Twisted Bonds (The Camorra Chronicles, #4)

An entire book about Nino and Kiara's relationship with glimpses of the Falcones' family dynamics... and babies... this is what dreams are made of.
The Falcones brothers have always been a close-knit group due to circumstance, but there was something missing in them, and that was Kiara's love. There's not much mafia things happening here, but family related? a lot of growth. I loved seeing how Kiara, such a vulnerable and submissive character, had this impact on each of these brothers. They were all broken, but together they found a way to heal.
Kiara + Nino. It's beautiful how much this relationship has grown. At first they obviously got together out of duty and no one ever thought of giving a penny for this marriage, thinking that the Falcone family was going to eat Kiara alive, but actually it was the opposite, they, and especially Nino, gave her the push and the strength to trust herself and be respected.
And it wasn't just Nino and her brothers who had an impact on her with their tough love. It was also Kiara, with her sweet nature, who crossed beyond the walls that Nino had raised, easily earning a place in his heart.
Kiara, Remo, Savio and Adamo. She was always destined to be the mother figure that mansion needed. I loved how we went from seeing Kiara walk through the hallways of that mansion in eggshells, scared to even look at these guys, to Kiara taking care of them, joking with them, and also trusting them. I think she has a special relationship with each of them, but with Savio and Adamo it is more relaxed and almost friendly, while with Remo there is still little tension due to him being the Capo and deranged almost all the time, but likewise, she made a point of standing by herself in front of him, in addition to confirming that Remo sees her as one more member of the family, whatever happens.
The kids. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. The fact that that house went from strippers and eating pizza in underwear, to kids running around and family dinners will never stop being funny to me. Nino and Kiara's path to having their own family was not easy, but it was worth every second. I loved how open and ready the whole family was to accept that baby as one more Falcone, ready to protect him from everything, in the same way that they accepted Kiara in the beginning.
