but can i please be adopted into the Falcone family?? ... PLEASE?

okay nothing really happened here but also a lot of things happened?? it was just chaotic goodness and i was living for it.

in the first half, it's just pov of Nino and Kiara during twisted pride and then the last half is just them being a big family, Kiara and Nino trying to get pregnant, Adamo struggling from his torture, and drama with the Falcone bros' estranged, evil mother.

FALCONE BROS AND KIARA
˗ˏˋ Adamo, Savio & Kiara ˎˊ˗
ok gotta be honest, i liked Adamo and Kiara's relationship more in twisted emotions just cuz Adamo teaching Kiara how to play video games and being such a softie to her will forever stay in my heart but they were still very cute here tho!! i... think. hmm idk. but Kiara being a mother/older sister figure to both of them and baking them cookies and her banter with Savio??

and i awww'ed at least 198493 times. also, WE MUST PROTECT ADAMO AT ALL COSTS. i don't care what i need to do but my bb needs protection asap. i mean, he did some things that kinda, high key annoyed me but still. poor Adamo.

also me actually liking Savio?? for once?? wooow. who would've thought huh? certainly not this bishh. however, im currently reading his book right now and wtf SOMEONE GET ME OUT OF THIS MESS. I HATE IT HERE. help meeee.

im sorry but Savio in his own book is just a no for me and i just started reading. ugh it's ruining my mood.

˗ˏˋ Remo & Kiara ˎˊ˗
ok now these two are my favorite in this book i mean look at this
✧ 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐎
"You are strong in your own way, Kiara. And you are Falcone. The world's yours."

and then Kiara was all like
✧ 𝐊𝐈𝐀𝐑𝐀
"You are how I wish my brothers could have been. I don't care what people say about you, I love you like a brother."

and when im already drowning in cuteness Kiara hit us up with one more quote
✧ 𝐊𝐈𝐀𝐑𝐀
" I don't care if the world hates you, I'll defend you against all of them."

can we all appreciate the development of these two?? Kiara used to be so afraid of him and he lowkey kinda hated her (i think) but now they would die for each other ugh SO CUUUTE.

NINO aka THE ULTIMATE MAMA BEAR 🥺
i can't believe i'd find someone threatening to kill anyone who causes me pain so... attractive?? look at what he says guys:

"If someone ever tries to hurt you, I'll take them apart piece by piece, sinew by sinew, bone by bone."

i mean... if i happen to stumble upon a mafia man and they said this to me well-

*seduction mode on*

after reading this book, i really think Nino is the best husband out of all the Falcone bros? he was just so patient and kind and the ultimate softie towards Kiara. he's the ride or die kind of husband and i love it. also, he's so protective that he refused to tattoo Kiara because he doesn't want to cause her pain even if said tattoo was his name?? yeah. best husband award goes to this dude.

FALCONE KIDS (spoilers)
first of all, whenever i see a post on instagram or facebook about characters i've never heard of well i tend to go like this

description

it's confusing af. but now i know who the hell they're talking about!! Alessio? Massimo? Greta and Nevio? YESSS i know all of them now yaaayy!! i still don't know a lot tho... like who is Beatrice? Leonas? Aurora?? Marcella??? who are they?? please kindly let me know because my mind is a mess right now thank youu.

that epilogue scene where Savio was chasing Nevio because he "dattoo'ed" himself and his sister was so adorable and honestly, even though i don't like Savio right now since im reading his book, he's kind of the best uncle not gonna lie.

and Alessio? oh my god okay we all gotta protect that precious bean too. i'd go to war for that kid. no joke.

* * *

anyways, there's a lot of Adamo moments here and im kinda... uhh.. i feel weird reading about his "relationship" with CJ because.. well- he's 14/15 and she's like 28 years old soo... i know they live in their own mafia world and it's normal for them but i live in the normal world and that's kind of.. ⁱˡˡᵉᵍᵃˡ so im uncomfy.

i would say im excited to read Savio's book now but straight up? im really not. his book's rating is kind of scaring me and i just started reading and i already wanna dnf his book soo wish me luck guys!!

Okay, I read this book at the end of August, but it took me till now to finally force myself to write the review, which is something over three weeks.
For some reason I was having troubles voicing my opinion over this book, it was a fun read but... there are many buts.

So, I liked this book for numerous reasons. The Camorra series is the best from the author, at least for me. I so much enjoy the dynamics between the brothers, and now the girls are joining, which is so much fun. The previous books from this author seemed to be way too much focused on the couples and not much interaction outside that relationship. However, the relationships between all characters in the Camorra series is the highlight of it, and if you are not interested in the main couple, there is so much which will hold your interest.

I don't want to say that I do not like Nino and Kiara, they are a great couple and I love how much Kiara evolved. However, they are not my favourite and sometimes due to their quietness and bit of slow progress, I lose some of my interest. And this is where the other characters save the story for me because I live for the interactions between Remo, Savio and Kiara. So much fun. And since I'm already talking about this, I have to say that I cannot wait for more interactions between Savio and Serafina. And Savio with the twins is just the highlight of this book.

