The paper proposes a new decentralized access control scheme for secure data storage in clouds that supports anonymous authentication. In the proposed scheme, the cloud verifies the authenticity of the series without knowing the user's identity before storing data. Our scheme also has the added feature of access control in which only valid users are able to decrypt the stored information. The scheme prevents replay attacks and supports creation, modification, and reading data stored in the cloud. We also address user revocation. Moreover, our authentication and access control scheme are decentralized and robust, unlike other access control schemes designed for clouds which are centralized. The communication, computation, and storage overheads are comparable to centralized approaches.

Copper is a naturally occurring trace element present in all environmental media, including soil, sediment, air and water. It is an essential micronutrient critical for cell function, playing a vital role in processes. Copper contamination to agricultural soils is of great concern due to its wide and continuous use in agriculture and horticulture as fertilizers and fungicide. Copper contaminated soil is mainly attributed to agriculture activities such as continuous application of copper-based fungicides and pesticides application. A minireview was carried out using peer-reviewed articles published from 2000 to 2017, which methods of remediating copper soil. The AGORA and Google Scholar databases were used to conduct the search for articles using the terms copper and phytoremediation, Copper and Biological remediation, Copper and soil washing OR physical methods. Following these searches, 19 journal articles out of a total of 191 articles satisfied criteria for inclusion and were used in the final systematic review. The study showed that remediation technology for copper contaminated soil is divided into physical, chemical and biological categories. Physical methods are laborious and costly but can be applied to highly contaminated site; chemical methods have high efficiency and effective to remove the copper, but mostly popularized in a large scale; bioremediation methods including phytoremediation and microbial remediation are appropriate for large areas of soil contaminated by low concentrations of copper. The bioremediation methods are economical, eco-friendly but time consuming.

Fertilizers are any organic or inorganic natural or synthetic materials [other than liming materials], which is applied to a soil to provide one or more plant nutrients necessary for plant growth. One of the most extreme conditions that have a detrimental impact on the climate is sandy soil. The use of different organic amendments is a tool for developing sustainable development that is both economically and environmentally viable. The aim of this study is to see how milk tea waste extract, banana peel extract and coconut peat extract affect the growth of coriander and spinach plants when applied as a foliar spray. Different pots for various organic fertilizers were used. In this study we discussed how they affected plant growth and how they improved the biochemical properties of sandy soil. The different concentration (2g, 4g, 6g) of banana peel powder, milk tea waste powder and coconut peat were used in this study. The result showed that the highest plant height, root height, number of leaves and shoot height was found in 4g milk tea waste powder in both plants spinach and coriander compared to other fertilizers and control plant. This observation is suggested that the use of milk tea waste is feasible amendment strategy for improving the growth and soil fertility quality of sediments.

Bioinformatics in integration to computational biology is a novel field which applies computer to biology, with which biologists are able to make detailed use of biological data for its advancement. In bioinformatics, the computers are used for the storage followed by the processing and analyzing, along with retrieval of large amounts of biologic and genomic data. In recent years, the field of Bioinformatics is gaining more interest. Earlier, the methodology adopted by the researchers to generate, collect followed by the analysis of various types of scientific data, which is the most time consuming and quite expensive for the work to be carried out. On the other hand with the help of computational tools & techniques, software & databases, one can process a large amount of biological data in a short span such as computer-aided drug designing (CADD). Environment and its protection in today's word are the most challenging. The problems associated with its protection, planning can be resolved by the best bases of Information technology. Introduction:

Metabolomics is an important " omics " technology, complementary to genomics and proteomics, as parts of systems biology, giving information (qualitative fingerprints and quantitative profiling) as a mirror of cell and extracellular metabolic activity. A cohort of small metabolites are involved in the control and regulation of cellular functions, as intermediates or final products, their presence or levels being useful for the early diagnosis of different pathologies. Bioinformatics tools are mandatory for a future " computational " metabolomics, needed to manage large number of experimentally acquired data obtained from biological samples (plants, animal or human tissues). This review presents updated information about different high-throughput analytical techniques and data acquisition software (1-2), the pre-processing of data, converted to specific matrices, further processed by specific normalization and alignment procedures (3), then analysed by statistical univariate and multivariate chemometric and /or statistical techniques (4), identifying biomarkers by comparison with databases (5), and finally elucidating the networks and pathways (6). New software is available for data conversion, pre-processing, alignment algorithms, bucketing, normalization, underlying the challenges and comparisons with international data bases. Finally, the accurate identification of individual molecules as biomarkers, either evaluated by untargeted metabolomics techniques (Principal Component Analysis-PCA), Cluster Analysis-CA) or supervised ones (Partial Least Square Discriminant Analysis (PLS-DA) is presented. The accurate identification of metabolites and their involvement in metabolic networks and pathways became possible by well-established databases (HMDB, LIPID MAPS, KEGG, etc.), to validate all experimental data. Bioinformatics is a sine-qua-non tool, to be used and valorised by untargeted or targeted metabolomics, as an integrated technology in systems biology.

