In 2008, when I got the news that I was going to be migrating to the USA to start a new life, I felt a fervent feeling flowing through my body, a feeling of accomplishment, a feeling of, “Yes, I’m finally getting into, but just the little that my dad had told me, and what I had seen on the television. I’m not going to lie, when I arrived in 2008, it was very different from what I had seen all my life on TV. It was more challenging. But I wasn’t afraid to move forward, and do whatever I had to do to make it in America, although I did arrived when the biggest economic crisis since the Great Depression was taking place. I think coming to America at that particular time, has made me work harder and become more passionate to be successful than I was previously. There were a lot of ups and downs, disappointments, failures, broken hearts, laughs and tears. But I’m still grateful that America is still land of opportunities.view less