I'm not very happy with the fact that the book starts where Twisted Emotions ended, there is no time jump, and a huge part of this book is just Twisted Pride from Nino's or Kiara's POV. I'm generally not a fan of this, and I do not know why so many authors keep doing it. To me, it does not seem like new content.

For some reason, this book felt like a checklist. I do not know why or how, but not a single thing was surprising to me. All this may seem like a great drama for the book but... it felt scripted? Not the best way to describe it but what I'm trying to say that on some level I expected all the "huge" twists from this book.

Then in several scenes, I felt like some characters were suddenly speaking way differently than they did in the previous books. And it did not suit them.

A huge grievance I have with this book is the editing. I do not recall the previous books to be so badly edited as this one. I saw several typos; miswritten words; sentences which do not make sense because of a wrong word; and then even a name of one of the characters was miswritten several times. I have no idea what happened, but I sincerely hope that this was a one-time issue, and maybe the author was rushing to publish this book on time. I sincerely hope this will not become the norm for the upcoming books. This may seem like I disliked the book which one level I did, but on the other one, I could not stop reading the book and finished in a day or so.

It's fun, I laughed a lot, there were scenes I wanted to skip, but there were also scenes I wanted to last for way longer than they did... Unfortunately, those did not include scenes between the main couple. And, that is an issue.

This was supposed to be a Nino/Kiara book, and if I think about the reasons why I enjoyed this book, it is anything but them. I never felt like they would need another book, especially so soon after their first. I expected their story to evolve in the background of the books for the other brothers, then maybe all of them would get a book where they all would have a POV or something like that. Actually, if I were to guess which couple would get another book, it would be Remo and Serafina, if only because they went from kidnapping to being parents. They did not have much of a relationship for us to see their current "normal". So, that's why I would expect another book for them.

I'm going to leave my review here. I'm not very happy with it, and I will probably edit it in a few weeks. To sum up this review, this book would be a very, very week 3 stars for me.

First of all I would like to give a little shout out to my friend Crystal's Logical Review 😛
Here is the link⬇️

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Her review is my favourite review on this book 🤭 and my guilty pleasure 🤧🙈

Now that is out of the way
Don't judge okay? 😪
I read this book in End of Jan this year for the first time and here I am 3 months later 😂
I swear I just wanted read the highlighted quotes....but a girl have to go after her happiness aka after loml Nino Falcone 😝

Anyway the equation in this book is NUTS 🤣

i)Savio openly flirting with Kiara
ii)Adamo asking to sit beside her while she is playing piano (Checking out her backside 🧐)
iii)Fabi trying to make small talk
iv)Remo sharing food, talking about having kids, can you ignore the heated argument going on?

I think all the Falcone men have secrect crush on my baby Kiara...but can you blame them tho?
She is such a sweetheart

💣SavioXNinoXKiaraXRemoXAdamo = Twisted Bonds 💣

BUT KING NINO FOR THE WIN 🥳🥳🥳

Nino: "Trust me, Kiara, we’ve only just begun.”

In the meantime Kiara:“I love you exactly as you are. And maybe you are a monster, but you are my monster.”

Let me have my moment y'all 😭

I kid you not I will get diabetes from this book but no-one will see me complaining
I swear this one has THE best family moments both hilarious and heart touching

And Nino always pulling Kiara against his chest for hugs and kisses 🤧😭 SIR PLEASE I CAN'T RELATE

🌹Nino Falcone is mine and Kiara's that's it 🥺🌹

4 Smut Stars

I am giving this four stars just for Nino. I love him. And I love his and Kiara's journey over their own book and this one. This book actually felt like an extended epilogue of their book even though Remo and Serafina's book came in between the two and I enjoyed every second.

We also got a few more angles on Remo/Serafina's story from Kiara and Nino's perspective as this timeline overlapped their story here and there, although I do think Reilly could have really done more with that. In fact, I think that's what frustrates me sometimes about this author. The story and characters are always THERE. She does a great job building them and the world - and making you care about it all - but her endings just lack that flair. I always feel like she leaves so much potential on the table and it always leaves me feeling a little deflated when it doesn't happen.

But oh well. As I said I am rating this four stars (probably higher than I should, but whatever) solely because I adore Nino and Kiara and I enjoyed getting to spend more time with them.

3.5 stars

Kiara and Nino are the sweetest. This book was just about the characters living their domestic live and even if nothing was really happening for the majority of the book, I loved being in kiara and Nino’s journey. How kiara found a way to belong in the family was everything. Her character’s growth was so good to witness. Her and Remo’s relationship was one of the major highlights. Also, how even Savio behaved as a decent human being? I really loved their relationship as well. I love the Falcone family, and their family bond and dynamic is just so good.

Seeing Savio as the babysitter and how Nevio would keep on testing his sanity was so enjoyable to read about. Also, him calling Greta “doll-face” was the cutest thing ever.

#1 Twisted loyalties ~ 3.5 stars
#2 Twisted emotions ~ 4.25 stars
#3 Twisted pride ~ 4.5 stars
#4 Twisted bonds ~ 3.5 stars

Come on... Is there anything cuter than NinoKiara wanting to start a family of their own?

The answer is yes, if we get glimpses of RemoFina with their cute twins in the same book.

