Starburner (Moonburner Cycle Book 3)
By: Claire Luana
5 out of 5 stars
The story Starburner (Moonburner Cycle Book 3) by Claire Luana is an amazing fantasy story that I loved reading. This is a series that is wonderfully written with characters that you grow to love and care about. Two of them are the characters of Princess Rika and Vikal. They both love the land that they call home and would do anything to protect it. Events and circumstances have these two joining forces in order to defeat/destroy the soul-eaters what are invading their lands. Princess Rika is a woman who starts out very impatient and frustrated by the fact that she has not gained her powers yet. As the story progresses her character matures. She has a strong, independent spirit and cares deeply about others, especially those she loves. Vikal is a character who feels a lot of guilt over events that have happened. It is a heavy burden that he bears on his shoulders. Both Rika and Vikal feel they have a connection with one another. Where will this connection/feeling lead them to? Will they be able to save the worlds that they love and rid them of the soul-eaters? This story has action and danger. It will have you wondering what is going to happen next. I liked the attention to detail this story has regarding Vikal’s world as well as the stories and legends that are told. There are many other characters that you are introduced to and I loved reading how they interact with Rika and Vikal. Some of them are new to the series and others were introduced in the previous stories. They all have their part to play and I couldn’t see this story/series without any of them. This is a book that had me believing in magic and that you should never give up even when the odds are overwhelmingly against you. This is a story that can be read as a standalone. I read them in order and found myself enjoying each book a little more than the last. This is a story and series I would highly recommend reading.
