ISSN 1335-9096 (online) Review Policy The Slovak Journal of Political Sciences (SJPS) seeks manuscripts that make outstanding contributions to scholarly knowledge about theoretical concerns, empirical issues, or methodological strategies in any subfield of Political Sciences. The SJPS will not review manuscripts that are under consideration for publication elsewhere or manuscripts with contents that have been substantially published elsewhere. Papers that do not meet the formatting and submission guidelines will not be sent out for review. Articles are selected for publication in the SJPS on the basis of a double-blind peer review process. Please allow up to 4 months for the completion of the review process. Based on the verdicts, we will either: • ACCEPT: The manuscript warrants publication as an anonymous peer reviewed article. It is well conceived and executed. • ACCEPT WITH MINOR REVISIONS: The manuscript should be accepted after minor revisions, noted in the comments, are made. It will then be a sound contribution as an anonymous peer reviewed article. (The reviewer’s comments must be sufficient for the author to respond to the reviewer’s concerns.) • REVISE AND RESUBMIT: The manuscript does not warrant publication in its current form, but it will warrant publication as an anonymous peer reviewed article with suggested revisions. (The reviewer’s comments must be sufficient for the author to respond to the reviewer’s concerns.) • REJECT: The manuscript does not warrant publication as an anonymous peer reviewed article. Although the opponents’ reviews are of crucial importance, the final decision on acceptance of the article for publishing, or its rejection, is solely the right and responsibility of the Editorial team and the Editor-in-Chief. In case of contradictory or otherwise conflicting reviews, a third one will be solicited.