And with this, I've finished the Camorra series, because there is no way I'm reading neither Adamo nor Savio's books to get those characters ruined forever.

I have a confession to make. I SHIP REMO AND KIARA SO MUCH *cries on the floor*

And I'm being perfectly serious. There is something special, pure and perfect about Remo x Kiara. This book nearly ended me with the number of Remo x Kiara scenes. NEVER BEFORE has the author blessed us with so much Remo x Kiara. In all the previous books I've been nursing all the small crumbs of the pairing we manage to get. But in this book there were so many glorious moments to choose from. Literally I felt like I was being held at my heartstrings throughout this entire book. I'm so happy but also so damned frustrated that they are not a couple.

I was initially in denial but the truth is I've been shipping Remo x Kiara ever since the two of them danced during Kiara's wedding in book 2 Twisted Emotions. Kiara instinctively turned to Remo Falcone for help (and literally digs her fingernails into his skin). Remo helps her immediately without even asking even though he did not need to. <- Ever since this - I became a die hard Remo x Kiara shipper.

And the later scene where Kiara needs Remo and enters his domain and he pops up behind her and whispers in her ear absolutely did not help my shipping heart. Plus Remo is always encouraging Kiara to become stronger and stand up to him. He gives her so much advice, always reassures her that she is safe with him and encourages it when she voices her own opinions and fights back. She eventually does by the end of the book and even shoves Remo which made Remo happy & proud. AT THIS POINT CAN THEY GET ANY MORE WHOLESOME, PURE AND MEANT TO BE?

Kiara is really the only one besides Nino that understands Remo's emotions. She is always taking care of him and making sure he is ok. Seriously it's fucking adorable. And they are always sharing food! Kiara always finishes the half-eaten cookies and muffins that Remo had bitten into.

And they always do this silent communication thing. Like Kiara just needs to look at Remo and he knows what she is thinking. And she knows that Remo will understand what she meant just through the look. My heart is gone.

They have such a healthy relationship with so much emotional complexity, mutual support and growth. Remo helps Kiara become stronger and braver. Kiara helps Remo deal with his softer emotions and get a better grasp on his humanity. I just - do I need to say more about why this is the best ship of the century??

Remo also clearly has a soft spot for Kiara. When Kiara gets angry because of Serafina's kidnapping and wants to see her, Remo doesn't retaliate. He initially forbids her from going to see Serafina but then when Kiara stands in front of him and asks with her literal big brown eyes he just melts and agrees.

^And all these are just the moments from Twisted Emotions and Twisted Pride. I haven't even started on the moments between Kiara x Remo in Twisted Bonds yet and boy do we have plenty here! There are too many amazing moments and I'll list them here.

Awesome Remo x Kiara moments in Twisted Bonds:
1. Comforting each other when they are down & sharing their fears
Kiara comforts Remo on the terrace when he is brooding, alone. Kiara also confesses her desire to have kids and her worries about whether her kids would be accepted. A couple that actually talks about their deep fears and anxieties - how much more healthy can their dynamics get?

2. Fabiano noticing that Remo has a soft spot for Kiara
When Remo says he doesn't like sweet things and finishes only half a cookie, Kiara as usual eats the rest of the cookie for Remo. Fabiano sees Remo looking at Kiara and he laughs and says to Remo "I thought you didn't like sweet things" (referring to Kiara, not the cookie). Fabiano clearly SEES that Remo has a soft spot for Kiara and he teases Remo about it. I'm just going to say that it's a sign when even your friends are noticing it.

3. Remo comforting Kiara when she finds out she is not pregnant
Remo holds her ankle, sits on the floor with her and even suggests to be her sperm donor if Nino is the one who cannot conceive. I'M ARGH SO DEAD I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS SHIP.

HOW ARE THEY NOT TOGETHER? HOW? KILL ME NOW !!!!!

THEY NEED TO BE TOGETHER. It's a fucking tragedy that they will never be together. I REPEAT THEY NEED TO BE TOGETHER.

4. Remo sharing Kiara's whiskey/rum
Remo drinking Kiara's half-finished whiskey/rum from her cup when he was comforting her. It's a parallel from when Kiara always finishes eating Remo's half eaten cookies. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

5. Kiara telling Remo she cares about him
Kiara visiting Remo after he was tortured and showing him how worried and relieved he is back. Remo (who hates mushy situations) tries to deflect this and suggests she was only worried for Nino's sake. Kiara immediately disagrees - she tells Remo she cares for him for much more than that. She cares for who Remo is as a person and would have been devastated if he died.

6. Kiara fussing over the injured Remo
Kiara fussed and was worried about Remo when he was healing from the injuries. She knows Remo's favourite sandwich is Pastrami and makes it for him. Then also manages to convince Remo to lie down and he agrees to do so because he has a literal soft spot for Kiara.

7. Remo thinks Kiara would be a good mother
Remo at one point tells Nino that he knows that Kiara will be a good mother. This seems insignificant but it's actually massively significant because Remo has issues with women and doesn't trust any of them to be good mothers (except maybe Serafina). The fact that he thinks Kiara would be a good mom is extremely high praise coming from Remo.

