In sickness and in health, to love and to cherish . . .

It sounds so simple, to love someone unconditionally.
To give them your heart.

So why is she slowly eating away at my soul with every unanswered phone call, every unread text, and every door left unopened?

She said yes, and yet, in order for her to be with me . . . I need to let her go.

When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I haven't turned back since.

You can either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.

I currently reside in beautiful Colorado Springs where the sun is always shining and there is a trail waiting to be hiked on every corner. I share a lovely and warm home with the love of my life and my five, four-legged children.

Hooray!! This book was so much better for me than book one. I connected more with the characters and felt something for them, even rooted for them.

I still could have done without the explicit sex scenes and constant f-bombs, but the storyline was quite compelling and really kept me burning through the pages.

I am a sucker for a second chance romance, and this falls into that category extremely well.

I would urge you to read it just for the personal letters ;) SWOON!!

The Left Side of Perfect & The Right Side of Forever Duet by Meghan Quinn
description
GENRE: Second-chance romance/Military Romance
NARRATION: Dual POV
BOOK DETAILS: Duet
AUDIO AVAILABLE? No

THE STORY:
Do you believe that certain people enter our lives at the time we need them the most? Whether it be for good or bad and whether we notice it for what is at the time or not till way after, that those people are there to help us get to where we need to be, they shape us into the people we need to become?
Some serve their purpose and then leave us, others stay on the sidelines long after and continue the journey with you.

This is that story. It follows Colby and Ryan's journey in finding their right side of forever.

” It’s easy to fall in love: to be infatuated with another person, but what makes a love last a lifetime is the foundation it’s built from.”

description

MY THOUGHTS:
This is a hard one to review, not because it’s bad, well obviously not because I gave it 4.5 stars but it’s one of those books that you have to read for yourself, take the journey with Colby and Ryan to really experience every emotion. Sit on the edge of your seat suspense and bite your nails in angst, taste all the tears, feel or the heart-warming and tear jerking moments. Share their moments of clarity and self-growth in not only finding love, but finding peace and acceptance within themselves.

Colby stole my heart, can I please duplicate him and keep one for myself ? Dirty talker, check! Man in uniform, check! sweet, caring and unbelievably good in the sack! Check, check, check! God Meghan you have ruined all other men for me now!

The story is so rich in character development, both Colby and Ryan had some real issues to overcome and we watched them grow throughout the story and work through these issues which are real and relevant in today's society. Mental health awareness is a big one and learning to love yourself and feel comfortable in your own skin, which I am certain most woman can relate to. We are given this image of a perfect woman and it’s impossible to live up to that kind of perfection. I love the “left side of perfect” connotation and I won’t go into explaining it all as it will be too much of a spoiler, but it was a fitting and beautiful way to look at subject. It really touched me.

Clear your schedule before starting this duet as I was not able to put them down. I loved the story, loved the characters, loved the writing and loved, loved ,loved the HEA ending!

“The journey was a son of a bitch, but the end result was worth it.”

description

So why the 4.5 stars and not 5?

Did someone say drama? I felt like I was reading an episode script from Days of our lives or Beverly Hills 90210 ! He knew her because she dated him and they are best friends who used to be engaged yarda yarda yarda ! Lol, no seriously though, I have to be honest I did struggle with the in-depth intimate details the author went into with Colby and Ryan’s relationships with other people. I felt it was not necessary to go there, yes they were in other relationships but there was no relevance to sharing those very intimate scenes. That’s just my opinion though I don’t like to read about my heroes or heroines in a Romance novel getting it on with anyone other than each other hence why it lost half a star but no biggie and this won't bother most people.

I kindly received and ARC Copy in exchange for my honest review

MY RATINGS: (All ratings are out of 5)
HERO RATING: 5
HEROINE RATING: 5
BLUSH RATING: 4

4-4.5 ⭐'s

So, the ending of the first book was pretty heart breaking and that theme continues with this book. Ryan is put in such a hard spot but tries to do the right thing.

It actually takes some time apart for them to both have some clarity...thank goodness. Still, it's not an easy road.

Likes:

💓How connected Colby and Ryan were.
💓How Ryan tried to be the better person.
💓Ryan standing up to her Mom.
💓Ryan taking time to take care of herself.
💓Colby and Sage finally talking.
💓Stryder and Rory.
💓Left side. Right side.

description

Dislikes:

💔Reading about Ryan having to put up with everything.
💔Donovan.
💔Ryan's mother.
💔Wish Colby would have initiated things first with Sage and "their" problems seemed forced.
💔Just when things are getting good, Ryan needs to take time for herself (understandable but still).

