Dust to Blood is a paranormal fantasy by Tonya Cannariato and the first book in the Red Slaves Series (cliff-hanger warning!). Anne is a researcher sent by her think tank to investigate nine orphans with mysterious powers. As her research unfolds she is forced to question everything she thought she knew. This book was wildly imaginative, a unique story that will hook you from the start. I really enjoyed the mythology and the author does an amazing job describing the fantasy elements so you feel like you are living the story. This was my first book by Tonya Cannariato and it won't be my last, I look forward to the rest of this series!
