After Charlotte Bailey caught her ex cheating on her she headed off to Christmas, Colorado to try to save the local hospital from closure. After a trip back to her home in New York though where she thought she would be in for a promotion and returning permanently Charlotte finds herself being forced back to Christmas to close the hospital when her ex took over the seat on the board of Bailey Industry from her father.
Charlotte has gotten to know the residents of Christmas, Colorado during her time managing things at the hospital during her assignment from Bailey Industry. She doesn't know how she's going to take the hospital away from them, especially Dr. Matt Trainer or as he's known around the hospital, Dr. McSexy. Now that she's back in Christmas Charlotte finds herself growing closer to Matt despite all her attempts to keep her distance in this small town.
Miracle at Christmas by Debbie Mason is a contemporary romance novella that is a companion read to the Christmas, Colorado series. As with most romance series each book in the series features a new couple from this small town so they can be read in any order or as standalones if choosing to do so. There are hints and appearances of previous characters though as the story unfolds in the current book for those fans of the entire series to get updates on the characters they've come to love.
For me from the time I read the synopsis of this book to the time I was actually done reading I was greatly reminded of Grey's Anatomy television series. Instead of doctors McDreamy and McSteamy Christmas, Colorado has it's own Dr. McSexy and the story line is one of saving the hospital while beginning a relationship so I knew I should love this one and thankfully that was true. Would definitely recommend this one to the romance fans out there with it's lovely writing and small town vibe with a great story.

I give this book 5 out of 5 Holiday Cheer Stars! This was such a cute holiday novella that left me smiling!
I loved the characters and how this book had that sweet small town feel. The book was well written and the plot went along so sweet and smooth. This is the perfect holiday read that you can read in one sitting and are sure to get happy feels and small town charm!

But according to the couple, Charlotte had created a scandal of epic proportions by opening the doors wide for all the guests to get a full-frontal view of the adulterous pair, including Samantha’s much older husband.
A former soap opera star, the beautiful brunette was affectionately known in town as Diva #1, and her sidekick, Ty, was known as Diva #2.
Her “Thank you” came out a little breathy and squeaky. She sounded like she’d sucked in a lungful of helium.

My Review:
Miracle at Christmas was a quick, eventful, and engaging read that covered a considerable amount of topics and social issues. Family drama, humor, small-town living, failed marriages, corporate corruption, matchmaking, traffic accidents, several red-eye flights, protests, domestic abuse, amusing observations, and a sweet romance were all packed into the month of December. Poor Charlotte. The beauty and peacefulness of small town living were lost on Charlotte as she had been sent – banished really – from her beloved New York City after exposing her philandering husband and his fellow adultering board member mistress while they were bumping uglies on the conference table during last years Christmas Party. Ho, ho, ho indeed. She didn’t take it well and they threatened to sue over her slightly over the top reaction. As a result, Charlotte was the one to be repurposed, far, far away, to a small hospital in her father’s company in Christmas, Colorado. Her father promised it was just for a year, but her father was also a piece of work and more than a bit of a weasel himself. One year later, instead of her triumphant return, both Charlotte and dear old dad both got an unpleasant shock when the ex-husband turned out to be much cagier than expected as dad had been ousted from his own company and Charlotte was in danger of unemployment if she didn’t toe the line and perform devastating duties back in the small town she had just departed. The small town of Christmas, where she was already widely unpopular for her less than stellar efforts at sociability (none) as well as the cost-cutting initiatives she had implemented on the job. I'll be honest here. The book didn't feel very Christmas'y. Or like it should have romance as its main genre. I wanted the characters to have fewer problems to deal with and spend more time having the Christmas spirit. I know it might sound weird, but at a point, I thought "Where is the Christmas, the title promised me?" because I could place the events of the book on any time of the year without a problem. Turns out that a little later the characters would do something Christmas-y and the miracle happened so I was a little satisfied with that part of the book. I wanted more romance. Charlotte spends too much time dealing with tons of problems and not with Matt. I didn't like that and to me, the pairing felt forced. I would only recommend the novella if you have read the previous books in the series.

