Hello all, Delia here with my very first post with Altair Art and may I just say how delighted I am to be a part of this design team. Most exciting indeed.
So, I live in Australia on an 8000 acre cattle and farming property, having recently moved from the city, it has been a mighty eye opening experience. I have finally got a rather awesome craft area happening - it is very much a work in progress, but it is currently enough that I can get creating. A much needed activity after packing up and moving. Life is super awesome and I absolutely love it, so when this wonderful package of AltairArt papers turned up, life just got that little bit more enjoyable!
To the craft room I went and oooohed and aaaahed appropriately over the beautiful array scattered across my desk, so many little elements to play with and enjoy. I was immediately drawn to the Ever Dream paper range and picked out the EverDream02 paper, as I think that is most certainly my most favourite design in the Ever Dream pack. Out came the clear gesso to get it ready for being created upon. One thing I really like is the thickness of the paper, I didn't have to put another piece of card on it for support, which is something I always tend to do just to give the layout a bit more rigidity.
The blue, green and purple colouring is truly beautiful in this main paper I chose to use. I grabbed a Kaisercraft butterfly stencil from a recent range and used some white modelling paste and randomly applied it over the paper. I then picked up a few complementary colours in the Lindy's Magicals range and let loose with those! I accidentally used orange in the mix, but it all worked out in the end! Below you can see the before and after with the Magicals. They are so much fun to use.

I got my photo panel and used various papers in the range to create my photo matt, giving them an ink around the edge to give them some depth when put up against the main page and all of my intended elements. Various elements are applied, mostly flowers of course. I fussy cut a few elements out of the extra elements in the pack and used them in various spots around the page, mixed in with the flowers. I had a bit of fun with the ribbon work when attaching the long tag, which always makes for such prettiness.
I have these gorgeous wooden dreamcatchers that I applied Viva Ink Gold Wax Pastes too. Again, using the blue, purple, green and pink colouring, I then randomly applied 3-D glue, just to give it some shine and dimension. It all has come together rather beautifully, it is a lovely, cheery layout and I hope you like it too.
Well, I am off to play with the rest of the papers, so much to do and play with. I hope you get to be creative this week too, enjoy your time, be kind to each other and I will be back soon. Too see more of my work, go to www.jacobicreations.com
