前に述べたように、LGBTに関する意識は日本にはあまりない。LGBTコミュニティは増えているが、意見や声があまり聞こえない。当事者はステレオタイプのため、自分自身のことを黙っている。それにしても、メディアの影響は大きい(きんぱちー先生;オタクの世界)ため、意識が広まっている。
日本のほうがフィリピンより法律的に厳しくないが、社会的にオープンではない。
