What do I think?

Well for one, Ash needs to grow some balls. Or a spine. F*ck, even one ball would be fine for me considering the p*ssy he currently is :((( (actually, he's been like this from the start of the series which is the extremely sad point.

Second, Nick needs to be shot in the head but unfortunately that wouldn't work for him now, so yeah, he could grow some balls too and get into the adult side of life instead of staying an eternal whiny teenager. Oh well.

And so, dear Dark-Hunter universe:

Sammy Loves Books Yikes!! I'm trying so hard to remember what happened in this one that was so bad, bad enough to run you off. Sorry this one didn't work for you hun ;o(

Blacky *Romance Addict* The main characters actually weren't so bad, but Ash just got on my nerves so much, I can't explain it. His deal with Artemis... I swear the guy has absolutely NO backbone. And I initially read this series just to get to his book, now seeing what kind of character he really is, I don't want to get to it. That's why I'm finishing with the series :(

Sammy Loves Books Oh no, I was gonna say you should read his book now then. It will open you up to understanding why he is the way he is with her. He has serious psychological issues when it comes to that woman. You will understand why when you read his book.

Blacky *Romance Addict* I don't know. I read somewhere that the first half of his book will be his past, and I'm thinking that will annoy me more than anything that's happened with him so far. I mean, I love a tortured hero, but she's gone really overboard with Ash here, you can't feel anything for him except pity. And annoyance XD I don't like that. I don't know how to explain it :( He was interesting in the beginning but as the books go on he's just worse and worse. Actually the best book for me in the last 5 or so was one where he didn't appear at all ahahhahahahahah

Sammy Loves Books Hahahaha, Ok, ok, I get it. His life was beyond sad, depressing, and tortured to the max. And just when you think his life can't get any worse, it does. You might would hate his book too then. LOL

Blacky *Romance Addict* Yeah, I figured I would after reading this. Oh well at least there were a couple of good books here, it wasn't a total waste to read XD

It's just me Shelly B I love Ash's book I think it explained a lot about why he let her treat him that way. The first half is totally different than her other books, the second half is the same. I hope you read it...it's one of my favs:)

It's just me Shelly B It's a long book so if you aren't feeling it I wouldn't get involved.

Blacky *Romance Addict* I don't think I will Shelly. I'm guessing it will be a huge pity party for him and I'm not really up for reading that :(

It's just me Shelly B I understand! If I wasn't feeling it I d*mn sure wouldn't read it. My other fav book in this series was Kyrian's....I just loved that book.

Blacky *Romance Addict* Omg!! That's my favorite book too!!! Best one from what I've read of the series. Loved the dude and the romance was wonderful :D

It's just me Shelly B It's still to this day of my favs!!! It was just the perfect blend!!! I so happy you loved that one too!!!!!

Blacky *Romance Addict* I know!!! Awesome book! I'm happy we agree on it too :D

Ah, Kyrian was one of my faves too. That book got one of my rare 5 stars.

Monty Cupcake ☠ Queen of Bloodshed ☠ Don't read Ash's book, it'll make you hate him more. It basically goes like this - an unwanted, unloved child made a slave & treated worse than manure until his god hood came about at age 21. And you'll see how Artemis has been betraying & fucking him over since he was 20...yet he's still putting up with her demands & abuse 11,000 years later. It makes him seem pitiful & pathetic - I think because he's not anger ridden like Kenyon's other tortured heroes. And him putting up with Artemis all this time, ugh.

It's funny that in the first few books Ash was all dark & dangerous, yet now he seems spineless & kinda wimpy in the later books c

Yep, I got the same feeling too. I kinda prefer them badass even when they are tortured XDXD oh well.

Ann wait to you read acheron it may explain the whole lot more about him I've read it

Blacky *Romance Addict* I gave up on Ash for the benefit of my sanity. I don't need to suffer for 14 books just to get one explanation :(

Dr Goodreads totally agree with your review. I loved ash in the starting books and I was looking forward to other characters books as well. I read 9 books including Stryker's. I am totally not getting the dark Hunter world fever. first 3-4 books - thumbs up. rest just because I dunt give up my series. but I think I am done now. :(

Blacky *Romance Addict* yep. I don't get it either. I agree, first few were great but then it just got meh. And then simply idiotic.

Alleenah_ali Yeah,Ash got on my last nerve in this book.I really don't get how someone can pretend to hate another and then have sex with that person for days in a row.Eeeeew!!!!And also, these books are so confusing, sometimes I feel like I haven't paid enough attention while reading them. How could have Ash be born human if he's Appollymi's son?Is Appollymi good or bad?'cause she's the one that taught the appolites how to become daimons, but even so in one of the books Ash and Simi say that she's good.To say that I'm confused would be an understatement. Also,I don't like that the writer is changing the characters' personality the way it suits her better. In Vane's book I had the feelling that Mama Peltier was a fairly good person, but then in Wren's book she was a total b**ch.Bill was supposed to be a boring lawyer, but then ,also,in Wren's book, total badass, capable of fighting other supernatural beings.Hmmmm....In this book, after Susan and Ravyn get their mating marks,Ravyn tells Susan that if they "do the deed" that's it, they're mated, but in Vane's book,Vane and Bride "do the deed" in many ocasions but they're not mated until they perform the ritual.I'm still reading this series because I love the individual books, and the main characters in each one.But is hard to keep up with the entire series. So far my favorite character is Vane, and I really liked Susan.

Desiree It's mostly this entire series where the characters act childish like each book a character seems to always blow a raspberry

Max C. Old comments and review but i'll say it anyway for future gens who see this, huge spoilers tho:

There's a reason Ash can't just shaft Artemis. She owns the souls of the dark hunters, and she has to give the souls up willingly, so Ash takes a lot of heat to 1, get their souls back, 2, get them out of punishment from Artemis, 3, get her to do anything for them at all. He doesn't have to, but because he's a good guy and he feels sorry for them, he helps them out, and that's why I love him. Because he really doesn't have to but helps them because he's a good person. (He also needs to feed from her, but he doesn't have to be around her for that, he wasn't for the first 2k or so years before she made the first dark hunters. but he also does exchanges for her blood, which is usually sex and/or a beating, because if he doesn't feed on her blood, he'll basically turn into his mom and care only about destruction.)

As for Apollymi... she's not exactly good, she did start on the side of the bad guys (even though you could argue that she just helped a race of people who were wrongfully cursed to painful deaths). She wants the world to be destroyed, but only because she'll be able to meet her son face-to-face and she cares more about him than she does about the humans. Ash isn't happy about it, but she's still his mom and one of the few people he feels cares for him.

As for Ash being human... Apollymi was pregnant with him when she had to run from the other Atlantean gods who wanted to kill him thanks to a prophecy he was going to be the end of them. they locked her away, with the condition for her release being Ash dies or goes to her. She pulls the baby out of her womb before he's fully formed, locks away his powers, and he's put in the womb of a human woman, but he's still born with his silver eyes same as his mom so everyone knows he's the son of a god or goddess. His parents hate him for it.
