I was very much hoping that Hutch would be a lot more 'fiery' than his half brother Slade from book #1. Cuz I was just about bored silly with that book, what with Slade's almost non-existence passion.

Anyway, I remembered I was lusting after Hutch after his 5 minutes appearance in that book. He had the bad-tempered-bad-boy look (at least in that book) going on. But sadly, he was not the same Hutch in this book. Like book #1, the Hero was painted as a too cool and too cold Hero. Again.

I just couldn't feel the passion of long-lost-love between Hutch and Kendra. They were going on with their mundane everyday lives and just about 93% into the story, Hutch just suddenly knew that he loved her never stopped loving her all this while. Where did that come from, I have no idea.

I like my cowboys raging and very intense, so this one was a let down.
