The Dark Tower (The Dark Tower, #7)

My first thought was, he lied in every word...
Isn’t it funny? So, you read 7 books (8, if you count The Wind Through The Keyhole), you’re at the end of the last one and you’re wondering how the heck will it end. It’s not about the journey anymore. The journey is over. It’s 110% about the destination. You have no predictions, no clues, no nothing. You can’t even try to guess because your mind is completely empty and all you have are the words you’re reading, page after page after page. It’s like you held your breath for the last 300 pages or so.
And then you’re finally there, standing beside Roland, crying the names of your friends and loved ones and ka-mates; those names carried clear in that strange air, as if they would echo forever.
You enter the Dark Tower.
You begin to climb the stairs and soon enough you find yourself at the top of the Dark Tower, watching your name carved on the last door.
You open it.
And you understand...

Oh Discordia! That is the truth.

Nice review, Elizabeth! King is one of my favorite authors and "The Dark Tower" has been a wonderful reading. I was displaced by the end, but maybe it's perfect for this series.
I like your review, but it is not quite that way. as he starts his journey after leaving the tower he has an additional piece of equipment with him. He has the bugle. With each trip through the tower he remembers from the past and brings out an additional piece of that memory with him.
It is an excellent series and one that requires many re-reads I am a King fan and find all his book captivating. What is your favorite King book ?

Hey, sorry for the late answer. I'm looking through my reviews, searching for comments that I haven't answered. My favourite SK book (series) is exactly this one, The Dark Tower. The Stand takes the 2nd place.
But yeah, you're right. I didn't think it like that, but you're right, he had the horn. I guess I was so shocked I didn't think it through.