8. Kiara telling Remo that she will protect him from the world
Kiara hugs Remo and tells him she doesn't care if the world hates him and she'll always protect him from the world. Remo then replying that he only cares about what people like her think and he couldn't care less about the world.

9. Remo making out to the sounds of Kiara having sex
Kiara finds out that Remo and Serafina made out after hearing Kiara having sex. Kiara was all embarrassed about it - and this is kinky shit.

10. Remo is the first person to know about Kiara's pregnancy
Ok technically Savio finds out first - but I'm not counting this because Savio was the bodyguard taking Kiara to the hospital, so naturally he would know. But the first person Kiara approaches to confide this news with is Remo. Remo literally finds out about Kiara's pregnancy before Nino does.

11. The way they look at each other
Kiara and Remo are always looking at each other. I repeat they are always watching each other and communicating via looks!

There's something undeniably special about the bond between Kiara and Remo. I don't know how to explain it. They just understand each other so well, and they are always pushing each other to become better people. It's seriously the healthiest thing I've ever read - they actually are so good together and both benefit from this relationship.

I also seriously swear that Kiara understands Remo better than Serafina ever could. If none of the above has made this obvious, I absolutely *do not* ship Remo with Serafina. Remo and Serafina are just so goddamn toxic together - they basically had a fling, had kids and now are together since they are responsible parents. They ended up together because of lust and the kids. Remo x Serafina doesn't even HOLD A CANDLE to the beautiful understanding, trust, respect, support that Remo and Kiara have together.

ARGH I'M SO ANGRY THAT REMO & KIARA WILL NEVER HAPPEN WHEN THEY ARE CLEARLY PERFECT TOGETHER.

Yes, I know that Remo and Kiara are the most loyal people in the world and a relationship between them will never happen because Nino.

And ok I will also l admit that Nino and Kiara are great together as well - very healthy. And for sure I absolutely *do not* want Kiara to come between the brothers in a love triangle nonsense.

However, there's a part of me that wished that they...shared Kiara? Sounds messed up but if you think about it - Nino and Remo are like a unit. They are like two halves of the same coin and two sides of the same moon. One cannot exist without the other and all that stuff. And they are so close that honestly it doesn't push the limits of my imagination that they may be ok about it. Seriously I actually want to see a three-way between Nino x Kiara x Remo. Kiara should be with BOTH Nino and Remo at the same time because she is great with both of them.

And also I know what people are going to say: didn't Kiara tell Remo she loved him like a brother in this book? Doesn't that make your ship invalid? No, no and no I say!

Think about it - Kiara was hugging Remo and telling him she loved him. If she was doing that, of course she HAD to say "as a brother". If she didn't say "as a brother" then that would be a betrayal of Nino. And obviously Remo and Kiara would rather die than betray Nino. But just because Remo and Kiara are dead loyal doesn't mean there isn't any deeply buried and unaddressed chemistry and sexual tension between the two. BECAUSE THERE IS.

And also if you compare Kiara x Remo with Kiara x Savio/Adamo/Fabiano you can clearly see the difference. Savio, Adamo and Fabiano are the ones who are like brothers to Kiara. With Remo it is so much more than that. Remo x Kiara have a connection between two humans and two souls. It's truly special.

The 4 stars I gave this book is purely for the amount of Remo x Kiara scenes we get here. Everything else was probably 2 or 3 stars.

The beginning was mostly recaps - and I didn't really enjoy the Nino x Kiara scenes here too much because it's mostly stuff we've already seen before. And all the scenes with Serafina were a meh for me. But I loved seeing Kiara's dynamics with the Falcones. Plus all the Adamo developments were great and solid as well.

I also loved seeing how the final chapter with their mother turned out. It was heartbreaking, horrifying and sweet in the end.

All in all - I will go down with the Kiara x Remo ship.

I've been hunting for Kiara x Remo fanfiction but sadly it doesn't seem to exist :'( If anyone finds any Kiara x Remo fics, please send me the links.

And please Cora...can you let Kiara and Remo end up together?

GAH!! I was so excited that we were receiving another book with Kiara and Nino and the rest of the Falcone brothers. Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely DIE for this author and her mafia kindle crack, but the Camorra Chronicles is on another level for me. I love the bond of their family and the utter devotion and love they all have for one another. For that reason I knew that this story would be incredible as Kiara would be able to heal and help provide a much needed balm to the wounds in her family while banishing her own demons and monsters of the past.