Overall, I enjoyed the story. I liked Colby and Ryan together...they just fit. I hope the author continues the story line for Bent and his mystery girl and for Sage and you-know-who.

❗BTW...in case you didn't know (like myself), there is a duet out called The Blue Line duet that features Colby, Rory and Stryder.

Make sure you read The Left Side of Perfect BEFORE this one!!!

And THIS my friends is how you wrap up the perfect romance! I cried tears of joy for this book even though I felt like I was swimming in choppy waters for a little while. AHHH!!! I loved it so much! I devoured it in one sitting. I couldn't stop reading it, not even for a second! I needed to know how everything would turn out. Was I disappointed? Not even a little bit! This book (just like The Left Side of Perfect) is stunning! Meghan can write a real tearjerker. She also whips up the angst like no other! I was hanging on the edge of my seat and absorbing ever word of this book. It's fantastic!

Once again, I will not go into plot details because a.) that would spoil the book and b.) you need to feel this journey. But I will say that this book/series is on of my top favorites of the year (maybe even all time **gasp**!!!! So make sure to check it out!!!

faultless!
I am absolutely, thoroughly satisfied with how things played out.

You must read book The Left Side Of Perfect first ( review)before you read The Right Side of Forever.

I really enjoyed reading the Perfect Duet...
This book was heartbreaking YET sweet and endearing, it had moments of combustable passion ..... but most of all, the book had some amazing elements that made you think twice beyond all the love and passion surrounding a love story.

The Right Side Of Forever is beautifully written and I for one am looking forward to reading more from Meghan Quinn.

"You’re mine, made for me, my forever."

I love Colby! That's not a surprise. I've loved this character since book 1 and he's stuck with me throughout. Understanding where he came from to where he is today is impressive. The character development for both of these characters is brilliant. Meghan Quinn excelled in this series of duets. They both exceeded my expectations!!

Here's what I loved:

As stated above, the characters are phenomenal. Colby jumps off the page. He's such a great guy! Caring, considerate, and gorgeous. He's exactly the type of guy any girl would want to fall for.
Ryan is gorgeous, fun, and flirty. She's the life of the party and a complete joy to be around.
They've both been through so much, but persevere.

The plot is genius. Though, it was a bit of a double edge sword. I loved the story. It was executed well, but I can't help feeling that it took a long time getting to this HEA. If you've read the full series of duets, that'll make sense.

I loved the character growth, the emotional depth of character, and the relationship development between Ryan and Colby. They both had me running the gamut of emotions. They feel real and relatable. They feelings and traumas are rendered in a way, the reader can really relate.

All in all. This series has been one of my favorites this year. I highly recommend both duets!

When I finished The Left Side Of Perfect, the first thing I did was thank my lucky stars that I was not only sent the first book to read and review… but I was also sent the second book… and holy hell, I am very appreciative that I didn’t have to wait… given the way The Left Side Of Perfect ended!
The Right Side Of Forever is a continuation to The Left Side Of Perfect. If you haven’t read the first book first, I highly recommend you stop what your doing and 1-click the duet now. Its so good! Also, like my last review, I decided not to jump into an ‘about the book’ section due to giving away to many spoilers. Alright, lets get started with this review!

The Right Side Of Forever focuses more on Ryan and the heartbreaking end to The Left Side Of Perfect. OMG! These two seriously need to get their shit together.
Ryan has a shit ton of strength for what she emotionally went through as a child and now what she is going through as an adult. I had a feeling her past wasn’t going to be easy to swallow, damn I had no clue it was going to be that horrible.

Meghan Quinn….stop breaking my heart!

You all, hold onto your hearts. You’re about to lose them to Colby!!!!
This man is sincere, sexy, and unbelievably swoony.
Did I forget to mention he’s a pilot in the Air Force….

I think I loved Colby even more in this book than I did in part one...This fictional man is my undoing. I loved watching this man’s walls come down slowly throughout this duet. He went from reformed man with a chip on his shoulder to a laid back man with a slight chip on his shoulder.

Throughout The Right Side Of Perfect, Ryan and Colby’s relationship further grows just as another relationship in this novel grows apart… I loved the Ryan and Colby *bestie* moments! I couldn’t get enough of the friendship between these two.

