Joe Posnanski is a No. 1 New York Times bestselling author of eight books, a Writer at Large at Esquire, and the co-host of The PosCast with Michael Schur. He writes a newsletter called JoeBlogs. He has been named national sportswriter of the year by five different organizations including the Associated Press Sports Editors and the National Sports Media Association. He also won two sports Emmys as part of NBC's digital Olympic coverage.

His newest book is Why We Love Baseball, which will be published by Dutton on Sept. 5, 2023. His last book, The Baseball 100, won the Casey Award as the best baseball book of 2020.

Hi, Joe. I loved "The Soul of Baseball." Beautiful story and terrific writing. Given the title of your new book, I'm wondering if "The Secret of Golf" will make me a better golfer? (I'm serious!)

In all seriousness, there are some really good tips in here from Watson and Nicklaus. They're more mental approach tips, things I think about now all the time. I don't know if they will make you a better golfer, no guarantees, but I will say: It couldn't hurt.(less)

Thanks for the question Justin. I'll never write a book that means more to me than Soul, of course. Spending all that time traveling around the country with my friends Buck O'Neil and Bob Kendrick, I mean, it can't possibly get better than that.
