Starburner (Moonburner Cycle #3)

Starburner by Claire Luana is the third book in her brilliant Moonburner Cycle series. This book can be read as a stand-alone but I would highly recommend reading this series in order as they are just that good.
Rika wants nothing more than to be a moonburner. And yet no matter how hard she wishes for it she has shown no sign of powers. When a sudden influx of ships brings upon them horrors she had never imagined Rika hopes all the more for some power to surface.
When she meets the mysterious Vikal she finds in him an unexpected ally - after all he has more reason than most to hate the monsters he is enslaved to. What follows is a battle to not only stop the monsters but to find more in each other than they could have expected.
I loved this whole series and this book is no exception. The story was brilliant and well written. I loved Rika and Vikal, I thought their characters were perfectly paired. I was hooked from the moment I started reading this book but I expected nothing less. This book is a must read!