One thing I can appreciate when it comes to this novel and Quinn’s writing, She is so very honest when it comes to talking about abuse in all ways, shapes, and forms. There was no sugar coating Ryan’s past during her flashback moments. I legit cried for this broken little girl. And in those moments I started to appreciate my own childhood more and more. I appreciate my mother and my father for always being there for me and telling me I was beautiful even when I felt everything but. And that is why I will always be a fan of Meghan Quinn’s novels.

Overall, this duet is a new favorite of mine. I can’t wait to reread The Left Side Of Perfect and The Right Side Of Forever. Be prepared to get lost in Colby and Ryan’s whirlwind for the next couple of days. You won’t be able to put this duet down!

With The Right Side of Forever, Meghan Quinn wraps up her epic romance and Colby Brooks’ fans will be ecstatic.

In The Left Side of Perfect we were left with a determined Colby to marry to the woman he loves. But is she the woman she’s unconditionally an irrevocably in love with?

It’s virtually impossible to write a review about a duet like this without diminishing the reader’s experience. Books like these are meant to be enjoyed every step excruciating, fun, sexy moment of it. I can’t stress this enough though, this story is exactly what I wanted. Yes I agonized and fretted, I hurt for the characters that went through difficulties, but I also laughed, smiled and fanned myself.

The writing was spot on and the character development was outstanding. I desperately wanted Colby to get his HEA, and just when I thought everyone would get what they wanted, a plot twist was added. It was necessary though in order for it to feel real. And then, everything falls into perfect place.

I inhaled both books in a single sitting. I’ll confess I skipped a meal and some Z’s but it was worth it.

The Right Side of Forever is the second book of the Perfect duet by Meghan Quinn. It is a sweet, sexy and heartwarming contemporary romance, told from both points of view.

You go in with zero expectations, and yet can't help feeling disappointed. I was bored most of the time.

There were no surprises here. The ending game was pretty obvious. Le sigh...

Colby ended up with someone I didn't want him with (i didn't want him with girl 2 either. yeah i'm difficult) , but my boy got his HEA, and that's all that matters, right?

Seriously, I'm truly happy Colby finally got his HEA, but I'm still disappointed with his ending game. And with the whole emotional affair thing he had going on with her, I just couldn't root for them. Yeah, there's love triangle and emotional cheating (don't deny it, there was. they even almost kissed while he was still engaged).

I wish I saw all this epicness the other readers are seeing because all got from this book was a headache.

P.S. I'm starting to get annoyed while writing this because OKAY! I'll stop thinking about it, or I'll start low the rate lol.

P.P.S. Now I can breathe and scrub both Duets out of my fucking brain! BYE

So, here we go again with people A, B, and C. Only this time, we also have another person aka D. I think D suits that person because I can think of one or two D words that would describe it. You can say that the love triangle evolved and became a love square. Person A is with person B and person C is not handling things well. So C decides to find consolation in D's arms, which sucked for 100 different reasons. For one, it threw away all the development person C had/wanted to have. I could understand a date or two, but D's behavior ruined the book and even more C's acceptance of it. I kind of understood person's C need for sex or something that would make it feel better, but that wasn't worthy of everything else. That meant that I spend half the book cursing my need to finish the story. That also brings me to a realization I had. When I read the first quarter of this book, I thought, this person's personality finally matches the one it had in my mind for it and explained why I was expecting different things from it in the first part of the duet.

Everything good in this book happened after chapter 16 and I would have loved it if we got to see more of it because it wasn't enough. After I read that chapter I felt more free and light, even if the characters went through some rough patches. And there was a ton of character development, that was for the best. I do wonder what happened to the part of the triangle that was left out and I wouldn't mind reading its story. In my mind, we have another situation that's similar to another duet by this author and I would be very happy to see it happening. I might have mixed feelings for the book atm, but I know that one or two months from now I will look back and know that I like the duet and almost all of the characters in it. Except for D. That person can go and die in my book.

Do you have a drink and a few snacks? Good, because you will not want to move a muscle until you finish The Right Side of Forever.

After the jaw dropping ending of The Left Side of Perfect, The Right Side of Forever picks right up where the story left off. Colby’s made a life changing decision . . . and whoa, it’s a doozy.

