About this ebook

A View to a Soul is a collection of poetry written over the last thirty years at different times in my life. Most of my words you will find are real-life experiences and real-life events that have happened to me or someone that has come into my life.

I have been blessed by each person that has come into my life, and that person has affected my life in some way, and I hope that you find that how I portrayed events are only how I found them to bewhether it be love, hate, joy, sorrow, or just an event, it is how I felt.

Darcy Bowers

Darcy was born in New Westminster, BC, January 3, 1963. At two years old, Darcy was in a car accident with his family on Christmas Day and thrown through the windshield. His father passed away when Darcy was sixteen years old, but his stepfather has been a huge part of who he is as a man today. Darcy began writing poetry as a young man in his teens when dreaming of being an NHL star like most boys his age. For people that know Darcy, you can see everything he was going through and at what time in his life by reading his poetry. His words are heartfelt and are usually coinciding with something that is going on in his life. Darcy lives in Vernon, BC, with his wife; they have two boys each from previous marriages and will be greeting their fifth grandchild this March. In his spare time, Darcy loves to watch movies, read, and spend time with their dog and cat. Darcy loves to know everything about a movie and is a trivial pursuit pro when it comes to movies, producers, and actors. Family is very important to him, and you can see that in his words.
