[Hardcover]
After the first two-three chapters, I was hopeful that this could be a great book; witty, critical and interesting. After the first 50 pages I realised that the exciting first chapters were all the ammo this book had.
"Jeg trekker pusten. Er sliten av å høre min egen stemme. Mine egne ord."
- page 378
Da er vi helt enige, Idunn, men jeg gikk lei 300 sider før deg.
The problem is that 1) the book promises one thing and delivers something else, 2) it is hard to see where this story is going or what it is trying to accomplish and 3) I am sooooo tired of the long and meaningless monologues Idunn is having with real and imaginary people, they go on and on and on and on....
I am disappointed in this book. Even as a clinical psychologist myself, I was not sufficiently amused to enjoy this book. I felt I had to work hard to find some meaningful thread to the story, which should be the author's job, not mine.
This book was finished by 10% interest and 90% stubbornness