Now, is your seat belt fastened? Strap in, you want to be secure in your seat because you’re about to take one hell of a ride! One that will leave your heart racing, your heart a little broken and mended, but with a wide smile on your face because you know that Colby’s finally on The Right Side of Forever. I had to really stretch -- but this author always takes readers on a wild ride. No chance she wouldn't once again. There were some personal glitches in this final story that made me uncomfortable and I didn't really like the way things were going for awhile. Even though I was uncertain for a large part of the book, I finally did another read of some parts that threw me, along with a little mind over matter control, and was finally convinced by both the author and Colby that indeed he found his "right side of forever."

The beauty is in the writing and those letters from across the world were extraordinary. Each character held a strong presence throughout and one in particular made my stomach turn and I wished for a big hole to open up and swallow the judgment, cruelty and horror of it all.

The "Perfect Duet" along with the "Blue Line Duet" will always be among my favorites. Meghan Quinn kept both duets on solid ground without a slip in quality from start through to the end.

I devoured this duet in one sitting (I am so grateful to have both at the same time). They are both full novels and will have you pulled in immediately.

The Right Side of Forever continues on where The Left Side of Perfect ended so they must be read in order. This book went in a direction I had not expected but loved very much.

"You're in for one epic ride. I hope you're ready for it."

This quote is directly from this book and could not be any more accurate.

But I love the journey that Meghan's takes us on. There is no perfect journey to finding right one - your Right Side of Forever. Your heart will go through the ringer with this duet, but it so worth it in the end.

I know that my review for this book and it's predecessor are very vague, but they need to be. Not because you will enjoy the story so much more but if you have not read the Blue Line duet (which I highly urge you to do), then the mystery who this duet is about will hurt the whole synopsis of the Blue Line duet.

Meghan has easily become one of my go-to authors in the last 3-4 years. I discovered her when she wrote her Love and Sports back in 2014 and have read every single book hers since then. Meghan is an author I have learned to respect and watch grow with every book. She has proven to us that she can make us laugh to our faces hurt from smiling so much and our stomachs ache from the continuous laughter. But she can also humble us with her heartfelt stories and grip our hearts with the most intoxicating love stories.

Meghan, you have once again blown me away with your characters, the story line and have me falling in love with love all over again.

This book was EVERYTHING. Meghan takes you on an emotional journey of finding your self worth. A story of love lost and love found. She taught us the real meaning of love and that every step on that journey is a stepping stone on the right path. She weaves a story of exceptional words touching on sore subjects and giving us all hope. She gave two people so deserving of love the most perfect happily ever after.

My heart may have been put through the wringer but reading Left Side of Perfect and then Right Side of Forever was worth all the heartache and all the tears because in the end Meghan put my heart back together. This book was her BEST book ever. I may have said this before but it was the best writing of her career and I’m so glad I took this journey.

Do not read this book without reading The Left Side of Perfect first. Hell you should read the Blue Line Duet before that because you won’t regret any minute of it in the end!

5 SMOOCHES

As a longtime fan of Meghan Quinn, I think it’s safe to say that I can no longer refer to her simply as one of my favorite romantic comedy authors. With this book, the fourth intensely emotional military romance this year, she’s demonstrated a depth of skill that far exceeds one genre. I was impressed by her writing before these stories, but now I’m giddy at the prospect of what is yet to come from this immensely talented author.

I was absolutely wrecked when I started The Right Side of Forever. Eyes swimming with tears, a lump in my throat and broken-hearted, I immediately started this story not knowing where it would go. My trepidation was warranted given what happened in this duet’s predecessor, The Blue Line Duet. I wasn’t sure how much more heartache I could take, but as it turned out, I could, in fact, take more, and more was exactly what I took.  Continuing down the road on this journey, readers were paused at despair at the end of The Left Side of Perfect, and that emotion largely colors The Right Side of Forever.

I was enthralled with the details and storytelling in The Left Side of Perfect, and Quinn develops her characters further here, digging deeper into their personal histories and emotions. Where she laid a foundation in the first book, she build a structure here. Further down the road in their journey, the characters are in a much different place than where they began. Everyone gets to a point in their lives, whether it be personally or professionally, where realization dawns and a choice or a decision must be made—Oprah called this point in a person’s life their “a-ha moment.” Quinn takes readers inside the a-ha moments of her characters, when oblivion becomes obvious. Finally, the cloud of heavy emotion began to lift, and for a brief moment, my heart soared with hope and raced with possibility. There was still road on this journey to travel, though. In order to give and accept the love they both deserved, these characters needed to confront their demons and heal, and therein is where the pain in this book stems. Once again, Quinn has readers pondering how much you would sacrifice for the person you loved.

