I love Sexy quiet Jax. In the two previous books I was always wondering what his story was. It does not disappoint me at all. I love that he is so musical and writes songs.
He has been missing his mate (Piper) for 8 long years. He never thought to see her again. Now she is back and he will do whatever it takes to get her and never let her go again. The song Key to My Heart was amazing! Who wouldn’t tear up listening to him sing that? In his gruff voice? I love how determined he is and plots to remind Piper how they were and how they can be again. The four leaf clover? I loved it. The memories at the beginning of each chapter..so sweet!
Piper comes back to deal with family obligations. She has no clue that Jax is a shifter or that she is his mate. She is very mean to him at the beginning. I like how she has changed and won’t take *stuff* from anyone but especially a man. I enjoyed her little dogs antics.
My only issue with this story was Piper had a homeless person place in Seattle and she seemed dedicated to that. I expected something artsy and helping of homeless where she is now. It seemed like she just gave that up for the bakery....unless I missed something.
I mean I was pretty Ga-ga over Jax and his Mates story. Very romantic. The title of this book is perfect for Jax and Pipers story. I really thought it was for the fight but the real meaning is so much better.
This is the third in the Rocky River shifter series. I have enjoyed them all and they can be read separately. I see there will be another book. Must be Ian? I look forward to reading it soon.
