A look at how America has been conditioned through cognitive dissonance and predictive programming to subconsciously accept the extreme sex and violence attributed to Satanism and to slowly reintegrate the practice of Eugenics with abortion.
The Cambridge Companion to New Religious Movements, 2012
“Satanism” connotes a range of different things: a belief in and worship of Satan; the practice of nonconformity; a tragic resistance to oppression; or even bloody sacrificial rituals. What is meant by the use of Satan, Satanism and Satanist is therefore in large part determined by practices of ascription – and it is very important whether these words are ascribed to oneself or someone else. What we offer in this chapter is a framework for studying modern Satanism rather than a study of the phenomenon itself. After briefly surveying the history of modern religious Satanism in relation to other cultural narratives, this chapter will propose a typology of Satanism, present selected groups and influential formulations in the wider territory of what we call the “satanic milieu”, and discuss identity construction and recruitment through various gateways to and from popular culture.
Our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus in the Roman Catholic Church are to be highly respected and appreciated for being in the forefront of, though not the only ones in, the historic spiritual warfare in which the Lord's followers are engaged (e.g., Ephesians 6:10-18) and especially with the battle against Satan and his demons. Those within the Roman Catholic Church to whom the Holy Spirit has given the gift of exorcism have extraordinary stories to tell, including contemporary exorcisms in Jesus' name and power, which illustrate the Biblical teaching about this egregious evil. The excellent article below, while written from a Roman Catholic theological perspective, contains important information for every Christian to know about the existence and practices of Satanism, of which most people are unaware, including many deceptions in society that lead unsuspecting and undiscerning people, including children, into Satanism. Also consider, e.g., the implications for Halloween. Significantly, much of the information comes from inside Satanism, from former Satanists who have converted to Christ Jesus. Pay close attention and pray for the Triune God to help you and the whole global church to use this information to more effectively serve the Lord Jesus Christ in, and with His help win, the spiritual warfare He has commissioned us, His followers, to engage. This article explores the development and ideology of The Satanic Temple, against the background of current American politics. The Satanic Temple is a recent addition to the Satanic milieu, and is positioned here as a form of “rationalist” Satanism that draws on the figure of Satan as a symbol of rebel- lion. The discussion follows the emergence of The Satanic Temple and its introduction to the mainstream media around 2012, the influences of eso- teric, feminist, and secularist ideas on the group, and its present manifestation as a politically engaged “occulture.”

Satanism is one of those controversial subjects that causes many people to recoil or to react with disgusttypically without them really knowing what it's all about, or without them even trying to. Of course, given what little they do know about itand what sort of propaganda has been fed to them, how can one really blame them? After all, they only know what they've been told from the pulpit, or via a Christian TV preacherdistilled through decades of pop-culture media disinformation, out-of-touch-withreality law-enforcement fantasy, and religious fanatic wishful thinking. But they've read the papers, listened to those late-night Christian radio talk shows, and watched Christian experts appearing on Sunday night SABC TV shows, so what more could they possibly need to know about the sticky subject of Satanism and the occult? A lot, as it turns out. What follows is an explanation of what Satanism isnot from a prejudiced Christian perspective, but from a factual, realistic academic viewpoint, detailing the differences between Satanism (NRM) and what the propaganda claims it isculminating in the definition of Christianity-created Pseudo-satanism (CCPS). Keywords: Satanism, New Religious Movements, conflation, Christianity-created pseudo-satanism, atheistic Satanism, theistic Satanism, satanic-panic, hysteria, misconceptions, satanic ritual abuse, occult related crimes, occult experts, frauds, fakes, charlatans, South Africa.

There are numerous diverse forms of Satanism globally in terms of religion, which include theistic, atheistic and even non-theistic forms, and using different archetypes and deistic identities within their beliefs and practices, including Satan, Lucifer and Set, et al. Numerous examples of “occult experts” exist, who deliberately distort Satanism, Satanic literature, or perceptions of these, in order to conflate Satanism as a new religious movement with the Christian-created self-fulfilling prophecy and archetype of “mythical” or “pseudo-satanism”. In South Africa, claims of “Satanic Ritual Abuse” are still regarded as the purview of law enforcement in a front-line sense rather than as an issue to be addressed by the mental health profession first and foremost, as is the practice in other countries such as the USA, and UK. Christian clergy holding influential positions within law enforcement have historically worked to separate the perception of Satanism in South Africa from that of other countries, which they describe as “law-abiding” and “harmless”, in order to demonize and persecute local Satanism as “harmful religious practice”, “anti-God” and “a belief system which leads to crime”. Instead of being interpreted through the lens of mental health as in other countries, alleged “satanic crimes” committed by criminals adopting the “devil made me do it” defenses are instead taken at their word and discussed and interpreted through religious views of an elite religious police “occult related crimes unit”. From a view internal to Satanism as a new religious movement, the disparities between religious forms of Satanism and the specter of so-called “occult-related crime” as pushed forward by persecutors of Satanism, are glaringly obvious. In spite of a tendency by supporters of “Satanic Panic” conspiracy theory to conflate religious Satanism and “pseudo-satanism” with each other, the differences between Satanism as a new religious movement and the Christian-created and promulgated tabloid-prophecy-fulfilling myth called “pseudo-satanism” are many and clear, and their origins and adherants exist in a totally separate manner, as discussed in this paper. In spite of this clarity to those close enough to the subject to perceive these differences for themselves, many others not suitably placed to perceive these differences, seem to have difficulty in separating or differentiating Satanism in its religious forms from the archetype of “pseudo-satanism”. Many even reject attempts to correct the misconceptions and assumptions under which they operate. Once the clear key differences between Satanism as a NRM and the archetype of “pseudo-satanism” are more widely understood, this could only lead to the end of a perpetually threatening and omnipresent recurrent religious moral panic - the specter of “Satanic Panic” hysteria, elements of which is still evident in South Africa even today. Keywords: Satanism, New Religious Movements, conflation, pseudo-satanism, satanic-panic, hysteria, misconceptions, satanic ritual abuse, occult related crimes unit, South Africa.
