SJ Molloy, British Author of ‘The Luminara Series’ was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. She currently resides in Scotland with her husband, two daughters, and loving gun dog who is utterly spoiled. Along with writing and publishing romance fiction, SJ is completing her MLitt Creative Writing, Crime Writing and Forensic Investigation postgrad at Dundee University, Scotland.

I don't have a date yet, but I'm hoping for May sometime.

I'm just back from a writing conference this weekend, and I'm catching up on admin tasks now. There are two more books to conclude the series.

I wanted to give you an update on where I am with book 5. This book has taken me longer to write than the others because I had spinal surgery last year and had quite a bit of time off. It's another well-developed book, and I've had to do lots of research for it, so it has been timely and challenging to write because of the subject matters involved in it. But, I think this makes for great writing when a writer is feeling every emotion and is fully invested in the story. I know it makes me want to write more believable and realistic chapters.

This book is called Luce Eterna which translates as Eternal Light. As it's profound and there is a lot of story in the conclusion, I have decided to split it into two books. It will now be:

Book 5: Luce Eterna Part One
Book 6: Luce Eterna Part Two.

Even though it is split over two books, they will both be full length and of similar word count to the others to keep consistency. The plan is for them to be released within quick succession of each other (three or four weeks part).

I'm almost 3/4 of the way through book 6, (the second part of the story) but they will be sent to editing together at the same time in the event my editing team decide to merge them together or move or change sections.

I haven't released a pre-order date yet (release) date as I wanted to ensure it was exactly how I wanted the conclusion to go, and it was polished off properly. I could've cut it shorter and rushed through it, but I thought that would be an injustice to Lucca, Lexi, the cast of characters, and to their story. I've put lots of thought into the series and I want to ensure, I end Lucca and Lexi's story with more thought-provoking emotions and in a careful way but still making it compelling.

I have added more twists and turns, and suspense. I've also set up spin off story lines throughout the plot for some of the other main characters. I plan to write a full length novel from Jackson's point of view, and also one from Cameron's and possibly Marco's points of view as well. In these books, if I can pull it off, it will move the entire story forward, tell you what happens with the rest of the characters and Lucca and Lexi would still feature in them.

Depending on my schedule, I'd also like to write the prequel to the entire story which would be from Grace's point of view. This would be more dark and harrowing as it would be based on her abduction and ultimately, the Stockholm Syndrome.

All I can say is that there is a shock and a very sensitive subject topic covered in Luce Eterna which will pull every emotion possible from my readers (if I haven't already achieved that). With that said, I do aim to give these characters a HEA and I hope I handle the darker topics with as much dignity and consideration as possible.

Originally I estimated that the conclusion - Luce Eterna (Part 1 & 2) would be ready before Xmas, fully edited, proofread and formatted. However, I'm back at university full time in another city doing my postgrad research in Mlitt Crime Writing, Forensic Investigation and Creative Writing. As well as writing Luce Eterna Part 2 (book 6) I've also been working to deadlines for uni assignments. This has added extra time onto my schedule which wasn't originally accounted for. I'll be working on the edits when the end of semester uni assignments are all submitted. Once I have a clear indication of dates, I'll let everyone know of the release date, pre-order date and date you can receive the Arc if you sign up to read and review.
