Draco is a single dad trying to raise a teenager on his own. When he notices his son's newfound interest in girls, he takes it upon himself to give him some fatherly advice. Little does he know that his son's crush is none other than his own childhood nemesis, who has taken up the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor at Hogwarts. Draco tries to juggle awkward situations, parenthood, and his own budding interest in Hermione Granger.
The story picks up 15 years after the end of the war. Draco is a DILF and Hermione is the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts. Draco's son, Scorpius, along with most of the male population at school have the hots for the latest DADA teacher.
When Scorpius takes girl advice from his dad the wrong way and ends up propositioning Hermione in a note, Draco is called into a parent-teacher meeting where sparks fly and sexual tension stirs between these old school rivals.
My Thoughts:
I f*cking loved this story! So clever and comical! This was one of the most entertaining Dramione fan fictions I've ever read. I haven't laughed out loud this much since reading Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston.
The characters are definitely OOC but didn't bother me at all. Most of the characters use explicit language and engage in vulgar dialogue, but it was absolutely hysterical! Reading this was like watching a crude version of Gilmore Girls.
This story is littered with comedy gold. From the embarrassing way Hermione and Draco reconnect to the sheer awkwardness of Scorpius and Albus when it comes to girls, there's so many LOL moments. Also, Ginny and Harry in this fanfic are fantastically innappropriate. I loved it!
The writing was well-done. Writing a comedy is not easy. But MotherofBull does an amazing job weaving together a light-hearted story with lovable characters. The attention to details and descriptions really brought the story to life. And the pop culture references were so spot on!
The fluff and smut is top notch! There's banter, sexual-tension, romance, spice, and everything nice. You really get a little bit of everything!
Loved that this storyline equally features the Potter, Weasley, and Malfoy kids at Hogwarts. These characters are around 13-15 years old and try to navigate adolescent things like puberty, crushes, bullies, parents, etc. This aspect of the story was cute but still just as hilarious and entertaining as the Dramione relationship.
Overall, this is one of the most fun Dramione fanfics I've ever read. As a fluff piece, this is 5-stars hands down. But do not expect it to be the same 5-star quality as Manacled and Remain Nameless. It's like comparing the perfection that is the movie Mean Girls to Titanic. Totally different categories but both are amazing in their own way. If you like Gilmore Girl banter and crass language, you'll probably love this as much as I do. If not, you might hate it. 🙈

I was a little iffy about choosing this book, but I’m so glad I did. I loved it!!! This was a Draco and Hermione that I’ve never experienced before, dare I say my favorite Draco? When single father Draco Malfoy’s son Scorpius comes to him at 13 and tells him that he has a crush, Draco does his best to have the talk with him.
Somehow, this translates into Scorpius writing a letter to his professor Hermione Granger, and propositioning her for sex. Queue the confusion and horror. Having laid eyes on her zero times since the war, Draco is taken aback by how attracted to Hermione he is. Unfortunately for him, his big mouth is out of practice, and he once again inserts his foot into it.
However, Hermione is likewise enamored with the grownup single father version of Draco, and the two begin seeing each other, much to my delight. After Scorpius’s mother died ten years prior, Draco dedicated himself to his son. Now that he’s getting a second chance at love, he’s not sure when the right time to bring up that he’s banging his son’s former crush and teacher…
This story also included an amazing Harry and Ginny, their other children James (sucks) and Albus (awesome) and I loved all of their dynamic so much! Harry, Ron, and Draco together cracked me up, and like I said before…LOVED the tension and steam and sweetness between this Dramione! Not much plot at all, but I really didn’t mind!
This was an absolute pleasure of a book to read. Draco is a single dad, and he finds out his son has a crush on his DADA teacher who is none other than Hermione Granger. This was funny and cute, the dynamic between Scorpius and Draco was adorable. The passione and love Draco and Hermione had for one another was magnetic, and i really enjoyed the writing style. The POV rotated constantly so you always understood what everyone was thinking and not only did we get Draco and Hermione a story, we also learned more about all three of the trios kids plus Draco’s son. It was a fantastic read, defs reccomend!
I’m new to fanfic. I’m new to Dramione. I am obsessed!!! This is 100% how it should have played out after Deathly Hallows. Obviously Ron & Hermione aren’t meant to be together but Draco & Hermione… so perfect.
Omgggg single dad Draco is so hot. I had a crush on him when the books/movies first came out and Draco as a dad is perfect. Harry and Ginny on the other hand.. not great. They didn’t seem like themselves at all. They were both very crude in an uncomfortable way. And Ron seemed like an extremely bad version of himself as if he never grew up and just got lazy and grumpy. I didn’t like him either. All of their kids were funny in this book and I liked their side stories.
