Purpose: The objective of the research study is to investigate whether there is a positive impact of the use of social media on undergraduate students' academic performances and their social interpersonal skills in the Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University. Design/methodology/approach: 64 samples were collected from full-time undergraduate students studying in Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University from different colleges including Community college, College of Business Administration, College of Education, College of Engineering and College of Pharmacy. The descriptive statistics analysis was used to analyze the demographic data while inferential statistics were used in testing the research hypotheses. The results obtained from the analyses were used to interpret the outcomes.
Findings: The empirical results reveal that the students enjoy meeting new friends online using social media rather than meeting in person and for this reason they spend a lot of time-addicted. It is also confirmed that the bad comments are passed easily through social media affecting other's sentiments and most of them strongly believe that all the information in social media is true and reliable and the rumors were spread easily in social media. Further, it is also confirmed that social media does not support the Learning of the students.
Practical Implications: The study confirms that the students exchange learning materials through social media and it helps them to update the developments in their college/university. The students believe that through Social media they have improved their communication skills and they can communicate with anyone at any time. It is also found that some of their teachers communicate with them and encourage them to use social media but for studying only.
Originality/value: The research work is of its first kind as it focuses on the impact of social media on the academic performances of the students studying in Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, which has suggested effective means for effective implementation of social media strategy.

Innovation in information and communication technology has a great potential to create large impact on modern healthcare. However, for the new technologies to be adopted, the innovations have to be meaningful and timely, taking into account user needs and addressing societal and ethical concerns. In this paper, we focus on ICT innovations related to home healthcare domain, in which patient safety and security, but also trust and privacy are of utmost im-portance. To ensure the adoption of new healthcare services, the new innovative technologies need to be complemented with new methods that can help patients to establish trust in healthcare service providers in terms of privacy, reliability, integrity of the data chain and techniques that help service providers to assess the reliability of information and data contributed by patients. This paper sketches various lines of research for the development of trusted healthcare ser-vices namely, patient compliance, reliability of information in healthcare, and user-friendly access control.

crucial for the acceptance of these new services. This work
presents a semi-automated system to evaluate the quality
of medical measurements taken by patients. The system relies
on data qualifiers to evaluate various quality aspects
of measurements. The overall quality of measurements is
determined on the basis of these qualifiers enhanced with
a troubleshooting mechanism. Namely, the troubleshooting

of the root causes of low quality values."

The article presents information reliability criteria to identify misinformation and its representations (fake news, post truth, alternative facts and deepfake) in the current scenario, characterized by the digital environment. It also contextualizes the concepts of critical reading and critical thinking, essential in the conceptual formulation of informational reliability. From there, the paper elaborates its criteria in order to verify the reliability of information disseminated in the web. For this purpose, it uses the criteria to evaluate information sources developed by Tomaél, Alcará and Silva (2008), the critical analysis of arguments by Carraher (1983), and Floridi’s (2011, 2010) concept of informativeness and also his informational concept map. The article concludes that these criteria help to combat misinformation, and stimulate critical reading and thinking processes in the individual, even though they are not a final solution for this purpose.
