“Cain and Abel were not brothers, not twins. They were...two sides of the same person, good and evil warring against its own inclinations. The same struggle was borne out in every person, over and over, from the very most beginning of time, and you could only answer for yourself which brother would win.”

Shirleynature Dear Afia,
I am honored to have this friend connection with you! And I'm very excited to encourage others to read your new book!

If you don't mind, I have a question:
What is the symbolism of the foxes in the story?
I love the foxes for their rich connection to the natural world and mystery.

Thanks for putting so much magical realism and heart into this book!
Best wishes!
Shirley