Without giving away any spoilers, this story was absolutely incredible! It was raw, gritty and so emotional. Kiara was strong and determined. Her journey wasn't an easy one but because of Nino's love and support and the protection of the Falcone family, she was able to help heal the hurts and demons that haunted the hearts of her loved ones. Overall, I absolutely loved this story and how Reilly was able to tie up so many loose ends while also intriguing us and drawing our interest in future storylines. I seriously can't wait for more! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

bless this author for giving us more nino+kaira!! also leave it to her to always blow our minds with brutal endings.

i honestly dont know what the purpose of this book is, but im glad that it's told in alternating perspective of nino and kiara. they're my favorite couple in this series. they've initially had their own book in the previous installment, twisted emotions (book 2). so this is i guess a sort of companion novel to ramo and serafina's book, twisted pride (book 3). basically the majority of the events in this book consist of the same key events in the third book, except they're seen through nino and kiara's pov. however, this book also has some major new additional scenes that will be important to know going into the next book. so it's best that you do not skip this.

notable emotional transformation arc
it was quite uplifting seeing kiara's healing journey after what she's experienced as well as seeing her struggle in coming to terms with her "ailment". i mean, to be a survivor and having to deal with the loss of "the ability" that is considerably valuable to a woman is not the kind of trauma that you get to recover from in a mere couple of days. it's not that her condition is unfixable or anything. but still, it's hard.

heartwarming family bonding moments
it was also nice seeing how the falcone family slowly bonded with each other. and ahh babies!! im always more happy when a book's got cute adorable little humans. also, savio's grown on me in this book. i like him more and more. i cant wait to read his book. and ugh all the shit with adamo was really annoying. but then again, he's only fifteen. he'd learn from his mistakes.

overall thoughts:

for the most part, i really enjoyed this book. there wasnt much going on in regards to the plot. 60% of it was a repetition of the previous book whilst the other 40% was some new added complications relating to adamo and the brothers' unresolved issues with their crazy ass mother. nonetheless, it didnt feel redundant to me bcs i liked being in kaira and nino's head. i also think this book gave a solid foundation for adamo's upcoming book. the pace, i would say, was steady. the steamy scenes were too many and a bit gratuitous for my liking at the beginning, but it was happening less and less as more complicated matters started to unravel. sometimes those scenes were hot, but other times they gave you the tongue in cheek effect bcs of nino's weird dirty talk. the writing wasnt the most mesmerizing, but it wasnt so bad that it disrupted my reading experience.

Imagine cooking, baking, swimming, eating pizza & sushi takeout every night.
*sigh* They're living the life. What I wouldn't do to be a Falcone.

4.5 ⭐️
Not a lot happened... but a lot did happen at the same time?? Wild.

I didn't think I'd like this book because Kiara and Nino from Twisted Emotions weren't my favorite couple, but this was pretty fucking good. Especially Nino and Kiara's struggle and showing that not everything is all sunshines-and-rainbows after their own book and HEA.

Loved loved loved:
⇾ the discussions about adoption & difficulties of conceiving ❤️
⇾ Adamo being the epitome of demisexuality (he's still an idiot lol and I'm afraid of starting his book tho)
⇾ Kiara and Remo's friendship/sibling relationship. we STAN.
⇾ Remo being a softie. What a man 🥵
⇾ seeing the family together again with all the babies. my poor heart can't take this.

Twisted Bonds is a (full-length) continuation of Nino and Kiara's story, which was told in Twisted Emotions. One of my remarks for that book was that I didn't feel that the story was complete and I wanted more development for the characters. So I was very happy that this book was focusing on that couple again. There was still a lot that I wanted for this couple, so I was really excited to see how everything would develop further for them. Twisted Bonds was a great addition to The Camorra Chronicles. I loved seeing how every character was doing and handling all the good and bad from the previous books. The family aspect was strong on the foreground and I enjoyed seeing how the brothers got through things from the past. I liked getting to know Adamo and Savio better in this book, and it really has me excited for their books. The relationship beween Nina and Kiara transformed in this book, and I especially loved seeing Kiara grow stronger.

"All of us have experienced horrors in our past but we'll create a beautiful future together."

Twisted Bonds was suspenseful, romantic, sexy, emotional, funny, and it pretty much had everything I enjoy in mafia romances. I am really happy that Cora decided to continue with Nino and Kiara's story. It finally feels complete. They go through a lot in this book but they never lose sight of what is important in life. I loved seeing the dynamics change between the brothers and I look forward to seeing what will happen next. I am satisfied with how everything worked out in this book. Nowadays I don't read a lot of mafia romances, but I will never pass up on a book written by Cora Reilly. I am dedicated and feel a connection to her characters, and always look forward to seeing how they are doing.

An entire book about Nino and Kiara's relationship with glimpses of the Falcones' family dynamics... and babies... this is what dreams are made of.

The Falcones brothers have always been a close-knit group due to circumstance, but there was something missing in them, and that was Kiara's love. There's not much mafia things happening here, but family related? a lot of growth. I loved seeing how Kiara, such a vulnerable and submissive character, had this impact on each of these brothers. They were all broken, but together they found a way to heal.

Kiara + Nino. It's beautiful how much this relationship has grown. At first they obviously got together out of duty and no one ever thought of giving a penny for this marriage, thinking that the Falcone family was going to eat Kiara alive, but actually it was the opposite, they, and especially Nino, gave her the push and the strength to trust herself and be respected.

And it wasn't just Nino and her brothers who had an impact on her with their tough love. It was also Kiara, with her sweet nature, who crossed beyond the walls that Nino had raised, easily earning a place in his heart.

Kiara, Remo, Savio and Adamo. She was always destined to be the mother figure that mansion needed. I loved how we went from seeing Kiara walk through the hallways of that mansion in eggshells, scared to even look at these guys, to Kiara taking care of them, joking with them, and also trusting them. I think she has a special relationship with each of them, but with Savio and Adamo it is more relaxed and almost friendly, while with Remo there is still little tension due to him being the Capo and deranged almost all the time, but likewise, she made a point of standing by herself in front of him, in addition to confirming that Remo sees her as one more member of the family, whatever happens.

