“Do you believe in fairies, Reagan?”

Reagan has been living her life under a cloud for much of her life. Facing some great tragedy, she is working hard to finish college, live her life, and investigate her path. Getting talked into going to the club, just this once, she gets a … strange feeling while there.
Killian is working as a bartender. Although he hangs out with the other guys from the club, he’s always been a little removed, never really going for the girls or partying. Until one day, he sees a girl dressed like a fairy who makes him feel things he’s never felt before.

Pursuing her wasn’t going to be easy.
Convincing her to take a chance on him-also difficult.
Persuading her he’s from another realm and he’s a fairy? Almost impossible.

“I know this must be difficult to hear, but Avalon is the home of the fairies. We are from another ream and live in peace for the most part.”
“Killian, are you telling me you are a fairy?”
“Yes.”

I LOVED this story! I’ve always enjoyed stories about fantastical beings and this was given such a great concept. Crossing between the realm of fairies and the realm of humanity is such a great contradiction. Killian, a brave and powerful warrior, is stuck in the human realm after a devastating attack on his home. He needs to find his true mate, but it is seeming like all hope is gone. Until …
Reagan is living her life shrouded in mystery. Missing parents, missing motive, and secrets have kept her from feeling settled in her life. Always looking, Reagan is still missing something. Until a strange bartender makes her feel things she doesn’t understand.

This is a great story of mystery. At every turn we are met with an unraveled thread that needs to be followed back, and then in turn leads to another unraveled thread. There’s a huge difference between the customs of the realms and adjusting to each is exhausting. Also, as I began to meet more characters, my suspicion grows. Who was behind the attack? Who is Reagan, really? There was no point I did not want to keep reading!

This book reminds me of the stories that began my love of reading. Action, intrigue, romance, family, and mystery – it has everything! Highly recommended.
