I went to a training class at work yesterday and they mentioned this book. I'm glad to see the 5 stars. I plan to read it soon.

Oh, that's good they mentioned it, Jeannie. It's a must-read and life-changer! I wish I'd written more of a review.

Yes, please read it next. I wish this book were more well known. I learned a lot about how to survive situations, and I want everyone to have the knowledge. One of the most important lessons I took to heart is that we tend to freeze--and you see this in other animals; deer come to mind--in the face of danger. Knowledge of this weakness is power--you'll understand the need to FORCE yourself out of freeze mode if you're ever facing some threat. I read this so long ago, but that freezing bit really stuck with me, and I did put the knowledge to use a few years after (not terribly serious, but I froze up and then remembered what I'd read).