The kids. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. The fact that that house went from strippers and eating pizza in underwear, to kids running around and family dinners will never stop being funny to me. Nino and Kiara's path to having their own family was not easy, but it was worth every second. I loved how open and ready the whole family was to accept that baby as one more Falcone, ready to protect him from everything, in the same way that they accepted Kiara in the beginning.

I felt like this wasn’t really a book about Kiara and Nino as it really centered on Adamo, and even a bit on Savio. It felt a little unnecessary and I would have rather gotten a book about Fabiano and Leona. There was also an extremely disgusting and graphic scene towards the end that made me want to vomit, but I also have a fear of blood.

Kiara really bloomed in this book, which is fitting as Twisted Emotions was really about Nino’s growth. I most liked the developing relationship between the wives of the Falcons brothers.

This book really made me hunger for Adamo’s book. I can’t wait!

Overall, I would suggest if you like this series, but keep in mind that this is definitely not a standalone.

I'm so freaking happy that Cora decided to write another book about Nino and Kiara, and I regret not reading it earlier! This book is so wholesome and it gave a perfect ending to both couples!

*:・゚✧*:・゚ Nino & Kiara *:・゚✧*:・゚

I adore them so much! I loved how they both grew, and their character development is amazing! Even though Kiara overcame her traumas in 'Twisted Emotions,' this book truly showed how she became stronger and accepted everyone as her family! The found family trope in this book is so heartwarming! 💕

❝You are how I wish my brothers could have been. I don’t care what people say about you, I love you like a brother.❞

Crying 🥺 I just love her bond with Remo. He's just so protective of her now! His behavior has changed towards her, and aahhh loved it! Things changed sm from what I mentioned here 💀

Nino had an awesome development too! He learned emotions, and he's so protective of Kiara. His love is so pure and raw for her 😭💕 He's madly obsessed with her and would do anything for her. Nino's literally a green flag ☺️

When they adopted Alessio, that did something to my heart! How Kiara hugged him and told him he'll be safe from now on, and Nino immediately went into protective papa mode 😭 That hospital scene is so amazing. Alessio deserves so much better, and I don't know, I want his book now. He's too young to remember, obviously, but still. Glad Kiara got Massimo too!

*:・゚✧*:・゚ Remo & Serafina *:・゚✧*:・゚

MOREEEEE SERAFINA AND REMO CONTENT = HAPPY ME.

I got so much satisfaction by reading that Remo suffered so much when Serafina left lmao 😭 He was so pissy and moody lol. Their scenes were so good, especially the ones after their marriage. I just love how protective Remo is of Serafina, and I really want their another book, even though we've got the second gen now but still.

Nevio and Greta are the cutest kids ever, ffs 😭 Their scenes were legit really cute, and the way Remo was taking care of them and Nevio drawing tattoos on Greta's arms 🥺✨💞✨

Savio — I won't be reading his book because 💀 well, the ratings and reviews.... BUT HE'S THE BEST UNCLE EVER. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH IN THIS BOOK. His dirty jokes or whatever, his bond with Serafina and Kiara is so precious now. He even slit his wrists for Kiara 😭

Adamo — he was the innocent boy 🥲 I didn't like how his innocence was ripped from him, but thank God he's now working on his addiction and getting better. Just love the bond between brothers.

THE FALCONE BROTHERS ARE SERIOUSLY SUPERIOR, AND THIS BROTHER BOND WILL FOREVER BE MY FAV! ✨

3 STARS!
"I love you exactly as you are. And maybe you are a monster, but you are my monster."
So, yeah, if you want my honest opinion, this book was PAINFULLY thin in the plot department. Events from the previous book were skimmed over and new events were superficial at best.

What it did have, however, were flashes of brilliance during which I got to spend time with beloved characters.
"Perfection," I rasped. "This is fucking perfection, Kiara, so don't linger in the past, not in mine, not in yours."
Kiara and Nino were as awkward and sweet together as ever.
Emotions cost a lot of energy - understanding them, dealing with them, not only just bearing them.
And the Falcone brothers were all still completely messed up in that charming serial killer way, lol.
"Nino loves you. I don't understand how it's possible. I thought the part of him capable of that shit was lost but you dug it up."
Kiara had a few good scenes with Savio and Adamo to build up the brothers' characters for the next books. This was a success actually because I'm really looking forward to Savio's book.

The crowning jewel of the whole book was when Savio So priceless!

My best advice is to read this book while it's part of the KU library. If I'd paid actual money for it, I wouldn't have found it so charming.

Twisted Bonds features the after HEA of Nino and Kiara, Remo and Serafina of their respective books. Before reading this book you must read Twisted Emotions and Twisted Pride or this book won't make sense and it has spoilers. I enjoyed the dynamics of the Camorra brothers relationship with the girls (Kiara and Serafina) and the kids. The book focuses on all the characters and is told from Nino and Kiara's perspective.

