The globalization and digital environment are essential characteristics of today's rapidly changing world. Inevitably, learning and teaching facilities are under the impact of such changes. As indicated by O'Reilly (2005), web 2.0 tools have become popular. Such tools make use of social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook in addition to Wikipedia and YouTube in which visitors can contribute to the content of the web sites. Previously, individuals' intention when using the Internet may simply have been to surf in order to retrieve information. Such a one-way communication facility requires little interaction with the content of a web page. However, with the democratisation of the Internet web 2.0 tools now provide social connection and allow Internet users to take part in the presentation of materials-such as uploading photos and videos along with publishing personalised blogs and messages by means of social networking sites. The advantages provided by social media and web 2.0 tools may also contribute to contemporary educational facilities. Although this seems to be advantageous in terms of providing alternative education facilities, the long-term implications of such interactions require investigation. Inquiry into the education implications of technological developments promises interesting knowledge contributions for a range of education-related domains. For instance, the simplicity of retrieving information from the Internet has increased concerns related to plagiarism in learners' assignment submissions (e.g. Sentleng & King, 2012). Consequently online plagiarism detectors, such as Turnitin, emerged as prominent quality assurance structures in assessment. Educational research is also required to interrogate the intersections of design needs for innovative and effective learning environments. Technological developments seem to have both simplified and complicated instructional processes and experiences of teachers and students. Instructional technologies used in classrooms have to align with the dynamic trend of change synonymous with a technological era. The use of interactive boards is one such example. In a neo-liberalist marathon, schools compete to replace outdated blackboards with popular interactive boards (Beauchamp, 2004). To effectively benefit from such instructional technologies, teachers need evidence-based training about the utility of interactive boards.
ANÁLISE DAS PSICOPATOLOGIAS COM ÊNFASE EM DEPRESSÃO , 2020
The present study addresses a research on the theme psychopathologies with emphasis on depression it will focus on analyzing depression from the of a psychoanalyst perspective who mainly uses the techniques and concepts to work the conflicts and desires of people according to the father's theories of psychoanalysis and neurologist physician Sigmund Freud (1856-1939). His curiosity led him to know and explore the human psyche, leading him to know the depths of the human mind. As a result of his work, a new science was created linked to others such as neuroscience, psychology, and other philosophical disciplines. The main concept of psychoanalysis allowed a huge understanding of the individual through the "unconscious" until then never studied. In Freud's perspective, more important than knowing what is accessible to us what is conscious, is knowing what is beyond what we can know in a given state of affairs. The psychoanalysis is an area of independent knowledge that has emerged as an alternative way to deal with psychic suffering and to understand the mental functioning of the human being. Their notions and theoretical hypotheses are constructed and articulated in order to create models for the understanding of psychic phenomena that populate the clinic and everyday life. Psychoanalysis has its own organizing principle, its own truth. Understanding its creation and development involves epistemological issues, relationships with other areas of knowledge and their contextualization through history. Freud had the sensitivity and receptivity to listen to the hysteric's speech and to learn what he had to teach him. By listening to the hysteric, Freud created psychoanalysis, its theory, its practice, its therapeutic method, and its ethics. He had the capacity to recognize ignorance and powerlessness in the face of an immense number of situations, in the face of suffering, he launched himself in search of new instruments, new techniques, new concepts.

Archives of Sexual Behavior, 2018
Sexual desire and testosterone are widely assumed to be directly and positively linked to each other despite the lack of supporting empirical evidence. The literature that does exist is mixed, which may result from a conflation of solitary and dyadic desire, and the exclusion of contextual variables, like stress, known to be relevant. Here, we use the Steroid/Peptide Theory of Social Bonds as a framework for examining how testosterone, solitary and partnered desire, and stress are linked over time. To do so, we collected saliva samples (for testosterone and cortisol) and measured desire as well as other variables via questionnaires over nine monthly sessions in 78 women and 79 men. Linear mixed models showed that testosterone negatively predicted partnered desire in women but not men. Stress moderated associations between testosterone and solitary desire in both women and men, but differently: At lower levels of stress, higher average testosterone corresponded to higher average solitary desire for men, but lower solitary desire on average for women. Similarly, for partnered desire, higher perceived stress predicted lower desire for women, but higher desire for men. We conclude by discussing the ways that these results both counter presumptions about testosterone and desire but fit with the existing literature and theory, and highlight the empirical importance of stress and gender norms.

