Tak lupa kami ucapkan terima kasih kepada pengajar mata kuliah Pembelajaran IPS di MI/SD atas bimbingan dan arahan dalam penulisan makalah ini. Juga kepada rekan-rekan mahasiswa yang telah ikut andil dalam penyusunan makalah ini, sehingga makalah ini dapat diselesaikan tepat pada waktunya. Diharapkan makalah kami ini dapat berguna bagi setiap orang yang membacanya terkhususnya bagi mahasiswa FITK. 3. To assess the extent and pattern of internal labour migration in India. 4. To show the existing level of poverty, unemployment, human development index and other basic needs in Indian states where migration is mainly taking place. 5. To bring out the problems being faced by labour migrants postmigration. 6. To give policy suggestions for better opportunities for migrants. Review of Literature Harris and Todaro (1970) postulated that migration was driven by non-economic and irrational motivations, termed as the bright city lights. Regarding developing countries, they observe that migration is much higher in terms of absolute numbers of migrants due to urbanisation than in developed nations. They emphasised that rural-urban labour migration in LDCs take place due to an individual's expectation of higher urban income.

Em finais da Idade Média, os espaços da água são cada vez mais alvo da atenção das autoridades urbanas. Ao seu papel no abastecimento às populações urbanas, associou-se uma crescente preocupação com o seu papel nos fenómenos de doença e pobreza. Este trabalho dedica-se precisamente a analisar como este processo decorreu na Lisboa tardomedieval, observando a sua articulação com os poderes locais e a cada vez maior intervenção da Coroa. A partir das diversas componentes dos sistemas de água urbanos (captação, condução e distribuição): observamos a relação entre a distribuição das principais fontes na cidade e o desenvolvimento de tecnologias alternativas de captação da água; identificamos a forma como essas estratégias se alteraram nas formas de condução e evacuação deste recurso; examinamos como isso se articulou com o desenvolvimento do poder simbólico da Coroa a partir do exemplo do Chafariz d’el-Rei; analisamos como este processo acompanhou as preocupações com a saúde e a limpeza da Lisboa quinhentista.

Drawing comparisons with Europe's historical democratic evolution, it highlights how Arab states, shaped by post-colonial agreements, struggle with fragile national identities. The article explores how current democratic efforts emphasize tolerance over true equality and questions whether the region will experience a long-term transition to a fully realized democratic system, similar to Europe’s gradual shift over centuries.
