This book tells the story of Toby Harper, an emergency room physician with more than her share of personal problems. Added to that, she soon finds herself caught in a web of intrigue that centers around experimental anti-aging treatments administered by Dr. Carl Wallenberg, an imperious endocrinologist at Brant Hill, a retirement community catering to aging but upper scale clientele. Definitely a satisfyingly, if over the top, nefarious scheme - with enough medical rushing about to satisfy hardcore ER fans. (Which I was!)
