Straight away your thrown into the politics of everything to do with mafia life, this story surrounds Kaz whose a Russian Bravata prince and Violet an Italian Mafia principessa.

With decades of fighting between the Russians and Italians a brutal street war resulted in a death toll of nearly thirty men between their respective Markovic Bratva and the Gallucci Cosa Nostra organizations, there is a secret meeting at a cemetery between Violets and Kaz's father to finally put an end to all the fighting.



Kaz (aged 10) and Violet (aged 4) were in attendance, they struck up a conversation in a corner of the cemetery where their fathers were conducting their meeting.

In places where the sun can hide, the darkest betrayals are made.

Then we jump years later it's Violets 21st birthday and she's breaking all the rules along with her two childhood friends, Amelia and Nicole, they are off clubbing to the one place they have been forbidden to go (Coney Island). They knew the rules, it was installed in them daily.

Amelia and Nicole are the daughters of Violets father's left and right hand men so they knew the consequences of their actions if they were to get caught crossing the boundaries into enemy territory.



At the club she meets Kaz who gives her a ride home. He knows who she is, he remembers her from all those years gone by and she knew by accepting his help that night could cause mayhem if it got out, she just didn't know how much damage it would really cause. A man that is so far off limits to her it isn't funny..

Two families that have been at war for centuries

A few days later these two meet again, the attraction between them sizzles, Kaz struggles to stay away. They try their hardest to keep their relationship under wraps but these two have eyes on them at all times.

I freaking loved this, anything mafia I jump on in the hopes that the author will give me epic, this was epic, I loved the forbidden love between these two star crossed lovers, the feels, the mafia way of life and code of honor they all live by, the only thing that was super sucky about this was the ending and no where in sight is book#2 GAH!! Because it is going to go onto my most highly sort after books, I want/need to know what's going to happen next, do they get their HEA?? What's install for these two..
