Optimal parameters of leaching of non-ferrous and noble metals from mill tailing by solutions in the presence of oxidizing agents (paramagnetic catalyst) are investigated. The optimum concentration of sulfuric acid and sodium cyanide was determined in the leaching of gold-containing mill tailings. It is shown that the presence of oxidizing agents in solutions leads to an increase in the extraction of metals into the solution. It was found that the extraction of gold, copper, zinc, lead and manganese during the process of conventional sulfuric acid leaching is significantly lower than during the presence of an oxidizing agent.Dissolution of copper, depending on the different concentration of sulfuric acid (g / dm3: 5.0, 10.0, 15.0, 20.0) showed that the degree of metal extraction by using oxidizing agents increases, respectively, 35.2%,

Toward 1270, a noblewoman wrote to Thomas Aquinas, John Peckham, and an anonymous jurist, seeking their counsel concerning the good government of her subjects and of Jews. Whether the correspondent was a duchess of Brabant or the countess of Flanders has long been a matter of contention, as has the dating of the three replies and the relationship between them. Comparing anew all three texts, this article argues that the correspondent was not seeking advice on how best to govern Jews already dwelling within her lands, but was instead grappling with the possibility of welcoming new Jewish settlement. This rereading firmly establishes the identity of the correspondent as Margaret of Constantinople, Countess of Flanders, and sheds new light on the politics surrounding the Jewish presence in northwestern Europe in the closing decades of the thirteenth century.

In this millennium the organized fashion retailing is no longer selling, displaying the apparels or the customer service where Visual merchandising plays an important role. Visual merchandising is a presentation of merchandise to best-selling advantage and for maximum traffic exposure, plus projection of customer “ready-to-buy”. Visual merchandising creates the in-store environment that supports the retailer’s marketing and merchandising strategies which sets the mood, invites, attracts, welcomes and informs the shoppers. In this study an attempt has been made to identify the awareness among the consumers about the visual merchandising in particular to the fashion apparel retail stores. About 175 questionnaires were distributed randomly to the customers of different types of fashion apparel stores in malls situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Out of which 149 were responded. The response rate works out to 85.14%. The concept of visual merchandising has been analyzed using 13 variables such as Color & lighting; Fragrance & music; Interior wallpaper &carpets; Thematic display: the story behind; Arrangement; Ease of access; Employee team; Variety & Volume; Arousal; Dominance; Perceived Store Luxury; Pleasure and Store choice in a five point scale. The alpha value for all the 13 variables works out to 0.8579 which indicates that the variables are good for the study. The factorial method of data reduction technique enabled to group the variables in to three components and the components were named as Ambience/Décor; Merchandise; and Perceived Store Luxury, Emotions and Choice. The alpha value for all the three factors were 0.7736; 0.8100 and 0.8250 which indicates that all the variables are acceptable in nature for further study. The first three preferences of Ambience/décor were Color & lighting; Fragrance & music; and Interior, wallpaper &carpets. In the case of merchandising the preference were Variety & volume of merchandise; ease of access to merchandise; and Employee team. In the case of Perceived Store Luxury, the preferences were Perceived Store Luxury; Emotions and Store Choice. In this study SEM model has been employed to indicate the strength of the relationships between the factors taken for the study. In all the study indicates Fragrance, Interior and arrangement of merchandise were expected to have top preference.
Beyond the core, regionality in British prehistory, 2011
This volume explores the idea of regionally-based archaeologies across the British Isles which are not necessarily defined by modern political boundaries or through comparisons with regions such as Wessex and Orkney. In the past these intensively studied areas have often been assumed to represent the 'typical' - other areas with apparently different narratives have generally been labelled 'peripheral' and their diversity and distinctiveness overlooked. Assumptions about these core-based models have been challenged, especially by archaeologists in Ireland and Scotland and to some extent Wales. In England, despite more than two decades of intensive developer-funded archaeological investigation, new regional narratives are only just beginning to emerge. The 12 contributions to the collection - based on a session at the Exeter TAG conference in 2006 - identify distinctive elements of the prehistoric archaeology of a number of discrete areas across the British Isles, from Cornwall to Scotland and south-east England to Ireland. Some also consider how archaeologically coherent regions might be defined and the associated methodological problems in approaching such definitions. Others examine the ways in which 'universal' artefact forms and monument types have been interpreted in different areas, and how different patterns of contact, with the Continent or other regions, may have affected the construction of identities.