Charlotte Bailey caught her husband in the act of cheating. At the company Christmas party no less. She was ticked at the situation and didn’t handle it in the best way. Her reaction got her banished to Christmas, Colorado. She was only supposed to be there for a year. Her father promised her that if she just went to Christmas, Colorado for a year, she would then be promoted when she returns to New York.
Only when she returns things aren’t quite the way that they should be. Her ex has taken over the family company. Her dad is now unemployed and if she doesn’t do as he requests, she will lose her job. Tough decisions need to be made.
This was a really quick read. I loved the little twists and turns that arose with the relationships. It was a funny little read as well. Not really a Christmas story I think, but I guess since it takes place in a town called Christmas, it can be considered Christmassy. Four stars.

Although short this book had it all. Great characters and of course being set in Christmas, Colorado you just knew it would be good. While working at Christmas General Hospital Charlotte is instructed by her ex-husband, who now heads the board, that she must close the hospital by the first of the year. With so many people in town depending on the hospital she knows she has to do something to save it. Along the way her and Matt share a mutual attraction. Matt is a physician at the hospital. Will the possibility of losing his job come between them? I loved every minute of this book.

I can't tell you how glad I was when I saw that Charlotte was getting her own story. From the second she showed up in Christmas, Colorado you wanted to know more about her. Then Mason moved on to another series and even though I once in a while thought about Charlotte I pretty much put her out of my mind.
Then out of nowhere we get her story. Yes, I'm being dramatic it's what I do well.
For those of us that having been waiting for her story I have to tell you that you'll be very happy with it. Mason did a great job. She put so much into the story. You really get to know why Charlotte is there and her whole back story.
Let me tell you once you do you will really feel for her. Her past and present sucks! She was dealt a bad hand but thankfully she has people out there that stood behind her and helped her get through it all.
In fact two of the characters (I'm not going to mention names but think Santa) I'd love to read more about. I really loved them.
You'll also learn more about Matt and what happened in his past. Betrayal all around. I wanted to go to Christmas, Colorado or where ever his ex was and have a beat down.
This is the perfect story to relax with after a hard day of Christmas shopping. Get something tasty to drink and turn on the Christmas tree lights and enjoy!

This was such a fun, sweet, and heartfelt story that made me incredibly happy! I officially want to read more about Christmas, Colorado!
This was a super entertaining story. It's a novella so it's pretty fast paced but there were just the right amount of details to keep things moving along at a great pace. I really enjoyed Matt and Charlotte, their personal dilemmas and the development of their relationship. They have a subtle attraction that's really endearing and I enjoyed how they came together.
The writing was really good and I thought it was laid out well so it felt like a full story. There's a bit of drama and tension but for the most part it's got a light, happy vibe happening.
There were a lot of lively characters introduced. I assume they’ve been in previous stories in this series, this is my first time reading this author so they’re all new to me. It was fun meeting everyone even though it was a bit hectic since there were so many of them. That being said, it makes me want more of the Christmas, Colorado series so I want to back track and read previous stories.
Really witty, sweet read. A total feel good read to bring a little holiday joy!

Miracle at Christmas was the perfect little escape to Christmas, CO that this girl needed last night.
I have loved the books in the series that I have read so far (need to go back and read a few) and I couldn't wait to get back there.
While the premise isn't new (in either Christmas or non season books and movies) Ms Mason put her own sweet twist in the tale that had me devouring the story. I couldn't help but get swept away with Charlotte and Matt and the folks of Christmas. You will have your fingers and toes crossed that a Christmas miracle will set things right.
And Charlotte finally standing up and taking no crap from nobody? You go girl!
I LOVED getting more of the Christmas locals, they had me laughing and smiling as I read.
Just the thing that I needed to get me into that Christmas spirit.

