First DNF of the year. I got to about 75 pages in and realized: I DON'T GIVE A SHIT WHAT HAPPENS TO THESE PEOPLE
Really that's it. I loved the Maze Runner books, devoured them back when they were released but I think this book is a perfect example of reading tastes changing over time.

Lol yeah I've had that happen to me with a few YA and a few romance authors that pump them out like an assembly line (Susan Mallery, Diana Palmer)
That's exactly happened to me with that book! I finished it but barely. I loved the trilogy. This was a a big disappointment.
I hated this book so much. Like you said it tells you very little how everything happened it was just violent and gory for no reason at all.
It does happen ... plus, I think sometimes authors just keep trying to pump out every last penny from a popular series as they can & the quality just goes downhill.
