This book is a dark romance and it is a BEAUTIFULLY written dark romance! I feel like the true definition of dark romance has been muddied up with books that don’t truly fit in the genre so people expect different stories than they should. Either way this book was one that I did not want to put down once I started. This book is one that I know I will read more than just once and I am beyond excited for the next to come!

The characters of this book are exactly what you would hope for but don’t usually get. Sapphire is young and naive in her upbringing but she is not the damsel in distress that you usually come across. Through it all she holds her own and she carves a spot in Baron’s heart that all are surprised to see. Baron is dark, he is someone you know you would fear. At the same time though you can’t help but enjoy his character and the inner workings of his mind.

If you are looking for a light and cheerful read this is not it BUT if you are wanting a true dark romance then this book will not let you down! Seriously fantastic book!