I found this book like tying the lose ends. There are many additional scenes, if you remember the evil mother, Adamo struggling from torture unable to fit with the Camorra brothers heads, Remo and Serafina's kids and Nino and Kiara's fertility issue. I enjoyed Remo, Savio and Adamo's interactions with Kiara. My most favourite part was Savio with the twins especially Nevio who is going to be mini Remo and how he shadows Savio all the time.

All the big family bonding makes it so nice to read. Adamo hasn't grown on me yet, he is a teenager and we have yet to discover what mentality this Camorra brother is going to be. Most of the complications is solved but few more are yet to unravel.

I don’t know how it’s possible to love Nino and Kiara even more....... but I guess after reading Twisted Bonds, I found out that it’s possible.
What I love about Twisted Bonds is that it doesn’t only focus on it’s central characters but also the secondary characters.
The scenes between the Falcone family was everything!
Absolutely cannot wait to read about Savio and Gemma.

UPDATE
Liked it much better upon a reread. I love the world Cora created, and I like how the Falcone developed from being a family of brothers by blood/choice to a one with lots of "little monsters" and women they love. So sweet

Original review
I was bored out of my mind reading this book. Probably that's because I don't enjoy reading about the events that already took place in other books. The continuation of Nino and Kiara's story lacks emotional intensity. Things keep happening but I didn't see any great character/plot development

Twisted Bonds is the continuation of Twisted Emotions, Nino and Kiara’s story. The books starts where Twisted Emotions ended and catches Twisted Pride events so I really advice people to read the previous books before starting this one.

I really really loved this book. I didn’t connect that fast with Kiara and Nino in Twisted Emotions (love the book) but it changed with Twisted Bonds. While I felt there was something missing in Twisted Emotions, this book filled those blank spaces. We get to see them evolving individually and as couple, and I absolutely fell in love with Nino. He changed since Twisted Emotions yet still feels the same Nino, still truthful to himself and it was nice to follow him in this journey of self discovery. I really liked Kiara, she finally came out of her shell and became someone confident, strong, outspoken and even thought I didn’t agree with some things, her sweet innocent nature is the perfect fit for Nino. They’re a very balanced couple and I loved how they stay strong and side by side, supporting each other, chasing away their fears together. Nino’s devotion to Kiara is so adorable specially coming from someone who repressed emotions.

But what I really loved about this book, was the secondary characters. They play a big role and standout so much in Twisted Bonds but the author was able to make them have a strong presence without overshadow Nino and Kiara.

There’s drama on this book but again, I loved it. I cried and my heart almost exploded with pain but I’m thankful the author didn’t drag the situation beyond necessary. I never knew I could care so much, feel so much for fictional characters until Twisted Bonds. But then, it just made them all strong, their bond is unique and if there’s something the drama and Twisted Bonds showed, is the real definition of family, love and loyalty.

Twisted Bonds was the book we all needed, it brings closure to Twisted Emotions. The book is filled with romance, family moments, action, struggles, anguish, Falcones humor. It also opens the door for future books for the other Falcone brothers but also other characters that I hope the author will explore one day.

If you felt Twisted Emotions was incomplete, if you love the Falcone brothers and want to get to know them better, if you want to see the family dynamics after the female characters became part of the family, this book will deliver everything you need.

RE-READ 3: At this point I read these books in the opposite order and still love everything, except for the cringey writing and whiny narrator. But that's beside the point because these books are truly my comfort books and Nino Falcone is my ultimate book husband.

#######################################
RE-READ 2: I forgot to add the dates for Re-Read 1, but I think I might be a teensy (okay, much more than that) bit obsessed with Nino and Kiara. I don't usually re-read books, and I definitely do not re-listen to audiobooks where I don't like the female narrator much. But guess what? I've heard the audiobook for this *thrice* now.

This book is still as good as the first two times. Do I think that this is the best piece of literature and my favourite book of all time? No. But am I still head over heels in love with Nino and Kiara? Absolutely! This book does have it's typical cringy CR moments, but I don't care. This book is so bingeable and lovable that I am able to ignore all of it's flaws. Nino is still my bae and Kiara is still my baby.

I haven't heard great things about Marcella and Maddox's book (not that I'm surprised), but CR better not fuck up the Camorra kids' books.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I enjoyed this one so much more than Twisted Emotions. I am in so in love with the Falcone family. The relationship they all share with each other was one of my favorite parts to read.

I loved seeing Kiara grow and become so much stronger in her own quiet and kind way. Her development was solid, but it did not change who she was as a person. I really appreciated that realistic approach. Also, I love her. Her quiet strength, kindness, love and protectiveness for her family won my heart. I am so glad she found the life she deserves. Also her relationship with the Falcone brothers, especially Remo and Savio were my absolute favorite parts.

Can we please just talk about how goddamn swoony Nino is? I am in love with this psychopath. Did I just swoon over an emotion-less killer who said that he would kill anyone who hurts the girl he loves? You bet your ass I did. This guy is just so considerate, respectful and thoughtful. I mean I thought I loved Remo more, but after reading this book there might be a tie between the brothers.

This book also made me tear up a few times and I enjoyed it so much.