One of my favorite parts of this duet is where Quinn eloquently explains the meaning of titles, leaving me floored by their relevance. Where The Left Side of Perfect was the beginning of something huge and life-altering, The Right Side of Forever is where the transformations took place in this unselfish journey to true love. The beauty of this love story was in the pain and then the healing from it. Meghan Quinn did a phenomenal job of capturing this emotion on the page for her readers to experience along with her characters. It was an absolutely incredible love story, and it will stay with me for a long time to come. Five smooches from me for The Right Side of Forever by Meghan Quinn!

I feel like I should be screaming at the top of my lungs for people to read this duet, specially the ones who read the Perfect Line duet. And to those who haven't, honestly don't pick it without reading the other duet because I feel like you'll be missing the whole essence and magnificence of this foursome if you don't read all 4 books in order. Yes, it's journey and the roller coaster your feelings will go through will seem like it's not worth it but it is, I swear you'll get it once you reach the end of The Right Side of Forever. You will get that the way things are is how they were always supposed to be. And it is glorious. This duet made me so happy, I still have some sort of resentment towards what happened and I think it will always be there, a little something something but The Perfect Duet made me see that things turned out the way they should have and it was amazing watching my baby get his HEA. And boy were they perfect for each other. And getting to see him supporting his best friend and being so happy for him mended all the hurt from the Blue Line duet.

Meghan outdid herself with this one. Even with all the hurt and frustration, I loved the Blue Line duet but this one? It was so much better! These characters fit like two puzzles pieces. And their story was a beautiful hike of friendship and angst, love and acceptance. Everything about it was magnificent and just perfection. I could not have loved it more! The Right Side of Forever was one of the best conclusions to a duet I have ever read. And so is this duet.

The Left Side of Perfect by Meghan Quinn about broke me into a million of pieces and my emotions were all over the place. I am so grateful that I didn't have to wait and I was immediately able to dive into The Right Side of Forever because holy crap that cliffhanger ending had me on the edge of my seat. This story certainly packed a punch right into my chest and left me breathless time and time again. The author truly outdid herself with this beautifully captivating duet and I already cannot wait to see what she comes up with next.

Our man FINALLY got his happily ever after and with the right girl I might add! While I never would have imagined them together initially, the author opened my eyes wide up and now I couldn't imagine him with anyone else. They were truly the picture PERFECT (did you see what I just did there 😉) match and I loved that their chemistry leaped right from the pages. I just adored these two so freaking much and I never wanted their story to end. Literally I could not get enough of these two...like at all!

The Perfect Duet definitely exceeded all of my expectations that I had going in. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was hopeful for these two early on. Sure there were a few bumps in the road for them, but in the end the right people ended up together. Readers be prepared to SWOON when you get your hands on this extraordinary conclusion. You are all going to LOVE IT!

Ohhhh wow. This book, and its companion--The Left Side of Perfect, just about broke me. Talk about feels...This book had it in spades. I used my snow day to read both books non stop...I just could not put them down!

Can I say how much I loved the heroine, Ryan Collier? I mean who couldn't love her? She's funny, sweet, strong, pretty...someone you'd want as your best friend. And she's been through a lot of crap---bullying, body issues, a thoroughly disgusting mother who did nothing but destroy her self esteem...And she just wants to be loved--but thinks she doesn't deserve it. My heart broke for her and how she hid her true self behind a mask of makeup and good humor .

And the hero, Air Force fighter pilot Colby Brooks? They started out as almost adversaries, then became one-night-stand lovers, then friends, then best friends, and then finally...their friendship gets tested and my heart just about broke for Ryan! Colby, wake up before it's too late (I yelled in my head).

And omg, the last few chapters had me wiping tears away....those beautiful letters that Colby wrote...I'm a sucker for a love letter and those were epic.

This couple went on such a journey of highs and lows, laughter and good times, passion and heartache...it just about wore me out. But I LOVED every minute of it! Meghan Quinn is a writer that knows how to squeeze every bit of emotion out of you--I just love her style and all her characters!

A highly recommended 5 stars!

Recommendation appeared on USA Today’s Happy Ever After on September 4, 2018.