Abstract In any decision process, some kind of “big picture” is assumed. It encompasses a series of interdependent holistic judgments such as what is the overall purpose of the process, what issues are taken into account, what resources are decided upon, and what sources of information and expertise are used. The process of trying to see this big picture is an important element in the process of systems thinking.
Stroke research and treatment, 2012
Stroke is the leading cause of long-term disability for adults in industrialized societies. Rehabilitation's efforts are tended to avoid long-term impairments, but, actually, the rehabilitative outcomes are still poor. Novel tools based on new technologies have been developed to improve the motor recovery. In this paper, we have taken into account seven promising technologies that can improve rehabilitation of patients with stroke in the early future: (1) robotic devices for lower and upper limb recovery, (2) brain computer interfaces, (3) noninvasive brain stimulators, (4) neuroprostheses, (5) wearable devices for quantitative human movement analysis, (6) virtual reality, and (7) tablet-pc used for neurorehabilitation.

Background and Aim: The pathogenesis of staphylococcal infections is mediated by virulence factors, such as enzymes, toxins, and biofilms, which increase the resistance of microorganisms to host immune system evasion. Testing and searching for standardized multi-level algorithms for the indication and differentiation of biofilms at the early stages of diagnosis will contribute to the development of preventive measures to control the critical points of technology and manage dangerous risk factors for the spread of infectious diseases. This research aimed to study the main stages of Staphylococcus aureus biofilm formation in in vitro experiments and to analyze the dynamics of respiratory syndrome development in chickens infected with these bacteria. Materials and Methods: Experimental reproduction of the infectious process was performed using laboratory models: 10-day-old White Leghorn chickens (n = 20). Before the experiments, the birds were divided into two groups according to the principle of analogs: Group I (control, n = 10): the birds were intranasally inoculated with 0.5 cm3 of 0.9% NaCl solution; Group II (experiment, n = 10): the birds were intranasally inoculated with a suspension of S. aureus bacteria, 0.5 cm3, concentration 1 billion/cm3. Results: Colonization of individual areas of the substrate under study in vitro occurred gradually from the sedimentation and adhesion of single motile planktonic cells to the attachment stage of microcolony development. Staining preparations with gentian violet due to the “metachromosia†property of this dye are a quick and fairly simple way to differentiate cells and the intercellular matrix of biofilms. Fixation with vapors of glutaraldehyde and osmium tetroxide preserves the natural architecture of biofilms under optical and scanning electron microscopy. Pure cultures of S. aureus microorganisms were isolated from the blood, lungs, small intestine, liver, kidneys, and spleen after 5–10 days during experimental infection of chickens. Clinical signs of respiratory syndrome developed within 5–6 days after infection. Acute and subacute serousfibrinous airsacculitis, characterized by edema and thickening of the membranes of the air sacs and the presence of turbid, watery, foamy contents in the cavity, was the most characteristic pathomorphological sign. The signs of acute congestive hyperemia and one-sided serous-fibrinous pneumonia developed with significant thickening of fibrinous deposits. In Garder’s gland, there was an increase in the number of secretory sections, indicating hypersecretion of the glands. In the lymphoid follicles of Meckel’s diverticulum, leukocytes, usually lymphocytes, and pseudoeosinophils were detected. Conclusion: Hydration and heteromorphism of the internal environment of biofilms determine the localization of differentiated cells in a three-dimensional matrix for protection against adverse factors. The most characteristic pathomorphological sign was the development of acute and subacute serous-fibrinous airsacculitis when reproducing the infectious process in susceptible models. There was a significant thickening of fibrinous deposits and signs of acute congestive hyperemia and one or two serous-fibrinous pneumonia developed. Keywords: airsacculitis, avian, biofilm, pathogenesis, respiratory syndrome pneumonia, Staphylococcus aureus.
