Mahmoud Reza Eftekharzadeh (in Persian :محمودرضا افتخارزاده ) (born 20 October 1954, in Birjand, South Khorasan Province)[1] is an Iranian writer, researcher and translator.

He has nearly 100 books, essays and articles about Iranology, Islamology & Iranian Mysticism. Some of them are textbooks. A lot of the works are translated from Arabic. He is a researcher in the history of ancient Persia & Iran after Islam. His important research in this area includes: Iran; Religion & Culture, Islam & Iran; Religion & Nationality and Shoubiyyeh; The National Movement Resistance of Iran. He has more than 40 articles and critical studies about cultural, historical & civilizational background of Iran.[2] He is also an Islamologist and reader in the history Mahmoud Reza Eftekharzadeh (in Persian :محمودرضا افتخارزاده ) (born 20 October 1954, in Birjand, South Khorasan Province)[1] is an Iranian writer, researcher and translator.

He believes that for Iranians, Islam cannot be segregated from Iranian culture and with the particular complexion it has, it is distinctly distinguishable from typical Arab way of life as is in vogue in Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E, Egypt, Syria and even the contiguous Iraq, hence his strong emphasis on Iranian Islam. In 1992 he wrote his Ph.D. (Doctor of philosophy in Islamic Shiite Studies) dissertation on: "Dissimulation in Imamite shiite from the first to the end of fifth century." At the same time he was accepted for (M.phil/ph.D) Degree in University of Manchester. He has translated original texts of Iranian Islamic mysticism such as: Al mavqef va Al mokhatabat (The legacy of The fourth century. by Al Neffari. 354 AD), Manarat al Saerin by Najm al Din al Razi (Iranian Sufi 654 AD), Al Reayeh le Hoquqellah by Hareth al Mahasebi (243 AD) and Tartib al Soluk by Abulqasem al Qoshayri (450AD).

محمودرضا افتخارزاده(من موالید:20 تشرین الاول 1954م)الکاتب و الباحث و المترجم الایرانی. له اکثر من 200 کتابا ومقاله و رساله، طوال اربعین سنه، تتوزع بین التالیف و التحقیق و الترجمه عن اللغه العربیه و اللغات الاجنبیه(المنشوره و غیر المنشوره)حول الاسلام و الایران ،اشهر کتبه فی ذالک:1-ایران ؛الدیانه و الثقافه.2-الاسلام والایران ؛العقیده و الوطنیه الایرانیه.3-الشعوبیه؛ النهضه المقاومه الوطنیه الایرانیه(عنوان طبعتها الاولی)4-الشعوبیه؛القومیه الایرانیه(عنوان طبعتها الثانیه).حصل علی شهاده الدکتوراه فی الدراسات الاسلامیه الشیعیه العلیا وکانت عنوان اطروحته فی تلک:«التقیه عند الامامیه ؛فی کیانها العقائدی و اساسها السیاسی ودورها التاریخی من البدایه حتی نهایه القرن الخامس الهجری».باللغتین العربیه و الانجلیزیه.کما حصل علی درجهM.Phil/p.hD فی جامعه منجستر، و اکثر نشاطه الادبی کانت ترجمه کتب و رسائل عن العربیه و اللغات الاجنبیه الی اللغه الفارسیه