This book made me laugh, it made me blush and giggle so much while reading it at the gym that I had to change books. It is pretty spicy but if you want to jump on the Dramione train, this was a super fun and easy read.
This follow Draco as a single dad to Scorpius who confronts him one day and says he has a crush on this women who is beautiful and intelligent. Draco brushed it off thinking it was one of his school friends and gave him advice. Little does Draco know after Scorpius sends a revealing letter to the new Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher he would be called in by headmaster to talk about his son Scorpius. But what happens when that new teacher is Hermione Granger?
This was such a funny romcom. I had a great time reading this. I found this quite lighthearted as well. At the start with that letter I could not stop laughing. Horrified Draco confronting his son about what was really going on while crushing on Hermione as she is all grown up and finding ways to run into her again. The banter between them was great. Enjoyed this one.

— rtc — yes, i read fanfic. no, this won’t become a habit. yes, i will be rating this with the same criticism as i would a traditionally published book.
I am on a Dramione fanfic tear... and each one is awesome, one after the next. This one was particularly entertaining! So funny! Give me allllll the awkward cringe moments. I live for them!
Reading the summary, I thought this would be absolute and utter trash. But, I trusted the amount of awards it's won and the raving reviews for this by readers and I'm so glad I did, because it was AWESOME!!!!!! The humour in this book is ELITE. Read it bitches.
🚨CALLING ALL DRAMIONE FANS TO READ THIS MF BOOK🚨
Sure it wasn't that deep or emotional or making me cry like other fics *ahem Manacled* BUT it was so good. I loved the relationship between Draco and Scorpius, I saw another review saying Dramione x Gilmore Girls and that's 100% correct. ALSO, ALBUS IS LIKE SO CUTE.
For my taste, they fell in love too soon, Draco's too soft and everybody behaved out of character. Everybody behaved like horny teenagers, but the characters were all too old or too young for this behaviour. 2,5 ⭐⭐✨
I wasn't expecting to love this as much as I did because crude humour isn't my thing. However, I LOVED the writing style. The author is incredibly talented at writing witty banter reminiscent of Gilmore Girls. The characterisation of both the children and the adults is so perfect, I'm in awe.
I enjoyed the dramione dynamic in this fic. There's a lot of banter and flirting in the beginning.
“Granger.” Hermione jumped. She turned her head to find that her doorway was occupied by a smirking blond Ferret, leaning very handsomely against the wall. “Are you just now rehearsing what you’re going to say to me? You’re slipping, Granger.”
Draco is a DILF and quickly becomes absolutely besotted for Hermione. The sexual tension between them is fantastic throughout the story. The smut was great too 😏, spice level 2 as it wasn't that often nor kinky.
My favourite aspect of this fic though was surprisingly the dynamics between the children. I adore Albus's character, he's so entertaining. I have to admit, that my favourite romance was between Scorpius and Rose. Their almost enemies to lovers relationship was so cute! It felt nostalgic to read 'ya romance' and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved their banter, romantic tension and mutual love for academics.
The contrast between their sweet 'childish' romance with Draco and Hermione's more sexy one was great. The author managed to flesh out both relationships in a satisfying way without the story being too bogged down with unnecessary details or drama.
Overall, I massively enjoyed this delightful and fluffy comedy. I highly recommend it if you want a fic which has great characterisation of the kids and great banter. Even if you don't, still read it!!
This book was cute and silly and that’s honestly the best way to sum it up. I wouldn’t say it was the most realistic fan fic I’ve ever read but hey at times that’s exactly why we’re reading fan fics. Both Hermione and Draco are absolute dorks in this fan fic. They are silly and nervous and not at all smooth. It’s a fun change from how I always pictured them.
Tropes: enemies to lovers?, single parent, hurt/comfort, students teacher, supportive friends, nerdy Hermione and Draco, secret relationship that they cannot hide from literally anyone
Very funny and great balance between romance and tension. The way Hermione and Draco start they relationship without addressing their roles in the war in a more serious way is a bit unrealistic, but I just went with it because this was more focused on fluffy love. I absolutely loved the kids of the next generation - Scorpius and Albus were great to read!
I really enjoyed the single dad romcom feel of this fanfic! You don’t always get that with Dramione. I also appreciated the relationship that Draco had with Scorpius and how we got to see other characters have romances of their own. Would definitely recommend!
I decided that 2024 is the year that I will be counting fanfics towards my Goodreads reading goal. Also because the world is falling apart and I needed something super silly to distract me from the existential dread. 5/5 because I don’t have a reason not to give it a perfect score.
This is a really great read for anyone looking to get into Dramione fanfic but isn’t ready for anything as dark as some of the other options! Shorter than most and super fast paced. So witty, I was giggly the whole time. It was so fun to see Draco being quirky and awkward. Just a cute lil Dramione romcom!
