In today's era of advanced technology, we all are affected by radiation to some extent. This paper mainly deals with non-ionizing radiation and its effects, along with that we have made an attempt to reduce the radiation to some extent. Exposure to radiation after a significant limit has impacts on our body, on micro-level as well as on macro level. Sever places and objects have been taken into account in order to measure the radiation including the electric pylons and cell site radiations. Two parameters have been considered under radiation i.e. E-field and H-field which stands for electric field and magnetic field respectively. In the end, an optimal solution has been provided so as to minimize the radiation and the concept of shielding has been introduced. Different types of shielding were used and tested for E-field and H-field. Some natural components like cactus and aloe Vera plants were found to be helpful in reducing the value of electromagnetic radiation. With upcoming advanced communication technologies like 5G, 6G the radiation will on increasing and we must take precautions, similar suggestions have been proposed with solutions in this paper.

The paper deals with solving electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) problems in the design of a new, case study, industrial high voltage test laboratory, intended to be used for testing of transformers and other apparatus up to 550 kV rated voltage. Modern high voltage test facilities are equipped, apart from primary test devices like AC, DC and impulse voltage generators etc., also with sophisticated numerical measuring instruments and informatics technology. Since such devices are sensitive to transient overvoltages, the highest degree of EMC is to be secured. This can be achieved by proper earthing and screening of test laboratory, what shall be designed in a way to satisfy all requirements conditioned by building lightning protection, personal protection and system earthing, avoiding electromagnetic compatibility disturbances at the same time. One of the main tasks is solving electromagnetic compatibility problems caused by outdoor electromagnetic disturbances originating from vari...

A utomatic test equipment (ATE) is a term that, in its broadest meaning, indicates a generic system capable of performing measurements in an automatic or semiautomated (human-assisted) way. Years ago, this term was used specifically to refer to an automated measurement system employed to test the functionality of some electronic device-under-test (DUT). Typical applications were in the manufacturing area, where ATE had a twofold nature: in-circuit testing and functional testing. For in-circuit testing, ATE often were stand-alone complex programmable machines, equipped with a bed-of-nails adapter specifically designed as a fixture to provide signal inputs and meaningful test-points of the DUT. The test engineer had the responsibility of writing code that deter-mined the exact sequence of stimulus signals, response measurements, and go/no-go decisions. For this aim, a switch matrix and the ATE itself were suitably controlled and coordinated by a workstation. For functional testing, ATE consisted of off-the-shelf instruments connected to the DUT by some kind of front-end adapter. In the latter case, most of the effort of the test engineer consisted of designing a program to control the various instruments to assess DUT performances. When planning the use of a dedicated testing machine as opposed to a test bench, other factors were taken into account: measurement speed, cost, and fault coverage.

Abstract- In the paper the performance of a portable data acquisition system under radiated electromagnetic disturbances is investigated, in order to find out if and how its peculiar characteristics change with respect to the ones measured in absence of electromagnetic field. The analysis is carried out by means of experimental tests, subjecting the system under test to the threats considered by the IEC-61326 standard and following the test procedures prescribed in the IEC-61000-4-3 standard. The results show that the electromagnetic influence can lead to a worsening of the tested data acquisition system features.
Measurement Science Review, 2019
The article presents a theoretical analysis of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and experimental measurement of effects of radiation and acoustic emission of high-voltage transformers for electronic equipment and working personnel in a control room. Electromagnetic compatibility and safety of equipment are not considered as two distinct areas of study in electric and electronic safety. Economic criteria cannot compromise safety but at the same time immunity levels must be relevant in order to establish a “Functional Safety”. Introducing Special Immunity Levels in the level of equipment testing allows us to combine the two areas of EMC and safety. The measurement was carried out in high-current of very high-voltage distribution station. A real-life analysis of effects of electric and electromagnetic field was carried out. FFT was used for mathematical processing of data which were later presented in a graphical form of a spectrally analyzed area. In the last part of the paper we d...

The straightforward comparison between electromagnetic environment measurements and immunity levels for industrial, scientific, and medical equipment has been used in the technical literature as an ordinary method to provide electromagnetic compatibility management within critical areas, such as hospital and industrial environments. This paper addresses a theoretical discussion concerning emission and immunity test features to focus the aforementioned problem. Finally, a more reliable comparison method is proposed, the environmental compatibility level definition, using analytical analysis and measurement results.

The unique social and physical structures of each city affect the quality of life of its residents and wildlife. Urban green spaces are important components of urban areas that provide many benefits for human wellness as well as habitat for non-human life. Given these benefits, residents might value having green urban landscapes, and decisions about urban planning are often at least partially driven by societal wishes. Economists use the term “willingness to pay” as a measure of how satisfied people are with certain features, including urban design. Economic valuation of urban green spaces has been conducted in the Global North, but few such studies have been published from the Global South. We performed our study in Hamedan City, Iran, and assessed the views of residents regarding its green spaces using contingent valuation. Respondents' willingness to pay was significantly and positively correlated with income and education; preferred urban green spaces to be distributed across the city; and showed a preference for diverse land uses and covers, with only ten percent favoring a uniform landscape. Furthermore, two thirds of individuals indicated a preference for smaller urban patches. The average willingness to pay for green urban landscape preservation was $0.93 per person per month, translating to over $6.4 million per year. Principal Component Analysis identified four principal components, related to economic status, geographic origins, gender, and aesthetics. Both economic status and geographic origin, but not gender or esthetic preferences, were significantly correlated with willingness to pay. Despite average per capita monthly income in Iran reported to be below $450), Iranians show an appreciation of urban green spaces, suggesting citizens of economically challenged countries nonetheless would like to see greater investment in urban green spaces.
