Human activities have changed the planet and lead to the birth of a new era which is known as the "Anthropocene". Changes in land use have lead humans to closer contact with the pathogens of zoonotic diseases, including new strains of bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Zoonotic diseases are the infectious diseases that are caused by pathogens that migrate from wilds to human either through direct transmission or through hosts such as insects, which carries the pathogen without themselves getting infected. In addition to the present SARS-CoV-2 virus causing the global Covid-19 pandemic, several other zoonoses caused several deadly epidemics and pandemics in the past few decades, such as the Bubonic plague, H1N1 Influenza (Swine Flu); H5N1 Influenza (Avian Influenza or Bird flu); Zika Virus; Ebola Virus; Rift Valley fever (RVF); African sleeping sickness (sleeping sickness); Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS); Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS). Zoonotic diseases can be classified according to the ecosystem in which they circulate. They are classified into synanthropic zoonoses and exoanthropic zoonoses. Synanthropic Zoonoses prevailed in the urban cycle and the sources of infection are domestic and synanthropic animals. Examples include rabies, zoonotic ringworm, etc. Exoanthropic zoonosis prevails both in feral and wild cycles and the source of infection is outside human habitats. Examples include Lyme disease, tularemia, etc. There is also another category of zoonoses that can prevail both in wild and urban cycles. The best example is that causing yellow fever. Another category of zoonoses is Sapronoses responsible for human diseases transmissible from an abiotic environment. Sapronotic agents carry on two lifecycles one is in the abiotic substrate which is known as saprophytic lifecycle and another parasitic lifecycle in the body of the homeotherm vertebrate host. Some important sapronoses, like cholera and anthrax are capable of causing epidemics.

In historical discourses early medieval polities occupy a sort of no-man's land between the 'ancient states' of Classical Antiquity and the 'modern states' of later medieval and early modern times. Both embody large-scale, sophisticated administrative and political constructs which are commonly presented as key moments in the genealogy of present-day states-one which acknowledges its classical foundations and modern developments, but is much less at ease with its medieval interlude. For many students of modern states, the significant changes in state governance that took place between the late Middle Ages and the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries-mainly governments' ability to control and monopolize violenceare a convenient point of departure, thereby rendering developments further back in time inconsequential or trivial to the evolution of the 'state'. 1 Nevertheless, it makes little sense to argue that states-however imperfect compared both to modern and Classical ones-did not exist in Europe before the late Middle Ages. 2 In fact, medievalists have put considerable effort into identifying and debating at which stage different polities can be called states, an effort that has traditionally been affected by nationalistic historywriting, projecting desires to push the beginnings of statehood as far back as possible, although this is periodically counterbalanced by revisionist movements. 3 * This text has been prepared with support from the FES2 research project (HAR2010-21950-C03-01), funded by the Plan Nacional de I+D+i. of the Spanish government. In this presentation of (some of) the theoretical concerns that underlie this volume and its constituent chapters, the editors must acknowledge the huge input received from all members of the FES2 project, most especially Wendy Davies and Álvaro Carvajal, as well as from other colleagues, including Isabel Alfonso and Stephen Mileson, who read the many drafts and provided immensely helpful comments. Naturally, any remaining shortcomings and inacurracies are solely the responsibility of the authors. 1 Tilly, Coercion, Capital, and European States. The effects of such a conceptual frontier are similar to the distinctions made in classical sociology between 'modern' and 'traditional' forms of society; see Wagner, Theory, Culture and Society, pp. 151-153. Late medievalists are also increasingly emphasising the importance of non-state polities in the Late Middle Ages, for example Watts, The Making of Polities. 2 Strayer, Medieval Origins.

his study’s main goal is to assess how augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies affect the architectural design process in a learning environment. Enhancing spatial awareness, advancing design communication and encouraging design experimentation are the main goals. This study promotes the reform of design education by incorporating AR/VR technology into architectural programs.
In his introduction to Tosefta, Lieberman states that Lieberman’s Tosefta follows Zuckermandel’s unitization of halakhot. We must qualify this statement to some extent as Lieberman bases his version on the Vienna manuscript while Zuckermandel bases his version on the Erfurt where it is available. As we will see, the difference between manuscripts also causes discrepancies in the numbering of halakhot.
