College student-athletes have unique life stress that warrants close attention. The purpose of this study was to develop a reliable and valid measurement assessing college student-athletes’ life stress. In Study 1, a focus group discussion and Delphi method produced a questionnaire draft, termed the College Student-Athletes’ Life Stress Scale. In Study 2 and Study 3, the properties of the items and the underlying structure of the College Student-Athletes’ Life Stress Scale were confirmed through item analysis, factor analysis, and reliability examination. A 24-item College Student-Athletes’ Life Stress Scale with eight factors was established. In addition, examining concurrent and discriminant validity via correlations among College Student-Athletes’ Life Stress Scale, positive state of mind, and burnout experiences provided further evidences of criterion validity. A cross these phases, results showed adequatefactorialstructure,criterionvalidity,andreliabilityoftheCollegeStudent-Athletes’ Life Stress Scale. The investigators suggest that College Student-Athletes’ Life Stress Scale could be used as a tool for researchers and practitioners to assess college student-athletes’ life stress.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui minat masyarakat terhadap olahraga di wilayah Marunda Baru Jakarta Utara. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan instrumen angket tertutup dengan skala likert. Populasinya 2900 warga Marunda Baru. Sampel uji coba 50 orang. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 31 orang dengan teknik insidental sampling. Uji validitas dengan product moment pearson dari 32 pernyataan, yang tidak valid 10 pernyataan karena t hitung < r tabel (0.297), uji reliabilitas dengan cronbach’s alpha sebesar 0.693 artinya reliabilitasnya tinggi. Uji normalitas menggunakan kolmogorov-smirnov dengan hasil 0.116 > 0.05 yang berarti normal, uji homogenitas melalui test of homogeneity of variance dengan p.value  > sig. (0.888 > 0.354) yang berarti homogen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat masyarakat terhadap olahraga di Wilayah Marunda Baru Jakarta Utara berada pada kategori tinggi sebesar 51.6% (16 orang),  kategori sedang sebesar 35.5% (11 orang), dan kategori rendah sebesar 12,9% (4 orang).  Selanjutnya, minat masyarakat terhadap olahraga di Wilayah Marunda Baru Jakarta Utara didasari pada faktor internal berada pada kategori tinggi sebesar 71.0% (22 orang), sisanya 9.7% (3 orang) sedang, dan 19.4% (6 orang) rendah. Sedangkan miinat masyarakat terhadap olahraga dipengaruhi oleh faktor eksternal tergolong tinggi pula yakni sebesar 51.6% (16 orang), sisanya 35.5% (11 orang) sedang, dan 12.9% (4 orang) rendah.

Goal celebration in sport is mostly spontaneous and is manifested via vocal expressions and bodily gestures aimed at communicating emotions. The aim of this study is to decon-struct the celebratory acts among elite professional football players in the European Champions League following scoring a goal, and to capture the multiple acts and functions of the celebrations. In examining the 2018/19 season of the European Champions League tournament , we draw attention to the players' celebrations and their corresponding social and individual functions. All goals/celebrations (K = 366) were used for the analyses. To analyze the goal celebration acts, a socio-psychological model was established which is comprised of several theories. To describe the goal celebration acts across the competition stages (e.g., preliminary and final), match location (i.e., home or away), time phase (0-15, 15-45, 45-75, 75-90, 90+ minutes), scoring mode (i.e., prior to the goal, after the goal), and players' continent origin (Europe, Africa, Asia, South/Central, and North America), the number and percent of all the celebratory acts were counted and presented in their respective mode (i.e., single, double, and team). The main findings indicate that (a) most of the goal celebration acts were performed interactively by the scoring player and his teammates, (b) the interactive modes of celebration lasted longer than the modes which were performed non-interactively , (c) the celebration lasted longer following goal scoring in the final stage than in the preliminary stage, (d) the celebration duration lasted the longest time when the goal was scored during the overtime phase (90+ min) of the final but not the preliminary stage, and (e) players from Africa and South America demonstrated religious acts more than their Euro-pean counterparts. We assert that our conceptual model enables the categorization of a variety of personal and social meanings to the celebrations on the field during the most thrilling moments of the game.

Forest recreation concentrates on the research of the forestall influence as a recreational destination. The purpose of the present study was to shed light on the perceptions-expectations, social influence and control beliefs related to exercising in the forest. Semi-structured individual interviews were realized according to the instructions and the Theory of Planned Behavior including the collection of demographic evidence and open questions. 29 adults took part in the interviews involved in the physical activity for recreational purposes. Each interview was analyzed according to the topic separately. The participants recognized many advantages and benefits from their participation in recreational exercising like good health, fitness and invigoration in nature. The social environment of the trainees was encouraging as for their participation in the forest. The existence of infrastructure as well as the preservation of the place seems to be the perceived factors which ease participation in forest recreation. On the contrary, lack of cleanliness or preservation as well the imposition of ticket payment is considered to be deterrent factors for entrance in the forest. Lack of time because of work and family responsibilities are perceived hurdles for non-participation in forest recreation. The present survey supports that any kind of participation in forest activities is associated with multiple benefits for an individual and the community as a whole.
