Overall the book was good, with solid writing - and I loved the name "Ronan"! The premise is sort of like a mesh of the "genie in the lamp" story with a little bit of LOTR and Inuyasha (the time travel between current and past/alternate place) thrown in, with also a bit of originality to boot. It had it's share of magical and mythical creatures, some romance tossed in here and there between the MC and her male counterpart, and the background continuity of the other books in the series having to do with the "Shades". It interested me enough that I might have to check out the rest of the series.
In closing, I'd like to thank the author, Sharon Ashwood, for the wonderful opportunity to read their book - via BookSprout - in the form of an ARC. I give this *honest* review of my own accord.