It stars two physicians: Dr. Charlotte Bailey and Dr. Matt “McSexy” Trainer. Even though Miracle at Christmas is number 7.5 in the series, it can be fully enjoyed as a stand alone if that is your preference. Regardless, you can expect to have your appetite whetted for more of Debbie’s wonderful holiday books.
After Charlotte caught her ex cheating on her in New York City, she’s banished to Christmas, Colorado tasked with turning the financials of the hospital there to black from red. I would definitely recommend this one to anyone who enjoys sweet holiday reads or who needs a boost to their Christmas spirit.

I have always enjoyed the author's romances. The small town charm and the down to earth characters always entertain me with their stories. So I was sure that this one was not going to be an exception.
I feel this novella is a power packed read because it has everything to make a super read. It has the small town feel along with well developed characters. Yes, though it is short, the characters are sufficiently fleshed out to do justice to their roles, especially the protagonists.
Charlotte is a strong heroine and she has to be, for going through all she has in her past and her present. By the end of the book, she is even better, standing up for herself. Matt is so enmeshed into the town he has adopted as his own that he feels like an extension of it. And that's why though I didn't meet many people from the town, they infused into each scene just with their vague presence in the background.
The story is fast enough with few twists which adds to the enjoyment of the tale. I enjoyed reading all about it. And yeah, I can't resist making it a 5 star rating because of the warmth and fun got from the story.

It is always nice to have a HEA at Christmas…Ms. Mason packed a lot of good things into this short little story. Her characters are strong, likable and easy to relate to. Her storyline is fast paced and easy to follow. She slips in some characters from some of her other stories making this story feel like you have come back home for a visit.
Charlotte is sent to close the hospital in Christmas…Instead she ends up meeting a sexy doctor by the name of Matt who not only changes her mind but also helps her and the townspeople work on trying to save the hospital.
This little novella has it all…Faith in Christmas, the Christmas spirit, small town magic…I think you get it…Oh! Did I mention a sexy Doctor…?
I really enjoyed all the complexity that Ms. Mason put into this story. I was captivated once again. It was also fun revisiting the eccentric bunch of characters that are in Christmas. Ms. Mason gave us a fresh look at an overused storyline.
I can’t give too much away without spoiling the story for you. So just pick up this little gem. You won’t be disappointed.

Second chance romance with a holiday theme...count me in!! I enjoyed this story about Charlotte and Matt trying to find love after being burned by people they have both loved and trusted. The story was set in a hospital which I also liked as well. The pacing and development of the started off really strong and I really liked where it was headed but I felt the ending was a little rushed. I wanted Charlotte to have a final showdown so to speak when it came to her cheating ex of a husband. I did like the message this story showed about having hope and faith and believing in miracles. Another fantastic addition to the Christmas, Colorado series. Debbie Mason comes through with her trademark sweet, small-town story-telling.
Thanks to her cheating ex and his shady mistress, Charlotte Bailey has been banished from New York and the hospital she’s dedicated to help run with her father and friends to the small town of Christmas, Colorado for the past year. She crushed on Dr. Matt Trainer for nearly the entire time but given the betrayal of her ex and her desire to return home at the first opportunity, she doesn’t follow-up on those feelings. That is until she and Matt find themselves fighting for the small hospital that is headed on the road to closure thanks to her ex.
This story was a quick, easy read while somehow managing to pack a whole lot of story and character developement into it at the same time. I’m a huge fan of everything that Ms. Mason writes, even when she manages to make my blood boil with some of her awful characters and their bad decisions. I loved coming back to Christmas for this short, sweet story and even seeing some of my favorite characters again. Whether you’re already a fan of this series or this is your first time, this book will hit all the right notes this holiday season.

Lovely Christmas Romance
A lot of Love happens in Christmas, Colorado. The characters were well fleshed out and and the romance was nicely paced, which is difficult to do in such a sort story. Miracle at Christmas is definitely a book to cuddle up with.