Obsessed, that's the level I feel for Nino and Remo. Of all the books by this author that I have read they are definitely at the top. Their loyalty and love for their family and each other is so heartwarming but their bloodlust makes them even more delicious. Twisted Bonds starts with events from Twisted Pride and my favorite scene is still when Nino and Savio see the babies in the backseat, I just loved their reaction. As the story progresses Nino and Kiara are trying to have a baby of their own and she is heartbroken by it not happening. Adamo is struggling with his demons from his torture and where he fits in. I was so sad for him but the decision for him to go to Luca was definitely the right one. Savio and the twins were just adorable, and I was so happy that Nino and Kiara got the family they wanted.

Twisted Bonds is the 4th book in the Camorra Chronicles told in Nino & Kiara's perspective during Twisted Pride. I'm ecstatic to read this because those two are my second favorite couple in the series and they have a lot to explore in their relationship especially with Nino's feelings.

Now that the Falcone family is expanding, we get to see how these mafia men adapt to changes. Kiara is slowly opening up Nino about starting their own family. Not only that, we have an introduction to Savio and Adamo's story.

I only gave this three stars because nothing special happens. The book feels redundant and a filler to the series. I prefer it as a novella and just take the parts solely involving Nino and Kiara. Admittedly, it's a snoozefest. On the good side, it's a recall for me before reading Savio's book.

Three stars because if you read the series in one go, the events of the third book are the same as this one. That’s the reason it was kinda boring.

“What is it?” she whispered, as she ran the sponge along my abs. “I love you more than my life.”

“No. I enjoy seeing happiness on your face. It’s as if I’m feeling it myself.”

“I’m glad for my emotions when I look at you.”

Kiara and Nino will forever be my favorite Cory Reilly characters and the only couple who deserve a second book. I love them, their love is beautiful, and I’m so happy they got their own happy ending.

Wow, so many things happened in this book and I’m still trying to process everything. 😳 The first half was a retelling of the previous book, but in Nino and Kiara’s perspectives. tbh I thought I would get a bit bored cause it was a retelling but nah, I loved every moment of it! It’s interesting how things could be similar yet different just from a different point of view. The second half was completely new and everything that happened left me on the edge of my seat.

Let me start with talking about my boy, Adamo.

description

I love him so much and the things he went through, the things that still haunted his mind after his torture, broke my heart. I would honestly risk everything for Adamo, he deserves the whole world. I love how, although he’s a different person now, he still has the kindness in his heart. I’m curious to see how much he changed once his one year training with Luca is up (I haven’t read the series Luca was in so I don’t know exactly how tough he can be, I could just assume from the little pieces we get of him in this series). When I first started the series and realized Adamo will have his own book, I’ve always thought he would be the kind, loving type of hero and I don’t doubt he’s still going to be but, with all the events that changed him, he might also have a bit of Remo’s personality but toned down.

The whole event with the mom. 😳 It was thrilling yet terrifying to read about. I’ve always thought she was off ever since they visited the mental hospital but I didn’t realize it would come to this point and, to think, after all these years, she’s still a psycho. Damn. It’s kinda weird for me to find this beautiful but the scene when the four brothers were covered in blood, surrounding their mom who was stabbed by Adamo, and they finally put their nightmare to rest once they killed her. I loved how it was all of them together. ❤️

“Nino,” Remo rasped, kneeling beside their mother who was sprawled out on the ground in a pool of blood, Adamo’s knife still stuck in her belly. She was gasping for air. Adamo sat in her blood, chest heaving. Savio hunched next to him; he was pale. The hit to his head and the blood loss were taking their toll.

“Go,” I whispered to Nino. “Go to Remo.”

Nino released my hand and slowly made his way over to his brothers. They were all covered in blood, still losing it from the cuts on their wrists.

Fabiano staggered toward me, bleeding from a cut on his forehead that hadn’t been there before. “We need to get you out of those clothes and wash the gasoline off.”

I nodded but couldn’t take my eyes from the four brothers gathered around their mother. Remo curled his hand around the handle of the knife, then Nino closed his own fingers around it. Remo looked at Adamo who gave a shaky nod, then at Savio who tilted his head in agreement. And then Remo and Nino changed the angle of the knife and jabbed it the rest of the way in. Their mother jerked, then the tension left her body, and relief flooded me. I clutched Alessio closer to me, breathing out.

(like is it just me who could picture the scene clearly in my head??)

Onto Nino and Kiara. I loved how they got a continuation to their story! I was so invested in Remo and Serafina’s story from the previous book but, after reading about Nino and Kiara again, I think they might be a tie as my favorite couple in the series! One couple is intense and the other is soft and I can’t choose?? 😭🥺 but I adore how Kiara has grown so much since the second book. She’s starting to say what’s on her mind more and giving her opinions on things rather than keeping it to herself and I loved her development. Reading her moments with the brothers (including Fabiano) was really heartwarming. They were like a real family. Not to mention, it was lovely seeing her, Serafina and Leona have such a close bond. 💖

So many babies!! I’m aware that they’re gonna have their own spin-off series (I think in 2021?) and I’m so excited! I’ll definitely be looking forward to their stories. 🥰❤️
