Dust to Blood (Red Slaves Book 1) by Tonya Cannariato is a supernatural/ fantasy novel following Anne, a researcher trying to discover the truth behind the nine amnesiacs that she has become acquainted with. This book is filled with action, drama, suspense, mystery, and even a touch of romance. Anne’s character is fun to read and the way the story is written really pulls you in and puts you in her shoes. The author takes her time to really build a world around her characters to interact with and watching them grow was a real treat. Each part of this story pulls you further into a book world you don’t want to leave. The author thought of every detail making for a well-rounded story that has a good flow.This book is a solid four star read and I am definitely going to look into reading the rest of the series.