I am pleased to say that once again Debbie Mason and this new Christmas title “Miracle at Christmas” from the Christmas, Colorado series does not disappoint. I was swept away from the beginning and was engaged throughout the whole story. I enjoyed the novella – and that is no easy feat because historically – I am not a fan of novella’s! I find them without sufficient plot, nor character development. I am happy to report that in this case – this is NOT the case. There were many side stories that started and ended with sufficient depth, characterization and down right interesting story lines to keep this reader interested.
Dr. Charlotte Bailey has one goal – to get back to her life in New York City, which has been on hold since she went to Christmas, Colorado a year ago. Though it seems her ex Jeremy has other plans, unbeknownst to Charlotte. As is usually the case, things go awry and we have challenges that the protagonist must overcome. And indeed, Charlotte definitely had challenges to overcome. All while having to deal with the hunky Dr. Matt. Really, what’s an administrator to do…well…possibly fall in love? Yeah..standard format, but like I said, the extra story lines really kept the book moving and interesting.
I certainly held my breath at the accident scene. A wonderfully crafted segment. And even with an accident in hand, both Matt and Charlotte are thinking romantically:
“This time something more than admiration lit up his eyes. He didn’t just want to kiss her; he was going to. It would be the perfect ending for what was turning into a perfect day. Other than being involved in a fifteen-car pileup and smashing into his truck, she supposed.”
And definitely excited to see Nellie come out of retirement as a matchmaker (how else would Matt and Charlotte ever get together???). Nellie is definitely a character. And the announcement was made over Facebook ☺
At times Matt went all ‘macho’…a trait which can be quite sexy. In this particular scene – Matt overhears a conversation Charlotte is having with her ex – Jeremy) over the phone:
“Matt decided it might be better if he came back later. Before he gave in to the urge to take the phone and tell Charlotte’s ex what he’d do to him if he upset or threatened her again-and as a former special ops medic with the Rangers, Matt was well trained in not only healing a man but making him suffer-he left the two suitcases by the door.”
I loved how the book made reference to the author – very clever I must say.
“Well, the thing is, I’ve not only heard the stories, I’ve read them.” Kate held up a paperback: ‘The Trouble with Christmas’. “It says the author is Debbie Mason, but I think the town’s matriarch, Nell McBride, actually wrote it.”
All in all, a well crafted novella which this reader gives a definite “thumbs up”!!! I would provide more details, but I think this book is better consumed by the reader as opposed to reading what I thought any further.

Charlotte Bailey has been a blessing for the local hospital in the sleepy little Cororado town of Christmas, but now her boss is demanding for the hospital to close. Needing to find a miracle, Charlotte finds herself working alongside Dr. Matt Trainer to save the hospital before Christmas. Will a Christmas miracle happen for the small town of Christmas, or will Charlotte and Matt lose their chance at happy ever after?
I've read a few books of this series, and really enjoy being able to revisit the characters of Christmas, Colorado; and I've got to say that this story was an absolute delight to read. Really, the pages flew by because of the fantastic main and secondary characters; compelling dialogue that had me cheering for the heroine to find a way to keep the hospital open as well as get a second chance at love for the heroine with a man that she can trust unlike her ex-husband; and a fast-paced plot that had me liking everything the hero and heroine go through including the medical emergencies. Such as Charlotte needing every ounce of strength she has to protect a patient. Will she win the battle?
The way this story started had me sympathizing with the heroine, as her ex-husband is an absolute jerk that deserves her wrath, both for what he did in the past and what he's doing now that makes it seem like the heroine doesn't have much of a chance of coming out on top against him. However, in saying that, I liked that the heroine was resilient, brave and determined to find a way to keep the hospital open. I also liked that she didn't quit when the going got tough, especially since her ex-husband deserves everything that happens to him in the end after what he did to Charlotte. While the hero, he's kind, caring, a very good doctor and I loved how supportive he was of the heroine when it came to the choices Charlotte made when it came to going head-to-head with a very powerful and rich man in order to protect her patient. I also liked how he challenged the heroine when it came to a certain decision she made, because getting his way was good for the hospital.
Overall, Ms. Mason has delivered a really good read where the chemistry between this couple was fantastic; the matchmaking of the secondary characters had me hoping the heroine would make the right choice when it came to her future with Matt; and the ending had me smiling because of how things turn out for the hero and heroine. What a way for the heroine to surprise the hero and I loved Charlotte's nickname for Matt. I would recommend Miracle at Christmas by Debbie Mason, if you enjoy second chance romances, small town romances, the matchmaking trope, or books by authors Susan Mallery, Raeanne Thayne, Lori Wilde and Robyn Carr.