Meghan Quinn amazes me with her versatility to write both swoony, laugh-out-loud romantic comedies and deeply affecting, poignant love stories. The Perfect Duet, which includes The Left Side of Perfect and The Right Side of Forever, is the latter, and it is a heartrending and memorable journey in which a one-night stand between two lonely hearts evolves into a steadfast friendship and then gradually blossoms into an epic, soul-shattering romance. This story is complicated, twisty and will squeeze your heart until it feels as though it might burst, and it’s an extraordinary experience. The Perfect Duet is a phenomenally written, beautifully paced and utterly captivating romance with real emotional depth that leaves you exhausted and satisfied.

The Left Side of Love and The Right Side of Forever will stay in my heart and mind for days to come. After finishing the duet last night, I could not wait to write my review and tell the book world THIS IS IT! I love all of Meghan Quinn's writing, but this story stuck out and called my name. The universe is a tricky place and fate will always have a hand of what is right in front of us. I have to stake my claim on Colby! He had me swooning and giggling. I loved his heart and mind. I love that he is an introvert and needs to be challenged. And he is so alpha all at the same time! Everyone needs a Colby in their life! I loved these characters and the story line was spot on. Best duet this year!

Meghan can write one heck of a story! I finished this one in the wee hours of the morning, that’s how consumed I was with this story. I really could not put it down. Seriously, who needs sleep?! I absolutely loved this one more than the first one. This one had me all emotional and stuff. I loved how it turned out. Colby and his girl had to go through some stuff but at end of the day, it was all worth it. They both had a tremendous HEA. Another fantastic story that I can’t recommend enough!

***5 ‘Stepping Stones’ Stars***

Truth #1: Technically there should be two separate reviews going up, and I had planned on doing that, but when you have book one and two on the Kindle at the same time and stopping to review book one before starting book two becomes physically impossible...well, you just let it ride.

Truth #2: This will be a vague and possibly/probably verbal vomity review.

Truth #3: I was kinda hesitant to dive into this one.

Truth #3 probably comes as no surprise to anyone who read The Blue Line duet. That duet caused a lot of...turmoil for some and although I enjoyed it, I had all kinds of crazy rolling around in my head about what would be in store for us in this one. This isn’t to say that I wasn’t looking forward to Colby’s story, nor that I didn’t trust the author to give me a good read, but the hesitation was there. And though things did start off a little slow for me, and I had a mmmhhmmm moment, I ended up getting totally sucked in and adoring ~ even when groaning in frustration ~ this book. It gave me all the feels and more. I mean talk about hitting all the right buttons ~ even the eye rolling ones. It gave me the HEA I believe our MC’s so richly deserve and has wishing there were more words to read when it comes to them.

Colby. I adored Colby after first meeting him in The Blue Line duet and that feeling only got stronger in this one. He’s matured and though he is still very much the regimented Colby we first met, there is a lightness to him you can see. He is still broody and has a difficult time with dealing with his emotions at times, but he is also protective, caring and has honor stamped on his soul.

“Her” Now some may know, thinking they know, guessed, who the girl is and if you have kudos to you, but as there is still some mystery surrounding her, I’m going to err on the side of vagueness. This girl, this woman was someone who upon first encountering her, I was chill with. I liked her, but wasn’t taken by her. But as the story evolved and I got to see behind the facade, I found I connected with her on a level I didn’t expect. I may not have experienced all she went through but I GOT her. I felt her. I not only empathized, but sympathized on a level that gave me a pretty damn good gut punch and in the end I adored her. She is vibrant, sassy, compassionate and strong.

Their journey to their HEA is a definite journey will a lot of bumps in the road, but one that they both needed to go on and I really enjoyed watching their relationship evolve. They were compatible in more ways than then could have ever thought possible giving each other a safe place to land and yet different enough that they challenged each other to be more and in the end I loved where they ended up.

While I don’t believe this one will cause the same….turmoil as The Blue Line Duet did, there will be some who just won’t be feeling it for various reasons, but such is life. For myself, I thoroughly enjoyed the journey, and I will admit that being able to read the books back to back was a definite bonus, but Ms. Quinn did a great job at bringing these perfectly imperfect characters to life and making them feel real and having me want more of them even after there were no more words to read. As for the secondary characters, we get to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Rowdy and Bent are my fav’s, but I’m hoping we get to see more of the entire crew at some point in the future because there were a few things simmering beneath the surface and I really want to know if/how it all works out for them.
