did not like it

** spoiler alert ** Im just shocked how bad this novel was. The novel portraits the main character, Faye, as a strong woman full of empathy and that she deserves her revange on her husband/ex-husband. Can I just Point out that Faye, kills two people in this book (one of them a decent guy but just beacuse she got scared that the guy would tell her new friends that she was a girl from the country), and frames her husband for the murder on their daugher just to ruin him. How can we like a character like that, she is clearly psychotic and dangerous. In many ways she is the person who should be in prison and not her ex husband, beacuse all he did was cheat on her and was a sex addict he never killed anyone yet Faye deserves her ravange??? Im just shocked how this book even could get published. Im so disappointed beacuse im a fan of the author crime series, but this novel was just horrible.

FirstFires You kind of missed that he had naked pics of their kid on his laptop... he wasn’t that innocent at all.

Martine Kortekaas Exactly, that was why she did planned the last stint.
But overall, this book sucked. Can't imagine why it has gone into printing at all. It's just...so bad?

Yes I agree! To me the story had so many wrongs with it and I have no idea how it could be printed in the first place...

I dont remember that at all, so I must have missed it. I don´t defend the husband at all, he is a giant piece of trash and deserved what was coming but he was sent to prison for a crime that did not excist in the first place and to me, Faye did commit true murder of her ex boyfriend, therefor I do think she is worse and a true psycopat beacuse she did commit murder in the first place, many years before she decided to plan her revange of her husband.

Cristine You clearly missed the reason that she framed her ex for murder was because he was raping their daughter as evidenced by the naked photos of her on his laptop. So yea, raping a child is a crime so framing him for murder seems fair. She actually doesn’t meet the true criteria of a psychopath (it’s psychopath with an H by the way not psychopat) as her first murder was to protect her mother since the guy read her diary and knew she hiding her and that her father didn’t actually kill her, not because she was a girl from The country. The second was to protect her friend from her vicious, physically abusive husband coming home. I’m not saying her being a murderer is ok but her reasons weren’t psychopathic at all and in her mind were a matter of protection. You missed most of the themes in this novel to be giving it such a low rating. This may have been too complex of a read judging by your comments and misinformation. It happens sometimes.

marita lazarus which book do you recommend I read from this author? I've never read anything by her...

AM I completely agree with you. Faye is supposed to be super intelligent, but she carries around a diary with all of her secrets written inside? Her husband, out of the blue 95% of the way through the book, is suddenly a pedophile? Why???? I found it impossible to worry about Faye after she killed Viktor. This book was very, very strange.

Snow Yes to all! And by the way- did the poor kid ever receive her reward phone for breaking into her father’s computer? :-D. This book has the weakest and unbelievable character descriptions possible.

Vegetarian Reads He molested their daughter. He got everything he deserved.