I’ve missed Christmas, Colorado – that happens when a series is enjoyable, engaging and has lots of believable, realistic characters. So I was very happy to be able to spend a few moments with old friends in this town where everyone not only knows your name but your business, and a brand new couple to add to the list.
Charlotte’s reaction when she caught her husband with his pants down – literally – at last year’s Christmas party might have been a smidge over the top, but such a wonderful surprise should be shared with everyone, right? Now she’s discovering just how much of a conniving monster he truly is He’s not only destroyed their marriage singlehandedly but he’s managed to oust her father from his own company… and become her boss, if she wants to keep her job that is. What was supposed to be one year away from her beloved New York City overseeing some intense cost cutting decisions at a small town hospital where she made no friends whatsoever, Charlotte is discovering that it’s now her job to go back and shut down that hospital. Her choices aren’t the greatest at the moment thanks to the ex and dear old dad. But this, even she had to cringe at this. If she closes down the hospital she’ll get back what she thought she desperately wanted – but at what cost to the people of Christmas, Colorado.
Miracle at Christmas is a bit of a second chance at love, and a whole lot of discovering who exactly you really are. It’s an excellent addition to the series and gives us one more delightful couple to hope for yearly updates about in the future (I never say never on any good long lasting series). I enjoyed Matt and Charlotte as a couple, certainly rocky at times, but they worked well together and I found them totally believable. It’s always fun to catch up with old friends, and Ms Mason gives us that chance in this Christmas season novella. If you’ve followed the Christmas, Colorado series then you’ll feel right at home, if not then this story will likely invite you to go look up the earlier stories in a really good series. I’d recommend this one for any reader who enjoys a solid story, a realistic couple and a really feels good story.

MIRACLE AT CHRISTMAS, a new novella by Debbie Mason, is a delightful addition to her Christmas, Colorado series. While the basic plot, big city girl is sent to small town to close an important local business right before the holidays, has been done many times before in Christmas books and movies, Ms. Mason has found a few new twists and turns to make it all seem fresh again.
The real strength in Ms. Mason’s story is in her characters. Charlotte Bailey is a strong woman who works for her family’s business. When everything starts coming apart around her due to her ex-husband, she becomes even more determined to save the family business and to do the right thing for those around her. Her love interest, Dr. Matt Trainor (AKA Dr. McSexy), loves the small town of Christmas and its residents. Matt works with Charlotte to save the hospital she has been ordered to close.
The town is all decked out for the Christmas season and there are plenty of cheerful townsfolk to add to the Christmas spirit. While most of the townsfolk have appeared in other books in the series, I didn’t feel that I had missed anything by not having read them all. This novella works well as a standalone read.

Charlotte Bailey caught her boyfriend cheating and though she feels he should be fired from his job somehow he is now running the healthcare company her father started. Now returning to New York with a plan she is hijacked with the man ousting her father, and the women he had the affair with both sitting at the table with other board members. She is told to go back to Christmas Colorado and close the hospital. When she explains that there is on other hospital in the area he says he does not care because they need to be making money for the larger hospitals. She is also told she must be back by Noon or she will no longer have a job. Rushing to return to Colorado Matt Trainer as doctor there is glad she is back but knows that something is wrong. When he finds out together they work to save the hospital. They do need a miracle, not just for the hospital. Their time working close together has sparked feelings and now he needs her to see what he already knows. Will they get all of the miracles? Read this very entertaining book. This was sweet. I loved how Matt bided his time and let the magic of Christmas work its way on Charlotte but also how caring he was.
Matt was a doctor who was burned by love in the past. He was a caring giving man and Charlotte was one he was attracted to. Matt is her employer and Charlotte is leaving as she lets everyone know. But something happens and now Charlotte is trying to save her and her dad’s job and the hospital itself. Matt supports her wholly and their attraction takes over as well in some of their moments.
So does the matchmaker of Christmas and when she comes out of retirement watch out. Matt and Charlotte work together to find a way to save the hospital and work on their relationship. they are equals and respect one another as well. We see how thoughtful and caring Charlotte is she just needs to realize that New York isn’t the only place she can be happy. And it does take some nudging for her to see this.
The story is sweet and adoring. It flies by and we get a romance and miracle happen at christmas while the mean ones get their just due as well.

