I just knew there had to be something seriously wrong not to have heard from you in a while. Anne, I so glad you're back and hopefully on the road to a full recovery. HUGE Hug to you!!! I'd bring you something from the new DQ...only it still hasn't opened yet. :-)

Anne OK Thanks, Ann! Glad to hear the temptation of the new DQ remains out of reach because it is definitely not on my list of "doctor prescribed" remedies. I'm afraid his list is far from thrilling but hopefully will help me grow stronger and enable me to regain my strength before long. Meanwhile, it's good to be back and enjoying book discussions with wonderful book buddies!

KatLynne Beautiful review, Anne!! Hope you are still recuperating well my friend!

Anne OK Thanks KatLynne! I am indeed doing much better. I've begun to take a few steps without Mercedes (my walker) and my blood pressure has finally come up to a normal range. Small steps but the outlook is much brighter.

Martha Colburn Hi, Anne. I'm Martha. I'm new to Goodreads, and I also love flowers. I grow them at home, then photograph them outdoors, and indoors in arrangements. I don't know how to upload photos, or I'd show you an example. I'm certainly no stranger to health issues, as I have a disability. I'd love to be friends with you on Goodreads, if you'd like to add me. I'm not very techno-savvy, so I don't know how to send out an invitation myself. Wishing you good health; Martha Colburn.
