Nowadays transmission of images in computer, mobile and internet are essential. To store an image, large quantities of digital data are required. Due to the problem of limited bandwidth, there is need to compress the image before transmission. To make clear of this problem several image compression techniques have been developed in image processing. This study presents a survey on recent Image Compression Techniques.
With the growth of modern communication technologies, demand for data compression is increasing rapidly. This Paper gives review of compression principle, classes of compression and various algorithm of image compression. Image Compression is the solution of problems associated with transmission of digital image and storage of large amount of information for digital Image. Compression of Images includes different applications like remote sensing via satellite, broadcasting of Television, and other long distance Communication. Image storage is required for satellite images, medical images, documents and pictures. Image compression is essential for these types of applications. This paper attempts to help for selecting one of the best and popular image compression algorithm.

this paper presents comparative study of various image compression techniques to assess the progress made in the field of image compression effects on different images for different applications. The advancement in the computer vision increases the demand of high data transmission speed as well as need of large storage space. Thus the field of Image compression is now essential for such applications where such high volume data is required to transmit and stored. In this paper, we review about the image compression, need of compression, its principles, and types of compression and different algorithms used for image compression.
The research in the field of image compression is driven by the ever increasing bandwidth requirements for transmission of images in computer, mobile and internet environments. In this context, the survey summarizes the major image compression methods spanning across lossy and lossless image compression techniques and explains how the JPEG and JPEG2000 image compression techniques are distinct from each other. Further, the paper concludes that still research possibilities exist in this field to explore efficient image compression.

Due to the quick development of multimedia technology, now can see the increasing amount of multimedia data that is being generated or transmitted over the internet. digital image is one form of multimedia data, that can take different formats and different sizes. And here comes the main objective of image compression in transmitting or storing the data in an effective manner by decreasing the redundant or irrelevant information without significant loss of visual quality in image data. Compression of the images is utilized in various services, including TV broadcasts, satellite imagery, martial communications, webinars, medical imaging, weather reporting, etc. This paper provides a survey of the main techniques in image compression, covering both lossy & lossless approaches. The techniques that depend on lossy compression lose some of the image details during compression, while lossless compression techniques keep the image information without losing. Vector and scalar Quantization, transform coding, block truncation Coding, etc. are all examples of lossy approaches. Run length coding, entropy encoding, statistical coding, etc. are all examples of lossless techniques. This paper will assist the researchers in learning about these techniques and choosing appropriate techniques for their work.
Image Compression is a wide area. Compression of Images increasing because the raw images need large amounts of disk space seems to be a big disadvantage during transmission & storage. Even though there are so many compression technique already present a better technique which is faster, memory efficient and simple surely suit the requirements of the user. The work is to explain use of different compression techniques more suitable for particular data compression algorithm based on compression ratio, Bit per Pixel, Mean Square Error and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio. Using all four parameters image compression works and gives compressed image as an output.

In this paper we will study the concept of image compression and study about the various technologies applied on the image compressio. Also highlight the benefits of the image compression .In this paper two technologies of image compression are highlighted they are lossless compression, lossy compression and various technology included in them. Image compression is a process of compress the data on digital image. In this technique we can compress image using wavelet function without degrading the quality of that image
Image Compression is a demanding field in this era of communication. There is a need to study and analyze the literature for image compression, as the demand for images, video sequences and computer animation has increased at very high rate so that the increment is drastically over the years. Multimedia data whether graphics, audio, video data which is uncompress requires considerable transmission bandwidth and storage capacity. So this leads to the need of compression of images and all multimedia applications to save storage and transmission time. In this study we discuss different compression algorithms used to reduce size of images without quality reduction.

A comprehensive review and state of the art in the field of surface, interface, and thin-film magnetism is presented. New growth techniques which produce atomically engineered novel materials, special characterization techniques to measure magnetic properties of low-dimensional systems, and computational advances which allow large complex calculations have together stimulated the current activity in this field and opened new opportunities for research. The current status and issues in the area of material growth techniques and physical properties, characterization methods, and theoretical methods and ideas are reviewed. A fundamental understanding of surface, interface, and thin-film magnetism is of importance to many applications in magnetics technology, which is also surveyed. Questions of fundamental and technological interest that offer opportunities for exciting future research are identified.
Rethinking Environmental Education: Challenges, Reflections, and Future Perspectives (Atena Editora), 2024
This study examines the challenges faced in teaching Environmental Education, with an emphasis on the lack of teacher training, the shortage of teaching resources, and resistance to environmental issues. The investigation covers the understanding of fundamental concepts and the historical context, providing a comprehensive view that generates solutions to improve teaching. Updating the National Common Core Curriculum is highlighted as essential, requiring the incorporation of pedagogical practices that directly impact students' local lives. For these practices to be effective, it is crucial to enhance the curriculum, allowing students to disseminate the knowledge they have acquired and contribute positively to sustainable development. The study suggests that an integrated and practical approach to teacher training, combined with the provision of appropriate teaching resources, can reduce resistance to environmental issues and promote more effective environmental education. The research reinforces the importance of well-structured environmental education in forming aware citizens committed to sustainability. Thus, the review and implementation of an updated curriculum are fundamental steps towards achieving more effective and comprehensive environmental education.