This Diabetes is a metabolic disorder that occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or when the body cannot effectively use the insulin it produces. It is classified into two basic forms Type I and Type II diabetes. Bioinformatics Laboratory comprises of various techniques like sequence similarity, structural analysis, molecular Docking, optimization technique certain advanced algorithms. Computer-assisted drug design approach has contributed to the successful discovery of several novel antidiabetic agents. Molecular Docking continues to be a great promise in the field of computer based drug design. Several simulation models have been proposed to study the physiology and pathophysiology of diabetes. Biological databases and Atlas plays an important role in getting up-to-date global report on diabetes. Like so many other areas of medicine, Bioinformatics has had a profound impact on diabetes research.

Escherichia coli (abbreviated as E. coli) is a common bacterium both in daily life and scientific researches. In order to demonstrate the biophysical properties of Escherichia coli, the 3D model and simulation of E. coli are built based on Blender, helping with the visualization. First, a brief introduction to Blender explains why it's chosen as the modelling software and demonstrates the advantages of Blender by comparison; next, the whole process of how the model is built through basic shapes and modifiers is provided step by step. Lastly, several C# scripts in Unity are written to make the model move as real Escherichia coli in a low Reynolds number environment to simulate the behaviour of the cell in line with a given motion mode. The final result manifests the above methods have a great performance in the construction and simulation of E. coli, which could offer ideas for further study of the simulation of the microorganism.

Gene finding as process of identification of genomic DNA regions encoding proteins , is one of the important scientific research programs and has vast application in structural genomics ,functional genomics ,metabolomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, genome studies and other genetic related studies including genetics disorders detection, treatment and prevention .It is prominent that for study of all above mentioned research programs , identification of fundamental and essential elements of genome such as functional genes, intron, exon, splicing sites, regulatory sites, gene encoding known proteins, motifs, EST, ACR, etc are formed principle basis of the studies and these functions are employed by gene prediction or finding process. So gene finding process plays significant role in the study of genome related programs. Several methods are available for gene finding such as laboratory based approaches, feature based approaches homology based approaches, statistical and HMM based approaches. In this paper, we aim to discuss Insilco approaches for gene prediction in order to make scientist familiar with available bioinformatics tools for gene finding to take benefit from their advantages including low in cost, rapid in time, high in accuracy and large in scale.

The mumps virus is a negative-strand RNA virus in the family Paramyxoviridae. Mumps infection results in an acute illness with symptoms including fever, headache, and myalgia, followed by swelling of the salivary glands. Complications of mumps can include meningitis, deafness, pancreatitis, orchitis, and first-trimester abortion. Symptoms of mumps usually appear within two weeks of exposure to the virus. Mumps virus doesn’t respond to antibiotics or other medications. Vaccination is the only way to prevent mumps. Therefore, every newborn infants and children receive the vaccine against measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) at the same time. The MMR vaccine is currently given on a two-dose. One dose of mumps containing vaccine has an efficacy of 88%, with efficacy increasing to approximately 95% with two doses. In silico tools and techniques which are include retrieval of Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1A protein sequence from the UniProt KB database and physicochemical parameter analyzed by using Protoparam tool. In that Leucine had a maximum amino acid composition. The structure of a protein has a very important role in its function. The secondary structure was predicted by using SOPMA tool which indicated that the percentage of Random coils was higher than the percentage of alpha helix and extended strand. Then the 3D structure of Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1A was predicted by using SWISS MODEL server and the model was validated by using PROCHECK analysis after validation of the model, the validation score was 94.7%.

A strategy for adaptive control and energetic optimization of aerobic fermentors was implemented, with both air flow and agitation speed as manipulated variables. This strategy is separable in its components: control, optimization, estimation. We optimized parameter’s estimation (from the usual KLa correlation) using sinusoidal excitation of air flow and agitation speed. We have implemented parameter’s estimation trough recursive least squares algorithm with forgetting factor. We carried separate essays on control, optimization and estimation algorithms. We carried our essays using an original computational simulation environment, with noise and delay generating facilities for data sampling and filtering.

Our results show the convergence and robustness of the estimation algorithm used, improved with use of both forgetting factor and KLa dead-band facilities. Control algorithm used in our work compares favorably with PID using the integrated area criteria for deviation between oxygen molarity and critical molarity (set point). Optimization algorithm clearly reduces energetic consumption, respecting critical molarity. Integration of control, optimization and adaptive algorithms was implemented, but future work is needed for stability. Methods were defined and implemented for stability improvement. We have implemented data acquisition and computer manipulation of air flow and agitation speed for actual fermentors.

Commiphora wightii (Arn.) Bhandari is a well known herbal plant of Burseraceae family. It is widely distributed in tropical regions of Africa, Madagascar and Asia. In India it is found in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. C. wightii are known to contain chemical constituents belonging to different chemical groups, namely, alkaloids, glycosides, steroids, terpenoids, flavonoids, coumarins, tannins, and anthraquinones. In the present study we performed the phytochemical screening and chromatographic separations of phyto-constituents by using thin layer chromatography (TLC).Preliminary phytochemical screening of methanolic stem bark extract revealed that the presence of all phytochemical except proteins, amino acids, saponins, oils and fats. In the petroleum ether extract only carbohydrates, alkaloids, glycosides and phytosterol were present. The results of TLC shows that solvent system Toulene: Acetone (9.3:0.7) gave best separation having 6 spots with UV short with Rf value 0.75, 0.59, 0.56, 0.52, 0.44, 0.36, 0.29 where as in UV long it was 7 spots having Rf value 0.40, 0.37, 0.29, 0.16, 0.15, 0.08, 0.03.

