As a result of archaeological research conducted in the Southern Caucasus, including Azerbaijan, a number of settlements belonging to the Late Chalcolithic period were discovered. A research has shown that the Late Chalcolithic culture in Azerbaijan has its own characteristics, and the “Ovçular Tepe culture” and “Leyla Tepe culture” were formed here. But despite this, many of Caucasian scholar’s studies generally named the Late Chalcolithic culture of the Southern Caucasus sometimes the Sioni Culture, sometimes Sioni-Tsopi Culture, sometimes Sioni ceramics, and sometimes Sioni-type monuments in textbooks. Recently, this culture has been named the Sioni-Tsopi-Ginchi Culture. According to all these facts it can be said that the Sioni Culture has become the synonym of the Late Chalcolithic culture of the Southern Caucasus. The investigation of Late Chalcolithic monuments located in the Southern Caucasus shows that they differ from each other in terms of their architecture and ceramics. The period and characteristic features of the Sioni Culture also are not fully defined. Ceramics belonging to the second group in the Tumbul Tepe settlement are similar to Sioni ceramics in some of their characteristics. However, researches show that this type of ceramics was not a separate culture, but a part of the Late Chalcolithic culture. We believe that the reason for such diversity of ceramics is related to their functional purpose. Even if it is possible to call a group of Late Chalcolithic monuments in the Southern Caucasus the Sioni-Tsopi-Ginchi Culture, it is not correct, in our opinion, to attribute this to all the monuments of the Southern Caucasus. It should be noted that this type of ceramics, distributed in different periods and monuments of different characteristics, differs from each other due to local characteristics. This shows that they do not spread from one center.

A proposal for conversational questionnaires, 2019
This paper proposes a new approach for collecting lexical and grammatical data: one that meets the need to control the features to be elicited, while ensuring a fair level of idiomaticity. The method, called conversational questionnaires, consists in eliciting speech not at the level of words or of isolated sentences, but in the form of a chunk of dialogue. Ahead of fieldwork, a number of scripted conversations are written in the area’s lingua franca, each anchored in a plausible real-world situation – whether universal or culture-specific. Native speakers are then asked to come up with the most naturalistic utterances that would occur in each context, resulting in a plausible conversation in the target language. Experience shows that conversational questionnaires provide a number of advantages in linguistic fieldwork, compared to traditional elicitation methods. The anchoring in real-life situations lightens the cognitive burden on consultants, making the fieldwork experience easier for all. The method enables efficient coverage of various linguistic structures at once, from phonetic to pragmatic dimensions, from morphosyntax to phraseology. The tight-knit structure of each dialogue makes it an effective tool for cross-linguistic comparison, whether areal, historical or typological. Conversational questionnaires help the linguist make quick progress in language proficiency, which in turn facilitates further stages of data collection. Finally, these stories can serve as learning resources for language teaching and revitalization. Five dialogue samples are provided here as examples of such questionnaires. Every linguist is encouraged to write their own dialogues, adapted to a region’s linguistic and cultural profile. Ideally, a set of such texts could be developed and made standard among linguists, so as to create comparable or parallel corpora across languages – a mine of data for typological comparison. Which experiences, practices, and memories of a contemporary Argentinian publisher become part of their memoirs? How do publishers define their own trajectories? This article analyzes a relatively recent phenomenon in the field of publishing: the multiplication of books by publishers based on their own work, which is a key source for researchers of the publishing world. The present study focuses on the case of Un camino con los libros by Leandro de Sagastizábal (2023), memoirs with stories from 45 years of a career. This analysis defines two main dimensions: the ways in which the narrative is structured, and the aspects of the trajectory and of publishing that are highlighted. This article describes the style of the text; next, after identifying the periodization of the career, defines structuring facets of the publishing work: a) publisher-book promoter; b) publisher-professor/researcher; c) publisher-author; d) publisher-publisher; and e) publisher-adviser-public official. This analysis leads to theoretical reflections that remain to be explored on the ways memories become biographic devices of self-reflection.

An Australian institutional case study is presented on the evaluation approach being adopted for the implementation of a new online learning environment. Well conceived and inclusive evaluation is seen as essential for the quality management of online learning environments. The focus is on identifying and reconciling the informational needs of various stakeholder groups in the institution, and developing a plan of action covering the key period of implementation. The significant judgements required to carry out evaluation in a multi-campus environment cannot be underestimated. This is particularly the case given the more recent move to devolving resources and responsibility for the successful implementation of the environment to faculties in the institution concerned. It calls for a more sophisticated conception and set of practices around distributed leadership, as aided by institutions' teaching and learning centres. A set of strategic recommendations are offered to help with the evaluation task.
