Parker Riggs’ love of writing began as a teenager growing up in New Jersey penning short stories and poetry. Her dream to be a published author got set aside for a career in Washington, D.C. where, for two decades, she supported politicians and lawyers. Yet the dream never died. Pursuing her passion for mysteries, Parker is the author of the mystery novel Finding Jessica, and co-author of A Treacherous Trader, A Devious Lot, A Killer Keepsake, A Bidder End, and A Fatal Faberge (all with New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Ellery Adams). Parker lives in New Hampshire with her husband and an adorable mini-dachshund named Clarice.

Thanks for your question. I'm so glad you loved A Treacherous Trader, it was a lot of fun to write. As to how it came about, Ellery's agent had read my book Finding Jessica and asked me if I would be interested in coauthoring Book #4 in Ellery's Collectible Mystery Series. I was so honored and appreciative to be given the opportunity, and delighted when they asked if I'd also like to write Book #5! I just recently signed that contract, so stayed tuned for another Molly adventure! (less)

It’s one of the best books out there on the craft of writing. But after I finished the first draft of the book, I knew it still needed a lot of work. I hired a development editor, and for two years, we worked on tightening the plot, developing the characters, and so much more. It was an experience equivalent to taking an in-depth course in creative writing and it was invaluable to me as a new writer. Taking the time to do things right is how I got noticed by New York Times bestselling author Ellery Adams' agent. I was honored when asked if I'd like to write A Treacherous Trader, the fourth book in Ellery's Antiques and Collectibles Mystery series. Since that time, Mainly Murder Press published Finding Jessica, and I've written A Devious Lot, Book #5 in the collectibles series. I'm currently writing Book #6. It's been a wonderful experience, I'm still learning a lot, but I'm also living proof that with hard work and determination, dreams really can come true. (less)