This paper presents a methodology to estimate the parameters of a single-phase induction motor (SPIM) equivalent circuit using a dc test, a locked-rotor test, and a no-load test. By neglecting the core-loss resistance, the SPIM parameters can be first directly calculated using a simplified equivalent circuit. However, an equivalent circuit using the resultant parameter values fail to match the power input measured at the motor terminals, especially for the active power under the no-load test. We include the core-loss resistance into the parameter estimation framework and use the Newton-Raphson (N-R) algorithm to improve the estimates obtained by the direct calculation method. Experimental results on a laboratory SPIM demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed N-R based parameter estimation scheme, in terms of excellent match with the active and reactive power measurement data from the aforementioned tests, and mismatch reduction at other operating conditions.

The continuous quest for knowledge stimulates companies and research institutions not only to investigate new ways to improve the quality of scientific experiments, but also to reduce the time and costs needed for its implementation in distributed environments. The management of provenance descriptors collected during the life cycle of scientific experiments may represent an important goal to be achieved. This thesis presents a new strategy which was focused to aid scientists to manage different kinds of provenance descriptors. It describes a computational approach that uses a well founded ontology named OvO (Open proVenance Ontology) and a provenance infrastructure entitled Matriohska that can be attached to scientific workflows executed on distributed and heterogeneous environments like the cloud of computers. The approach also allows scientists to further perform semantic queries on provenance descriptors with distinct types of granularity.

Once a suitable reference sequence is generated, genomic differences within a species are 25 often assessed by re-sequencing. Variant calling processes can reveal all differences between 26 two strains, accessions, genotypes, or individuals. These variants can be enriched with 27 predictions about their functional implications based on available structural annotations. 28

Computer based analysis of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) has the potential to provide major novel insights of benefit both to specific individuals in the context of personalized medicine, as well as on the level of population-wide health care and policy. The present paper introduces a novel algorithm that uses machine learning for the discovery of longitudinal patterns in the diagnoses of diseases. Two key technical novelties are introduced: one in the form of a novel learning paradigm which enables greater learning specificity, and another in the form of a risk driven identification of confounding diagnoses. We present a series of experiments which demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed techniques, and which reveal novel insights regarding the most promising future research directions.

There are many reasons may cause effort useless, impossible or incapacitating in traditional drug discovery, e.g. the traditional way of development a new drugs takes 10-15 years and costs 400-800 millions US dollars, and complex diseases like cancer are regulated by large, interconnected networks with many pathways affecting cell proliferation, invasion, and drug resistance reaching to deadlock [18]. The fact that most of bioinformatics tools based on linux environment when try to dock using open source the Autodock Vina (a next generation of Autodock 4) in drug discovery and avoided working under windows platform (which is common in use) because from view of practice it has some gaps/drowbacks. This research offers the development of high-throughput method in both biology and chemistry that can be used the bioinformatics tools in drug discovery, as insilico method in drug discovery based on molecular docking using Windows platform, and solving all technical problems which contained it. The experimental result reveals the suggested approach gives windows platform results matching to linux platform, i.e. experimental result shows solving all the conjugation bugs/gaps to the windows platform when implementing the docking procedure.

The computational techniques in drug discovery have drastically reduced the time and cost involved in drug development. The in-silico techniques have enhanced the understanding of molecular properties and the specific behavior of drug-receptor interaction at the molecular level. Hence, it is necessary to develop these skills and expertise in modern and sophisticated tools related to drug discovery. The objective of this workshop is to orient the participant to the basic knowledge of drug design and provide hands-on training on Molecular Docking.

Cephalosporins were developed to overcome the allergic problems associated with penicillins (Lowe, 2001), also they have broad antibacterial spectrum, and in addition was highly resistant to β-lactamase . Cephalosporins are made from cephalosporin C, the fermentation product of Cephalosporium acremonium, which after extraction and purification, is hydrolyzed, either enzymatically or chemically, to the active nucleus, 7-aminocephalosporanic acid (7-ACA), which serves as substrate for the chemical synthesis of injectable and oral semi-synthetic cephalosporins .

The present study aimed at investigating computational method in analyzing molecular genetic variation of HSP70 of goats. A total of twenty Caprine HSP70 amino acid sequences were retrieved from the GenBank (NCBI). The phylogeny based on amino acid sequences of HSP70 revealed close and differential clustering among the sequences. The predicted 3D HSP70 protein structures of goat aligned well with the templates. The present information may provide context for functional characterization of Caprine HSP70 in order to define cellular components and physiological mechanisms of the species to heat stress especially in Nigeria, sub-saharan Africa.