In this book Charlotte Bailey is heading back to New York after her exile in Christmas Colorado. She was sent there to appease her ex-husband and his new wife who want to take the family business away from Charlotte. Charlotte is reduced in the end to cut the hospital and close it down which is the last thing she wants to do with the help of Ty and Matt and other people in town Charlotte is trying anything she can to keep the hospital running. Will she solve this issue in time? Or will there be no Christmas Miracle?
I enjoyed this series granted I haven't read any of the others but think I may have too. This book was a great insight into the town and people and dedication they have to their small town and each other. Add to that one sexy doctor and Charlotte definitely has her work cut out for her. The romance was great as well. Who doesn't enjoy a romance at Christmastime!

Another great novella for the Christmas, Colorado series. Less than 100 pages so it was a quick read.
Charlotte came to this town to work at the hospital. Now her boss wants her to close it and gives her an ultimatum. Dr. Matt Trainer along with all the staff does not want to lose their jobs and want to help her find a way to keep it open. The staff is mad at her and they don't realize the position she has been put in. Things heat up between these 2 but she wants to go back to NY, where she cane from and the job she was promised.
Charlotte's ex is a sleaze ball and he deserved to lose everything for what he did but Charlotte was the one who paid the price and now her father as well. Will the board that runs her family business see exactly what kind of a person her ex is. Can Charlotte and Matt make things work between them even if she moves back to NY?

Another great Christmas book by Debbie Mason. Dr. Charlotte Bailey was banished from NYC to Christmas, Co. to work at the hospital and turn it around. She spent most of her time there, instead of out in public, so the townspeople didn’t know her well. She just wanted to serve her time of 1 year and get back to New York. Then her sleazy ex ousted her father from his own board and threatened her job unless she closed the hospital at the new year. After a few miracles, help from a Santa look-alike, a domestic abuse case, and some papers that fell into the wrong hands, order is restored and Charlotte realizes Christmas is home.

For a novella, this short story offers quite a punch. Charlotte Bailey had fulfilled her obligation of living and working in Christmas, Colorado for one year and she was ready to go back to New York. Her father had promised her the CEO job at Bailey Healthcare when she returned but unfortunately Charlotte’s ex husband bought up enough shares to kick her father off the board and to keep her in Colorado. This is a heartwarming story of how a town helped keep Christmas Hospital open even when the ex wanted it closed and how they made sure Dr. Bailey and Dr. McSexy found each other just in time for Christmas.

Debbie Mason’s new Christmas novella, Miracle at Christmas, is the perfect escape from the crazy of the holiday season. It is the perfect length for a good cup of cocoa or a nice glass of wine. Charlotte and Matt are the perfect “didn’t see this coming” couple. While Nell’s hand is evident, it is subtle, in honor of her retirement. Fans of the series will devour this one. New readers will enjoy the escape and feel like long-time visitors.

Charlotte Bailey has been sent to the town of Christmas to close their local hospital. If she succeeds Charlotte and her father will be reinstated to the board of Bailey Industry but Charlotte is not only fighting her ex-husband who is currently chairman of the board and his new wife she is also fighting all the towns people who wish to keep the hospital open including a doctor known as Dr. McSexy.

For me a fan of this series this holiday novella hit the spot. It's a fast enjoyable read. We get to revisit previous characters from the series which I just love! The humor and the feels are in this one just as it was in previous books. The humor is what I look forward to. I can say that I want to bop Charlotte's ex. Nasty piece of work he is. I liked the holiday magic that was working in this one. It did result in a book hangover because I started late and I just couldn't put it down.
