Dust to Blood (Red Slaves Book 1) by Tonya Cannariato is the first book in her Red Slaves series. This is a paranormal story that is engaging and easy flowing. This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it until the end. Her attention to details made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. Her characters are creative, connectable and relatable. I enjoyed how some were dragons and witches. They took me on some twists and turns that left me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what will happen next. This book is about Annie. Annie is a researcher who is sent to Russia to figure out who and what 9 men are. What she discovers is more then she was expecting. I enjoyed how this story was told in Annie's point of view. I think it helped make her character more real. She made the story fast paced and kept the mystery in the story. The secondary characters were just as engaging and help make the story flow. I highly suggest this book. Will Annie figure out this mystery and who these men are?
